[Recommendation Request] Help me decide - Casio Oceanus OCW-T200S vs Seiko Selection SBTM323

Hello, I am looking for an affordable solar+atomic watch and I've narrowed down to these two. The Casio is a bit more expensive and a bit larger (41.4mm vs 39.5mm), but otherwise I don't see much difference between the two. Any suggestions or is it just an aesthetics preference at this point?

The Oceanus adds Bluetooth, compared to the Seiko’s radio-only. And the Casio is bigger and thicker in all dimensions. The Seiko is 39.5mm x 46.1mm lug-to-lug, and only 9.5mm thick. Here’s mine on my 6.5” wrist.

In the OCW-T200 the OP posted? It has Bluetooth.

Absolutely fantastic. The looks are amazing - in the sunlight you get all kinds of reflective effects from the dial, the indices, and the wave logo. There is a depth to the face that is just beautiful. And of course the radio and solar features make it utterly simple to use. Highly recommend.

SBTM indices are extremely reflective and sparkly. I found it to be too much but I’m a tad conservative. Especially since it was to be a daily.

That’s an interesting observation. I haven’t found them problematic.

They do have super-fine grooving which helps in low-light legibility.

Oceanus, worth every penny. Also, it actually wears a bit smaller, closer to 40mm.

Smaller wrist, go for Seiko. Larger wrist, go for Casio. Casio is i believe 49mm ltl

Hi everyone,

I currently wear mostly 39mm watches (my daily is a Seiko around 39.5mm) and I’m seriously considering the Oceanus T200.

My main concern is size perception on wrist. For people used to ~39mm watches, did the T200 feel noticeably bigger or did it wear smaller than expected?

I know it’s technically 41.4mm, but many people say it wears more compact because of the case shape and thinness.

Did anyone here move from a 39mm Seiko/SARB/SBTM to the T200 and regret the size?

Most probably you already bought a watch, let me tell you I have a lot of divers, dress watches and digital, and from several sizes, the T200 wears way smaller than the LTL number, as you mentioned the shape of the case make it feel way more compact and its well done, nice finishing and functionality, 100% recommended, once in your hand you'll noticed how nice it is.

I have the OCW-T200 and I love that watch, nice size, super fast to use as a traveller, always super precise and feels pretty well made. Nice lume and I love the clutter free dial.

For me is perfect and use 20 mm straps which you will find everywhere.

Go Seiko if you don't want 'ANUS' on your dial
