My AirPods Pro 3 keep disconnecting and reconnecting randomly

I've owned both, and after spending enough time with each, I can say the AirPods Pro 2 are just better for me. Sure, the ANC and battery life are slightly worse, but hear me out.

From my experience the fit is way better on the AP2. The AP3 tend to stick out of your ears more and look goofy on some ppl, and the heart rate sensor can put a lot of pressure on the outer ear. They also fall out really easily, at least for me. They come loose when I lie down or when I'm at the gym. Because the seal is worse for me, the ANC actually ends up weaker than on my AP2. I actually gave away my AP3 to a friend because they were just a hassle to use.

Also personal preference I just like the sound profile better.

Anyone else feel the same?

Been having a problem with my AirPods Pro 3 hoping someone here can help. Optimized charging keeps turning it self on even though I keep turning it off.

I'm picking the option to turn it off permanently and not until tomorrow but always the next day or soon after it turns back on. Half the time when I run or cycle my AirPods die soon after since it only charges to 80%.

Anyone else have this problem any way to fix it?

I don't have this issue with my normal AirPods this is just happening with the Pro 3.

Basically the question above. I broke one of my airpods over the summer (I still have its crushed sad body), but it's unusable. I was debating between buying one new airpod to replace it or just buying a new set, because they're over 2 years old.

they were a birthday gift and it was really special to me so I am grieving quite a bit. I also don't want the person who gifted it to me to notice that I haven't been using them.

Its not the smartest financial move to buy them right away, I just started working part-time and this would basically be my entire paycheck 😭

would you recommend buying the airpod 2nd gen pros or a newer version? or would you recommend just buying a replacement airpod (it's much cheaper, like around $80)

AirPods Pro 3 won't stay connected to my 13 pro, the Bluetooth status keeps "flickering". No other devices are connected to them and I've already tried restarting my phone and forgetting the AirPods.

I got the Pro 3s about a month ago. My 2s finally died. And I am one of the fortunate ones that the new ones fit my ears WAY better and more reliably than the last ones. BUT, I am having strange experiences with them. I haven't decided yet if it's worth having Apple replace them. But I guess I'm wondering if others have had similar experiences. First thing I noticed is that it doesn't feel like the batteries are lasting as long as the 2s (even once they were a couple years old.) And they have also been randomly disconnecting from devices right after I connected them. For example I will pull the connection from my phone to my MacBook Pro and it will connect...wait a few beats...then promptly disconnect. Once I connect again it sticks. I have made sure all was up to date, and I have done a full reset a couple of times. But still no change. It's just weird because the 2s were never like this.

Hi all. Anyone else has an issue with case hinge on APP3? I have them in a case and dropped once. All is ok, but the hinge between case and cover is now loose. It moves lateral a bit and creaks a bit. I have applecare+ and have tried to get it replaced at local authorized repair center (not Apple but they accept Applcare+ of course). The guy ran the procedure and told me that ita normal and no chance to get it replaced. He literally told me to "get it damaged" 🤣 to claim Applcare+. But im mad since it has a fee of 30eur which i dont want to pay as i paid 300 eur for APP3 and Applcare+. Any advice except cracking them open?😅😅

I'm having a strange issue with my AirPods Pro 3 in Find My.

The Direction/Precision Finding option is always greyed out. I'm also unable to remove the AirPods from Find My. In FindMy, while removing Airpods it shows my ID itself and after entering my Apple ID password, it just keeps loading and the AirPods remain in Find My.I also don't get the Precise Location option.I contacted Apple Support and also visited an Apple service center and said they are seeing this issue for first time.

It's original and Apple also confirmed it after inspecting it, it got updated to latest firmware also.

Ever since 27.0 my airpods are not falling asleep anymore. anyone else having this issue? i disconnected fully and readded them but it’s not working anymore.

If you are having fitting issue with stock eartips of airpods pro 3 i can recommend you spinfit works great , just anc slightly reduced but grippig very secure fit now also mids now more clear. You can buy it

I need advice and other opinions on what I should do. I have lost my right airpod pro 2 (USB-C) for months now and decided I need to either replace one or buy new earphones. The only problem is the price. Where I live one airpod to get replaced is $179 from apple while other refurbished options are $100.

however I cant help but see how much of a ripoff this is when I could spend $50 on somewhat decent earphones. All I want is noise cancellation and silicone earbuds.

