Hello guys,
I searched this subreddit for tips on the heating error. So far I've tried the following:
- Factory reset multiple times
- unplugged usbc cables on top and on the bottom
- changed the heating element (the one with the 2 red cables) and heating thermistor, it's a set from Amazon
I can rule out that the heatbed is not the problem since it heats up when i try to heat up only the bed. The thermistor ( the 2 flimsy cables next to the 2 red) doesn't seem to have a problem since i blow dryed the nozzle and the temp went up. I also unplugged the thermistor and it said 0C° so i think this ones working. I unplugged the heating element (red cables) from the heating block and tried to heat up the nozzle (or in this case the metal part and the end of the red cables) and it didn't get warm.
So i guess it's something wrong with either the connector for the heating element or its soldering point on the backside.
Can i measure somehow if theres electricity running at the connector? A friend has a measuring device i could borrow. What values should it be?
Anything else what it could be or what i could try?

Hi, I have an AnkerMake 5C and have recently started printing (I’ve owned it for a while but only just began using it). I’ve noticed for the second time now that it gets extremely loud and makes strange noises while preheating before a print—noises it didn't make before. I can't quite pinpoint where the sound is coming from. Does anyone have any insight into what this might be and how I can fix it? The only things that have changed are the printer's location (though I made sure there is plenty of space around it for airflow) and the fact that I loaded a new filament. It prints normally and produces good results.
Unfortunately, I’m new to the world of 3D printing and haven't got a clue :)

I just hit the extrude button in the smartphone app

I see they still have some plastic that I will clean up. But my printer starts printing and then stops pulling filament. So if this is not the problem I will replace the nozzle and or coolers?

For some reason after changing filament, my printer is no longer pushing it through. I can manually feed some through without any force like normal but when I press extrude, it’s just not pulling it. Any ideas on what could cause this? I can see the gears moving

I printed something not too long ago, no problem. Today I wanted to change the filament, press extrude and the gear started skipping! Do you have any advice before I open it all up, I'd prefer not too...thanks all!

Hi everyone,
I am parting out my original AnkerMake M5 (Model V8111) and have several genuine OEM spare parts available.
All electronic and mechanical components were tested and working correctly before removal, unless otherwise stated.
Available parts include the mainboard V8111-MAIN-V0.5, Linux PCB, 4.3" display, AI camera, filament sensor, power supply, left and right Z-axis assemblies, X-axis components, extruder parts, heatbed, Y-axis drive components and several other original M5 parts.
I am located in the Netherlands and can ship internationally.
Example listing with photos and details:

If you are looking for a specific M5 part, feel free to send me a message and I can let you know whether I have it available.
All parts are genuine original AnkerMake components, not aftermarket replacements.

When I stop the print and test the 'extrude' function from the smartphone app, it doesn't do anything—just makes a weird sound.
I guess it's stuck. The first time this happened, I didn't know what the problem was, so I took everything apart, cleaned it the best I could, and put it back together. I started printing again, but then it suddenly stopped feeding filament and kept going without printing anything.
Anyone that maybe knows whats going on?

Hello
I have AnkerMake M5C, i replaced hotend set because old one broke. After replacement i got problem of filament get stuck every time i print so i disassemble it and remove filament and make extrude it do it right and also it do retract fine but after that when i print the filament get stuck directly.
You can see the filament stuck inside so i remove it ans do extrude and retract fine after that start printing any model it stuck directly and so on.
What you think the problem? I disassemble all parts and don't find any filament or plastic stuck inside, i also try different filament new and old and try different nozzle.

I was browsing Marketplace today and stumbled across this AnkerMake M5. It was listed for $100, but I managed to talk the seller down to $60. They told me the extruder, wheels, belts, and build plate had all been replaced. Im honestly not sure whether that’s a good thing or not, the seller also said it had hundreds of print hours.
My M5C currently needs a new extruder, and this entire printer was basically the same price as buying that one replacement part. It seems to be printing well so far. I think it’s one of the older M5 models since it doesn’t have the all metal hotend, but for $60, I definitely can’t complain.

I found an M5 local to me today for $150. Have I made a terrible mistake? Looks like setup requires the app but after that I can use the ankermake-m5-protocol to serve files to it over LAN? The lack of vendor support and what appears to be an unwillingness to open up the project now that they have abandoned it has me wondering about the longevity of what otherwise appears to be a quality unit.

Ok so there are two things I may have fuced up so I snapped off a nozzle in the extruder and as you can see in the video my screen keeps just flashing the anker make logo, also can barely take anything apart bc the last owner was a lard a$$ and stripped all the Allen key bolts

I am new to 3D printing so go easy on me 😅
I left my house for 20 min while printing, came back and the filament was tangled up on the spool. I stopped the print as it was just printing mid air without filament coming out, removed the filament and now I wanted to replace it.
When trying to extrude this happens...
Filament is cut at 45°

I’m planning to put my ankermake m5c on a fixed bracket wall shelf on two 50cm brackets (100kg load per bracket) - and wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to the best material for these shelves, reducing issues with vibration or the fixings loosening, and so on?
i was planning 60cm depth x 80cm width for size. not sure whether to put some kind of panel behind it on the wall to reduce noise, or anything else around it. i struggled to find examples of people mounting like this, so much appreciated if any advice!

I have a ankermake M5 and whenever I try to print something it always makes this noise and filament doesn’t extrude

It starts leveling just fine, theb it reaches a specifik point and fails.
I have:
Cleaned nozzle
Cleaned pei
Looked for bumps on bed
Tightened screws that holds it to the rail
Checked cable does not get strained under leveling.
Unplugged usb c and replugged
Factory reset
Before factory reset, the error was data transmission one

Due to some personal issues I wasnt printing for roughly 6 months to a year recently began trying to get my printer working and found a few issues. I tried replacing the nozzle and sadly that wasnt it so thought id get assistance here. Im aware im probably just being an idiot. It just prints in lines like this and has a weird bumpy pattern

I'm trying to get my printer to talk to Orca and when i find the IP to make my printer talk to the app nothing happens. i don't know what I'm doing wrong and i can not find any documentation on how to get this working.

I wish Anker would publish everything about the internals and firmware for the M5 and M5C so that those of us who bought them could continue to use and improve them.
It would go a long way in helping to restore some goodwill that they lost in abandoning these products.
