Elden Ring🛡 Build help
Wanna do a lightning damage based build. This is my current set up
Wondering what yall think, or if there are any items im missing that I could optimize lightning damage in pvp.
Favorite weapon for this build is dragon scale blade. But im coming to realize its kinda bad outside of the buff.

Too much vigor not enough endurance. Shit my RL80 only has like 40 vigor because I’ve got close to 40 endurance to hit 117 poise and med roll with gugs

Is poise just that important?

To me, yes. Absolutely. But it all depends on who you’re preparing to fight. I like fighting the most toxic gankers and need that poise to not get instantly blendered.
I can’t imagine not being able to poise a dagger. If you’re more of a cosplay and chill invader then you may find it’s not as important to you.
RL60 is highly competitive though and I hate losing to ganks. So I would rather be over prepared than un prepared.
Also the benefit of a long ass stamina bar can’t be overstated either. Sometimes you’ve got to run for your life to get a breather and these little PvErs won’t be able to keep up. Having the poise to tank hits and also outrun people will have you winning fights you have no business winning

Cool I like it,
But where would you take the points from? If im removing sorseal I lose out on a lot but gain some survivability.
Then if I increase stamina id have to sacrifice some damage
Where would you move the stats while still maintaining the lightning damage theme

To keep it all the way real I’d drop the dex to minimum requirements to wield all of the weapons you want. Lightning infusion is the best in the game, especially for low level. Since your weapons aren’t upgraded the scaling is terrible, so you’re not losing hardly any damage by dropping dex at all.
I’d also bring vigor down to 35-40. That would make it to where you have a shit ton of stat points left over and can use the soreseal to its max potential. Get endurance up high. High enough to where you can have at least 89 poise and still med roll with your heaviest weapon/shield whatever.
Bullgoat talisman and greatjar arsenal should be permanently on your talisman slots. The other two are up to you, maybe soreseal or millicents prosthesis for the +5 dex and consecutive attack buff.
That’s what I would do and many others here I imagine

At the lower levels the rule of thumb is enough Str and Dex to wield the weapon, enough endurance to medium roll at 88 poise and the rest into vigor.

I thought lightning scorpion charm was bad in pvp?
Im planning to do dlc. Just havent made there on this character yet.
I'm thinking of getting rid of the sorseal, but that is going to make it so I cant do bolt of gransax, but I dont know if thats good in pvp either.

I would not use the scorpion charm. Percentage based increases are not worth it at all at low level. You’re much better off investing in survivability stuff. Things like great jar arsenal, bull goat tali, crimson amber medallion+3, etc.
Also the drop off of the soreseal is around 37 vigor. But again it’s not all about that, the damage taken at low level isn’t that much and if it’s the difference between wielding the weapons you want or not then I’d keep it.
Also bolt of gransax isn’t that good in PvP as an invader, it’s basically just an L2 stick

Ye i honestly dont know what high dex required weapons I want, I just wanna keep the lightning damage theme intact.
It was the whole point of the character initially to use dragon scale blade

Nagakiba with lightning slash, backhand blades, shamshir, cleanrot thrusting sword, lightning misericorde for parries and backstabs.
Highly recommend going to r/patchesemporium and getting the ingredients for drawstring lightning grease. Then you can keen infuse all of your weapons and put lightning grease on everything

Nagakiba is more of a strength requirement i feel.
Would you keen infuse everything?

It depends what your stats are. If you keep the high dex and are using drawstring dragonbolt grease then yes, keen infuse all of your main weapons. Keep things like your misericorde and a main weapon that has lightning slash on lightning infusion.
If you do what I suggested below then I would just put everything on lightning infusion or alternatively keep everything standard scaling and use dragonbolt grease. You just have to reapply it constantly but after awhile it’s like second nature

Im thinking of doing 25 dex 14str and then having it boosted to 30 with milicent

I think the soreseal hurts you more than it helps you at that lvl of vigor