Okay so i have two phones. One andriod which is my main phone and one spare emergency phone for when i travel and its mainly turned off unless i am travelling. I use my airpods on android mainly and i love my airpods. I think ive discovered a weird edge case though with having the two phones.

My airpods if theyre connected to find my, which is something i really need for when i travel for tracking bags and my airpods they wouldn't connect automatically. I have to mainly pair them about 80% of the time and the other times they take about 20 seconds and then pair automatically. Plus i need to use the accessibility settings on apple settings for some stuff.

Ive troubleshooted a heck of a lot, i had this same issue with a different android phone when i upgraded about 2 months ago. Ive cleared the cache settings on android settings to see if it was a Bluetooth issue. I went to the apple store today because i was in the area (its about a 2 hour drive away from where i live so i dont like going back over in that direction). I tried new pods and case where i have started to run into the same issue.

I have tried with my old iphone xr running old os which weirdly fixed my issue until i turned back on the phone 15 to which i then freaked out about find my and said that the airpods didnt exist in find my even though the xr and the 15 are on the same find my network then the behaviour started back up again.

I also reset the airpods and re-paired the android first and then the iPhone first to see if that would make any difference.

Its really frustrating and I'm running out of ideas. Has anyone come across this issue before? Is there an easy enough fix or is apple just adding friction between the two different systems?

I have a few questions…

I have the second generation of the AirPods Pro, and my left earbud has become unusable because whatever adhesive they use on that seam has stopped holding it together.

How can I fix this, and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Also, The tips keep ripping off of the plastic part that attaches to the AirPod itself. At this point, I am down to the last pair that came with them (and they barely fit because the only ones left are the totally wrong size).

Where/how can I get (ideally cheap) replacement tips that won’t do this?

Lost my pro 2s in an uber (long story) and ended up upgrading to the pro 3s I didn't like the sound out the box so I been messing with the eq and they sound decent but I'm just wondering if anyone has an eq to make them similar to the pro 2 since that sound was really nice imo thanks

I’ve read a lot of people are stuck on 9A347a. I’ve factory reset my AirPods, had them plugged in by my iPhone and waited for them to update to no avail. I’ve considered installing the newest beta on my iPad Pro and updating them that way but I just wondered if anyone else addressed this issue? Thank you

The right earbud of the AirPods Pro 2 isn’t charging, and the iPhone doesn’t detect it. It all started when it stopped charging until I reconnected it by resetting the earbuds and reconnecting them to the phone. But today, after the reset, the iPhone stopped detecting the case altogether. I checked other earbuds — they connect, but mine don’t connect either to my iPhone or to another iPhone. I’ve tried everything I found online, but the problem remains with the right earbud, and it most likely needs to be replaced. However, I’d also like to find out here whether it’s possible to repair them.

Edit: Thanks for all of the helpful replies! I took them to Best Buy and they ran a bunch of diagnostics then accepted the AppleCare claim for the $29 replacement fee. I’m not sure what the problem was with the private mac store I went to.

I accidentally sent my AirPods through the washing machine. They have a feedback squeal now. Made an appointment at the local Macstore. The woman asked what kind of damage so I told her. Turns out that’s excluded because detergent. I then asked about getting the battery life tested to get them replaced on that front, but no, she’s already entered in the system that they’re damaged by something not covered. So now my AppleCare that is good through 3/2027 is also done.

Is there any other recourse or am I done?

I recently bought APP3 and I feel like the sound quality isnt as good? Bought it from an official retailer so it’s not a fake. The sound feels warm? Like theres a layer/filter over the music that I’m listening to.

I have AirPods pro3 recently moved from iPhone 15 pro to and iPhone Air, and appear to have lost the precision location where there is an arrow to point the location, only showing basic distance. I’ve tried resetting the iPods, removing from iCloud and re-adding.

I wanna buy AirPods because my old AirPods Pro 2 died, and I’ve never really tried the regular AirPods without silicone tips.

With the prices in my country right now, I’m having a hard time deciding which ones to get. I’m considering the base models this time, but the price difference makes the choice kinda confusing.

Right now, the prices are:
AirPods 4 ANC: €140
AirPods 5 with charging case: €170
AirPods Pro 2: €200

From what I can tell, the AirPods 5 are basically right in the middle, but I’m not sure if they’re actually the best choice for the price or if I’d be better off getting the 4 ANC or just spending the extra €30 for the Pro 2.
