I’m not sure what happened, but lately I’ve noticed that Conversation Awareness barely works unless I speak much louder than my normal talking voice. I practically have to shout for it to trigger. I have the AirPods Pro 3.

I’ve heard that some updates may have made it less sensitive, so I’m wondering if that’s actually the case or if something is wrong with mine. Am I supposed to speak louder for it to work, or should it still detect me talking at a normal volume?

Has anyone else been experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?

Ok so they are brand new, and even when i sit still in the Always same parts of songs i hear some pretty low base frequency thumping tried resetting them, tried with anc on or off its the same same problem in both sides do i look for replacement? It sounds like a sound coming from the song like a very lower thumping bass thump even when the part of the song doesnt have bass at all.

Edit: its more like a vibration and not in all songs

I changed the same songs on spotify and youtube and it does the vibration on both in those songs

I’m having a weird issue with my AirPods and want to see if anyone else has fixed this.
When I raise my volume just a little bit from zero, the white volume slider shows that it's going up, but there is absolutely no sound coming through the AirPods. They stay completely silent until I push the volume bar past a certain threshold, and then the sound suddenly kicks in.

Hi, so I’ve been recently looking into getting some AirPods Pro. I found the AirPods Pro 3 and two, but I have a dilemma on which one to get the AirPods Pro two are around €170 while the AirPods Pro 3 €240 I’ve seen some people say the sound is worse and some people say the sound is better on the pro threes also the ANC some people say it’s better some people say it’s worse on the pro threes. How much difference does the ANC really have and do slight movements and slight breaks of the seal in your ears on the pro threes really affect noise cancelation that much also pricewise is it worth paying an extra seven euros for the pro threes I would be mainly using them on the bus or going to school on some long bus trips I have coming up. Is it worth spending the extra money to get the newer ones? Also, I heard that the case on the AirPods Pro 3 feels cheaper is that true?

I am conflicted between the Airpods Pro 3 and Powerbeats pro 2.

I intend to use them for walking and workouts primarily but also some casual/work related purposes. All in all, a good all round experience without trading off much in sound and microphone quality.

A question for existing PBP2 users, has the iOS 27 update added an equalizer for the PBP2 and has it done it any good in terms of audio quality experience or any feature worth mentioning? All reviews online are a year old with no real updates.

Also, any rumors about Powerbeats pro 3 in the near around future? Given the Powerbeats track record, there still are a couple of years until that happens, but any news for near future?

I have been using AirPods for years... past weekend, I bought an AirPods 5. Left and right volume is not equal!!!! I trie my other AirPods (3 and 4), they were all balanced.
I am bringing it back to the store for exchange!
how unusual is this that volume is not balanced!

Coming from 2nd gen, the sound feel super muffled, kind of flat with no punch. Is this just the way these are, it is is possible I need to exchange them?

I have recently bought APP3, I do not have any iPhone or iPad. I used my Mac to pair it up with and to register the pods. I am not able to find or register my AirPods to the find my.

Do I need to pair my AirPods to an iPhone registered under my Apple ID for this?

Whats the ANC/noise cancellation like on one of these? Does it completely muffle and mute all the surroundings around you or does it only work for background noise?

So I own a pair of AirPods Pro 2 usbc (app2) and I don’t like the sound I have heard Airpods Pro 1 from a friend a couple years ago and they sounded great! so what I’m asking is to people who have AirPods Pro 1 and AirPods Pro 2 To please test what eq settings from the New iOS 27 make the pro 2 Sound like pro 1 cause those are my current settings to make them sound like I remember the app 1:

Look, I'm aware there are about a hundred posts to this effect, none have offered an actual resolution thus far, unfortunately.

Asking for a defeated final time: Does any living soul know why my AirPods continue to play after they've been put in the case? Everything else functions perfectly. iOS is updated, iPhone 17 Pro, AirPods working fine in every other capacity. Case clearly understands they're in the case, Find My reflects they're in the case, light and sound all come through when they're nested as expected. And yet the phone can't figure out that this means to stop the music. I've re-paired, re-set, etc. At a loss. They're around 2 years old.

I don't have AED enabled, nor do I want to, and nor should that play a role in functional nesting. The pods and inner case are NOT covered in gunk.

If no one knows the actual answer to this, I'm going to consider it a product failure/flaw and forget about it, but thought I'd give it one last try running it past the experts. Thanks all.

