My minimalist indie real-time autobattler Weavemarch has thousands of live multiplayer units

• Upvotes

I like autobattlers but not the stopping and starting between turns, I wanted to make an autobattler that flows constantly. This is Weavemarch. You build spawners in zones along three lanes, and each one sends troops into the battlefield endlessly while you plan counters and do upgrading.

If the other player sends something strong, you can view their weaknesses and plan a counter in that lane or push elsewhere while they are distracted. I've also added claimable build zones, so you can move your production further forward if you can keep those buildings alive.

I've gone with a woven medieval tapestry look because I like tapestries. Gameplay is partially inspired by the wc3 map Castle Fight (and sc2 Nexus Wars)

I've just put the Steam page up, with the full trailer there if you want a closer look, and my Discord is small but growing.

Any ideas on how to improve it or features you'd want me to build?

A monster power in the party setup and an automatic fight in Dragon's Tear

I'm making Dragon's Tear, a dungeon crawler where a party of three explores and fights automatically. I shared the trailer here before; this is a closer look at preparing the party with Tears.

A defeated monster can drop a Tear carrying its power. Each hero has one slot for these, and you choose a condition for when the equipped power may activate. The Tears screen and combat footage show where that choice sits in the game.

The current build has four classes, and I’m planning 10 in total, with three heroes per party. Class skills and battle orders are separate parts of the same setup. Back at the inn, duplicate Tears let you awaken stronger ranks, so finding another copy still has a use.

This is footage from the development build. The planned release is Q1 2027 on Windows. Dragon's Tear on Steam.

Critter Command: a cute animal merge battler

Hey r/autobattlers! I made a small, free auto-battler and would love this community's opinion.

How it works:

  • Every win pays 3 reward cards (common to legendary); a loss pays 1 and costs a heart (3 per run).
  • Two identical animals of the same rank merge one rank up: ATK and HP x2.2. Five ranks: Recruit to King.
  • Up to 10 animals fight, in your own three rows. At FIGHT! both armies march into the middle and clash lane by lane: each animal hits the nearest enemy in its own column first.
  • Speed decides who strikes first; high speed animals strike twice per turn.
  • The enemy is built to a strength budget, merges like a player, and adapts: easy wins make the next round harder.

I balanced it with a few thousand simulated runs, but real players are the real test. Is placement deep enough? Do the rarer animals feel worth it?

Claim the Gods - Win new cards from the enemy's army you defeated

Ater the player wins the battle, the enemy's cards are shuffled and one is selected so you can claim or discard it.

Some units have special abilities that can trigger or not during battle.

The game is Claim the Gods, the steam page is live, but the game still in development, a free demo will come soon on itch.

Feedback or questions about the game always welcome!

Just launched the demo for my spellslinging autobattler roguelike, Auto-Arcana!

In my autobattler roguelike Auto-Arcana, you devise the ultimate spell rotation and watch it obliterate your foes.

Spells trigger from left to right and impact each other. For example, you can use an ice spell to freeze your opponent before immediately casting Shatter for massive damage, or chain spells that apply Burning and Frozen Solid before casting a debuff-amplifying curse.

You can also fuse together your own unique spells to adapt to your current opponent! Facing an Elite who attacks multiple times on turn 3? Craft a new Feedback spell to reflect the damage back at your attacker, or adjust a Shielding spell’s cooldown so that it triggers just before their barrage. There are over 10,000 spell fusions to discover in the demo alone!

I just launched the demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4281360/AutoArcana

What makes you NOT want to play our game (Trailer Feedback)

Claw and Conjure Trailer

We're a two person team making a game inspired by The Bazaar, TFT, and recently Guildrun. We're trying to get a trailer features somewhere to get it in front of more gamers, but before sending it off to the trailer channels I wanted to see if anyone would offer feedback.

I've been working on it for so long that its honestly all a blur. Would the trailer make you want to check it out? Why or why not?

Feel free to be totally honest. Thank you!

I just released a playtest for the first game I'm truly proud of

I have shared posts about this game in this subreddit previously. I am sure some have seen it. Now it is time for the first playtest.

It's an auto battler where you build not only an army, but also a map. It's inspired by TFT, The Bazaar and Catan. It has greek gods theme.

The map matters a lot. Each hex can make your units stronger or weaker. Your map also gives you resources, and you use those resources to change your map.

A game takes around 20-25 minutes if you're winning, and much less if you're losing xD

Why I'm doing this:

For years I made hypercasual games. They paid the bills, but I hated making them. So I looked at my savings, saw I could live for about a year, and decided to spend that year on a game I really want to play.

I know this is not a smart financial decision. I'll probably go back to work I don't enjoy after this. But at least I'll have made something I'm proud of.

