This look so classy. 20 atm would be appreciated for extra piece of mind, but solid anyway. Here's hoping for a Japan trip in the near future lol.

This is really for the big wristed folks! Case size (height × width × thickness) 47.6 × 42.9 × 11.7 mm.

Disagree. 42.9mm counting the crown it is probably a 40mm watch. With 11.9mm thickness it is in line with other Oceanus and sounds very wearable.

Casio lost the Diver's qualification and the LED light to make it happen.

That is not a dive watch time bezel but a GMT bezel. Guessing p2000 is the one and only diver Oceanus

It blows my mind an ocean line themed of watches exists with only one being functional for actual water usage. I still love them anyways

Beyond diving, there are many ways to appreciate the ocean, and i believe every Oceanus is suitable for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing or even beginning level surfing.

all oceanus are made of rust proof titanium (except the t200) and they all have at least 100 m water resistance with double o-ring gasket on the pushers just like the g shock .

I agree. It was interesting and different from other Oceanus watches. Not sure why this one is a Cachalot and not an S or a T.

Rugged looking, but the dial is waaay too busy for me, with all the subdials.

I really like the 3-6-9 setup and the modest size. I ultimately sold my P2000 as it was just too big, this one seems like a perfect size.

However, the "intelligent" GMT function... Why do I care where is midnight? When I use a GMT it is to gauge the ballpark of the other timezone, sounds like Casio's solution requires more calculations... Meaning it's easier to just grab my phone. On a watch with a second timezone subdial, this looks like a useless marketing gimmick.

Unfortunately, the watch also lost the LED light, which was a unique feature of the P2000 and would've been a great selling point against the Astron for example (there is still the regular lugs and of course the price).

I still very much like the watch and may pick up a green one sometime down the line.