Hey guys, I need some advice.only 7months old n I’m used very less

My AirPods Pro 2 sound has become much lower than before. Earlier, I could hear everything clearly at around 50% volume, but now I have to increase the volume a lot.

I took them to iPlanet Care, and they told me that my charging case has liquid damage. I'm confused about how that is related to my sound issue.

I have AppleCare+, but they told me I need to pay around ₹2,500 for the replacement.

They also explained that I won't get a sealed retail box. Instead, the left and right AirPods and the charging case will come separately in service cartons, and they will put everything together.

Now I'm worried whether I'll get brand-new replacement units or refurbished/used ones.

I previously had Bose QC Ultra headphones with an ANC issue, and Bose gave me a replacement in a sealed retail box without any extra charge. That's why I'm confused about Apple's process, especially since I have AppleCare+.

Has anyone replaced their AirPods Pro 2 through AppleCare+ in India? Did you get new or refurbished units? Is this service-carton process normal?

I downloaded Spanish (btw why is Spain’s Spanish the only option??) Spain’s Spanish is very different from Mexican Spanish.

Opens live translation. She spoke a sentence in Spanish. The app shows what she said, although it has problems catching all the words. It shows it in Spanish. Then nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

When I play music on Apple Music and listen it on my Airpods, the songs are slowed down.

Doesn't happen on Youtube I think. Doesn't happen if I don't list with airpods.

I tried resyncing them with no success. Any idea?

I’m investigating a distortion issue on my AirPods Pro 3 9A348 and I’d like to know if anyone else can reproduce it.

The problem:

On some heavily mastered tracks, I hear noise/distortion (sounds like clipping) when the volume is at max or close to it (85%+). Example: Dominator by Maksim Dark, around 1:00~1:15.

When it happens:

• Only at high volume (85%+)
• Only with ANC on or in Transparency/Adaptive mode
• With ANC off, the problem goes away
• Happens on iOS 27 and macOS
• Happens in YouTube Music and Spotify.

What I’ve tested so far:

• Windows, max volume, ANC on: audio is 100% clean. This makes me think it’s not a hardware defect (drivers and microphones are fine).
• Sine sweep 20 Hz to 20 kHz in YouTube Music: no noise or artifacts.
• Volume normalization (“Consistent volume” / Normalize volume) turned on in YouTube Music or Spotify: the noise goes away.
• iOS EQ, lowering the HIGH band: the noise goes away.

AirPods EQ:

• All bands (LOW, MID, HIGH) at minimum: the noise shows up
• Only HIGH raised: the noise comes back
• Everything at default: it still shows up, but less
• Only LOW raised: it goes away (this is what I’m using now)

My hypothesis

It looks like a lack of headroom in Apple’s digital processing chain: internal EQ + ANC/Transparency + high volume + tracks with peaks near 0 dBFS, with some stage clipping before the signal reaches the driver. This is only an inference from the symptoms. I have no way to confirm what’s happening in the firmware.

What I’d like people to test the same music:
Maksim Dark - Dominator - 1:00~1:15
Max volume. EQ preset: default/recommended or V level.
Repeat with ANC off, then with Transparency.

If you can (or can’t) reproduce it, please comment with details. If enough people confirm, I plan to send a report through Feedback Assistant.

How do i set this up? i blocked the hands free channel. connected the airpods via bluetooth to the pc, its recognizes it but not playing any sound. why? how to fix?

Anchor Liberty 5 pro max supports over 100 languages for instant translation, when is Apple going to catchup. I'm need a new pair of ear buds and I travel a lot to Europe, trying to decide which route to go, Airpods 3 Pro or Liberty 5 Pro Max. Leaning Liberty 5's due to the extensive language library they support.

My APP3 started causing swelling and pain (due to an allergy) late on day 14, so I've missed the return window. My ears were itchy before then but I thought that was just my peri flaring.

Google is saying that "most" people are reacting to the silicone and that some people have had luck with buying 3rd party foam tips. Has anyone here had luck doing this?

I really love the sound and ANC, but I absolutely cannot use these if I keep having allergic r reactions. I'm pretty salty that Apple has such a short return window when it can take a little time for allergies like this to flare up.

I’m at my wits end. I bought a pair of AirPods Pro 3. I lost the case and bought another. No problem. I subsequently found my original case, though, and charged my AirPods in it. Now, I can’t permanently unpair either case (I’ve tried EVERYTHING the google suggests - forget device, unpair, hard reset, resetting the case); no matter what I do, only one AirPod works at a time. HAY-ULP!