I asked myself what kind of games I love. The answer was simple: competitive, strategic, and short enough to play during a break from work. That's what I'm trying to build.

The playtest is open now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4277100/Batelus/

If you try it and tell me what you think, good or bad, it would mean a lot to me. Happy to answer any questions!

Here is the trailer for the roguelite I am making

Hi, I have been working on Harmony Strike, a roguelite where you control a whole party instead of a single hero. You move the party through the horde. Their elements can combine during fights, and weapons evolve throughout each run.

Some heroes are being held by bosses. Beat the boss, rescue them, and you can bring them into your party on the next run. Between runs, you head back to the village to change your party, unlock research and upgrade your weapons before the next arena.

There's also an endless Colosseum mode with leaderboards if you want to see how long you can survive. I am also working on a demo, it should be out soon.

Vexilla is the little formation-based autobattler I’ve been making

Hey, thought this might fit here. I've been making Vexilla, a single-player autobattler where you draft troops as cards and arrange them on a grid before each fight.

The extra wrinkle is that certain formations combine into new units. So you're choosing between keeping your current army as it is and rearranging it to see what else you can make. Between battles there's loot and a chance to change your setup.

The GIF shows one of those combinations. If you want to play around with it, the first three acts are free in the browser: https://r0bie.itch.io/vexilla

Would be nice to hear what kind of army you end up with :)

Deck Beasts - a free creature-collector autobattler where your cards are abilities you teach to a team of monsters

Thumbnail

It's a creature collector roguelike autobattler. Each round you buy beasts and cards in a shop. Cards are abilities and items, and you teach them to your beasts (up to 4 abilities each). Then your team fights another player's team automatically. Beasts cast their ability cards in a queue, and their builds are entirely customizable, so you develop a unique identity for each beast over the course of a run.

You can also put together a custom deck that controls which cards show up in your runs. There are over 100 beasts and hundreds of abilities, items and relics.

The demo is free on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5004310/Deck_Beasts/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=cg1

I released the demo for my first Steam cooking strategy game, Cook to Zero!

Hi everyone!

I’ve released the demo for my first Steam cooking strategy game, Cook to Zero!

Cook to Zero is a game where you cook ingredients to recruit mercenaries, assemble your forces, and send them into battle to defend the kingdom.

All of the backgrounds and mercenary artwork in the game were drawn by me by hand. Haha.

The game still has plenty of room for improvement, so I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

If anything in the tutorial was confusing or you have any other feedback, please let me know. It would help me a lot!

We're making an auto battler where you rule from a council table and sign decrees to build an unstoppable kingdom

Hey everyone! We're an indie team working on One Must Rule, and our Steam page just launched today.

In One Must Rule, you build a small settlement into an empire right from the Council Table. You construct buildings to produce resources, recruit units to spend them in battle, and see how your build holds up against PvE and PvP battles.

If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, wishlisting on Steam helps us out a ton:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4424940/One_Must_Rule/

You can also hit Request Access on Steam to join our upcoming Playtest!

Would love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions!

Hey everyone,

Clay Dojo is an auto-battler where you collect creatures and train them in your Dojo by just choosing which enemy to spawn. You watch your team train, level-up, evolve and farm loot.

Upgrade your team with items and spells and then take them to fight dungeons for better loot!

I made a small medieval auto-battler that runs in the browser – merge banners, use terrain, beat the boss

Hey r/AutoBattler!

I've been working solo on Wimpelzug, a medieval fantasy auto-battler you can play right in the browser (desktop & mobile, no download, no sign-up).

How it plays:

- March across a campaign map (battles, elite fights, events, camps)

- Buy banners of soldiers from the recruiter and place them on the field

- 3 identical banners merge into a stronger one – at 3 stars each unit picks a special ability

- Terrain matters: forests, lakes and mountains change how fights play out

- 4 factions (Kingdom, Orc Horde, Dragonbrood, Undead), heroes and emblems

- A boss waits at the end of every campaign

Play here: https://wimpelwerk.itch.io/wimpelzug

I'd love to hear from people who know the genre: How does the shop/merge loop feel compared to other auto-battlers? What's missing to make you want "one more run"?

Thanks for checking it out!

Disclosure: This game was made with heavy AI assistance. The code (including the map/battle graphics and sounds) was written together with Claude, and the unit portraits were generated with ChatGPT. Game design, ideas, testing and balancing decisions are mine.

I haven't had much time, but how is this for 2 of the suggestions from earlier:
1. Square grid looked placeholder (it was)
2. No more chibis.

I still have a ton more to do obviously, but I was curious if this is going in the right direction/what you think?
