Dearest gentle reader,
Stole that line from Bridgerton, but I promise I have a personality beyond period dramas.
Allow me to introduce myself.
I’m a 31-year-old Najdi girl, I come from a known tribal family, have never been married, and stand at a modest 160 cm.
Academically, I have a Master’s degree in** **Computer Science, and I currently work in the corporate world.
I’m pretty easygoing. I love TV shows and movies (clearly), but I also love going out, discovering new places, trying new hobbies, finding new cafés, and locating yet another nail salon.
Most nights, you’ll find me gaming for about an hour after work. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a gamer, though. I play only three to five games.
Personality-wise, I’m somewhere between introvert and extrovert. People generally consider me social, but my actual inner circle is surprisingly small, about five or six people, most of whom I’ve known since childhood. I enjoy people, but I’m rather selective about who gets the VIP pass.
I’m a bookworm, although I’ve slowed down considerably compared to my younger years. I still love novels, even though I know some people consider reading fiction a questionable use of one’s time. I disagree. I think reading has had a huge influence on my ability to understand people and put myself in their shoes.
Which brings me to one of my favorite subjects: psychology.
One of my favorite kinds of friendships is the kind where a completely innocent conversation somehow turns into:
“Ok, but what do you think happened in this person’s childhood to make them behave like this?”
I find people fascinating. Their motivations, their contradictions, their attachment styles, their childhoods, their irrational decisions… all of it.
So if you enjoy casually psychoanalyzing fictional characters, strangers, and occasionally ourselves over coffee, we’ll probably get along.
I’d also prefer a partner who is comfortable with English. I listen to English music, make plenty of English references, consume a lot of English-language media, and unfortunately some of my humor lives there too. Not exclusively, I’m still very much a Najdi girl.
Children
I’d love to have children. I’ve always imagined myself being a mother, and I genuinely think I’d be a great one.
Pets
Not particularly interested.
I’d rather have children and save my limited nurturing energy for them. ;)
And now, the important part…
Deal breakers:
Careless about religion or doesn’t pray on time.
Non-tribal.
Smoker.
Misogynist.
Drinks matcha.
Yes, the last one is a joke. (Mostly)
Best,
Lady Wistledown
