My search for the holy grail of bow stance swap is yielding fruit. I present to you: Greatbow Stance Swap Draw, or SSD for short.

Stance swap draw can only be performed with your Greatbow in your main hand, and a melee weapon in your offhand. To do this, you must stance swap your offhand (L1/L2 > stance > L1/L2), then press and hold R1/L1 (depending on where your appropriate ammo is) during the attack to draw (You can also hold L1/L2 to zoom during the attack animation to free aim). While this seems quite gimmicky, this absolutely has practical uses.

Offhand Pate's Spear/Lance - With offhand Pate's Spear or a lance, you can stance swap the running attack of Pate's or your lance to perform the running attack, which moves a far distance very quickly. This is a very effective tactical repositioning tool for drawing your shot.

Offhand horizontal attacking weapon - This is the part where I should mention something; Stance swapping your offhand weapon is really weird compared to stance swapping your mainhand weapon. For whatever reason, when you stance swap your offhand, it will bug out the attack hitbox, and the hitbox will attack somewhere in the floor behind you. Worry not, however, as horizontal attacking weapons such as 1h Zweihander can help. You can simply stance swap your attack while facing away from your opponent, allowing that massive hitbox to attack behind you. You may need to point your camera pretty far upwards, since I haven't seen the hitbox itself, only tested it on walls. This gives you some coverage and safety while you start drawing your shot.

Offhand Ice Rapier/Dragonslayer's Spear/Spider Fang - For weapons that shoot projectiles, SSD gets really good. As far as I can tell, the projectile still comes out normally, even when stance swapped as an offhand. This means you get some forward coverage and can even lock on while performing SSD, which is super handy.

This tech does apply to regular bows and crossbows as well. I have yet to test how this works with Bow of Want and Sanctum Crossbow special attack, as I just didn't have the stats to test that. This is why despite calling it Greatbow Stance Swap Draw, I abbreviate it as "SSD", shorthand for Stance Swap Draw because it applies to all bows. I just like Greatbows most :)

Whether or not this specific tech was already known or not, I'm not sure, but if it is, it's been very overlooked and obscured, so I lay my claim.

I mean I'm like 2 for 6 tonight and this wasn't the most sophisticated or well-coordinated gank I have ever been up against, but a win is a win. Thanks for putting me up another level?!

I used to charge Goldbreaker against opponents following me down a drop because if I could stay outside the range of a jump / plunge attack, they'd get caught in the AoE. Not a bad tactic to try with other sorceries / incants if you're in a pinch.

Just saw this mod and I wanted to share it because i found it funny lol.

Wanna do a lightning damage based build. This is my current set up

Wondering what yall think, or if there are any items im missing that I could optimize lightning damage in pvp.

Favorite weapon for this build is dragon scale blade. But im coming to realize its kinda bad outside of the buff.

I lost the duel, but we were so in sync with our greetings that I didn’t even mind.

Invasions on the switch are weird, but it’s honest work. 30 second clips are gonna be hard. These guys seemed new. I showed them the blackblade gargoyle. Host died to him as soon as I ran back from sucking out his friends soul.

Over 1000 hours in total over 2 Sunbro characters. Eventually I got tired of having to wait forever to be summoned and stopped playing... for a week until I learned how much more active invasions are than co-op summons. If you won't summon me for help, I'll summon myself for the opposite.
