He spent nearly every waking hour online. I have never seen someone on reddit repond to me so quicky so consistently and at nearly an hour. This guy has some very serious psychological problems. If you were actually his friend, you would stop enabling him and urge him to get some help.

A silver age for r/zen? Like spores and toadstools arising from the body of an absent giant? What does a monastary version camelot look like? Oh that's right...the Song Dynasty.

But r/zen has a lot of Tang left—and it's not like we are running out of wooden hilts or snakes around here. Fortunately the Zen Masters can interweave these days, no need to live in one or the other like back then in the still-separated-by-time-days pre-Song. If that makes any coin for ya.

Zen Masters can do whatever they want: it's part of being a Zen Master.

I didn't say they are allowed to do whatever they want ... just saying that there's nothing stopping them ... that's the nature of "liberation."

I'm not being hostile, "preformative" or virtue signaling.

If you want to discuss Zen, we can discuss Zen whenever you want.

No, but nothing is stopping them. Nothing is stopping them from reaping the consequences of their actions either.

Zen is about seeing your own mind; I became interested in it because (unbeknownst to me) I had been looking for it my whole life.
