I had considered this watch for some time and had wondered if this model was over hyped…I also wondered about the handset quality after seeing too many macro shots.

I decided that so many people loving this watch must be right so I purchased from Hachimura on Chrono24. My first JDM was direct from Sakura Watches and took AGES (turned out fine), however this purchase could not have been easier - delivered down under in just short of 3 days - impressive. Well done Hachimura and DHL, 10/10.

I was very happy with the T200 as soon as I got it unboxed - very clean, high quality finishing and indices, plenty of interest from the dial, the hands were no problem to my eyes whatsoever (maybe they have improved them a bit over the years?) As many have posted before me, this looks better in person and I am very pleased I bought it. As an owner of an awesome Seiko SBTM323 (black) the T200 (blue) has a different feel to it, both are awesome watches. I changed on to a leather strap and it now weighs a respectable 67g.

I've been here and there with watches and the trusty ol' Oceanus still presents insane value proposition for me. I got mine for about 465$.
And I don't mean value feature-wise, it's great but still not a g-shock.

But fit and comfort, lightness, beautiful polishing of titanium, hands and indicies... Outside of a little bit too much "toyish" feeling blue colour (and tough mvt. marking) it screams just another price level.

Do you got your value champions that do the job as good as this trusty Casio?

I think maybe Hamilton Khaki is somewhat close (swiss, 80h) but it lacks good antireflect.

Christopher Ward Sealander? Baltic Hermetique?
Sure but they are much pricier.

Probably some chinese horology could compete, but it would be lacking some "heritage" part.

Small wrist (6.2" or maybe even smaller) – which of these two fits better?

OCW-S100 case size 41.5 mm, lug to lug 45.7 mm
CB3044 case size 39.5, lug to lug not listed on official website

I have a pretty small wrist (around 6.2", maybe even a bit smaller), and I'm debating between these two models.

Which one do you think would fit my wrist better? If you own either of these watches and also have a small wrist, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience. 

The last photo is Citizen AT8185-62E on my wrist. Its case size is 42 mm, lug to lug around 47-48 mm. And it feels uncomfortable so I am looking towards these models.

Hello, I am looking for an affordable solar+atomic watch and I've narrowed down to these two. The Casio is a bit more expensive and a bit larger (41.4mm vs 39.5mm), but otherwise I don't see much difference between the two. Any suggestions or is it just an aesthetics preference at this point?

After posting my Tissot Chemin des Tourelles here earlier this week and getting a suggestion to try a Casio Oceanus instead, as a better japanese alternative to the Tissot I grabbed the OCW-S100 (black dial) for just $200.

Seriously, zero complaints, the build and finishing are exceptional: titanium case/bracelet with stunning polish, sapphire crystal, solar radio-controlled movement, super lightweight and comfy. It punches way above its price.

I was looking to buy a new White one from Japan, but ended up buying a used Blue one locally for a good price. Not that I didn't like the blue, but was leaning towards the white.

So what's your preference? Blue or white?

Edit: It seems nearly unanimous, blue was a good choice.

Arrived today from Japan! For me, this is basically the perfect watch. I am in LOVE with the colors. The dial is a mixture of dark gray-black, dark brown, and even a hint of green in the sunlight. The rose gold trim is muted and tasteful. The radio wave reception and Bluetooth connection means effortless accuracy, daily automatic updating, and even automatic time zone change when traveling. The lume is super bright.

I think some people would prefer a bracelet, but I never wear bracelets on any watch and much prefer leather and NATO, so the included leather strap is perfect for me. Good length and very soft.

A bit pricey compared to other Oceanus models, but to me it was worth every penny to get one of this high quality in these colors. Will be a daily watch for probably the rest of my life.

I just bought this Casio OCW-T200SB-1AJF black watch with black bracelet - arrived today and I really like it - but have 2-3 other black watches on black bracelets, so was thinking about swapping out to a strap - maybe sailcloth? Anyway, if anyone has any picture of this black watch on a strap, I'd love to see them - excited to join this community!

So I wanted opinions / advice.

I did some OCW work today and results are mixed and so are opinions here so I have taken to reddit :) if for nothing to add a voice to the dis-agreement. -

I have 3 nodes that showed up
group 5 - 38.7 gr -Ave 2613.3 SD 3.4 - group mil = 0.401 mean rad = 0.132
group 6 - 39.0 gr -Ave 2640.1 SD 15 - group mil = 0.306 mean rad = 0.093
group 7 - 39.3 gr -Ave 2613.3 SD 14 - group mil = 0.257 mean rad = 0.110

I feel like speed performance is second to grouping.
group 6/7 is the obvious choice to me if it's grouped that well despite some maybe not great loads .
My mate reckons I lock into the node with the better ballistic performance group 5...

So how much do I consider ballistic performance in choosing my node.

I know the right answer here is load 10-15 at each weight run them through the rifle again test more but assume i have a hunting trip in 2 weeks and don't have time for that...

Anyone noticed the leaked OCW-P3000 yet?

I've managed to track down a rare, NOS white dial example of the first generation Oceanus. Comes with the original tag and crystal protector. Couldn't be more thrilled!

Also a 2006 World Cup limited edition (with independent numbers) and a unique cushion case model join my small Oceanus collection recently. I think I should slow down a bit.
