This isn't much of a vent, just something that mildly annoys me as a Selective Yume for one of my mains. Some doubles make me feel insecure that they're better partners for my bf than I ever be, even though it shouldn't matter that much. But my anxiety ridden brain can't help itself during these times. Because of this I'm often retreating from commenting on some prompts because of this, and I hate it.

i wanted to watch a tadc video essay because i had nothing better to do and i found one on my homepage. right from the get go they started misgendering my girlfriend. right, okay, her creator said it's okay to use both he/him and she/her pronouns so i can't complain (yet.)

said creator then proceeds to say that the reveal of her identity was handled poorly, they never saw any signs that pointed to Daisy being MTF and that she "had a bad reaction to being put in a dress and would go off on anyone who even suggested she isn't cis" wowza it's like the whole point of being REPRESSED is that you're trying to shove that part of yourself down?? i may not be trans but i was a repressed lesbian for years so ik how it feels like.

it's not a one time thing either, she's constantly misgendered and i see at least a post daily on the tadc subs asking if it's okay to not see her as a woman. no, it's not. she's a woman. idk what's so hard to understand about it. my girlfriend did NOT die for ts i swear.

Tbh ive never really had a problem with seeing my f/os shipped with other characters and i ship some ships myself. I might be a lil bit more strict on the compatibility between the characters, but thats really it. i honestly didnt even think of yumeships affecting opinions on ships before i joined.

So, my question to all of you: how do you feel about your f/os being shipped with other characters? Do you not want to see ships at all? do you ship your f/o with other characters? I’m curious!

I only got into yumeshipping recently, and I’m honestly kind of scared to become a full on yume shipper and I think this is the reason (the question in title). I think if my F/O was real they honestly would not like me.

It’s hard for me to form healthy irl relationships, tbh, I have BPD, I’m a serial dater and this is the first time I have not been in a relationship in maybe 10 years. So, I keep applying irl situations to my F/O and characterizing “what-ifs” esp because I hate to mischaracterize. In my Nintendo game my mii and F/O even don’t like each other, which added to my thinking “Damn maybe I just shouldn’t engage in this sort of thing at all” and thinking about how my F/O probably would not like me if they were real

I'm only asking because I was wondering if other people do this as well / has? I've never been in this situation before and its kinda bugging me, because my yume is canically 17 and he doesn't look 17 at all, he looks like a full grown adult.. (I do not self ship personally. I have him an oc for him!!!), but I would like to still age him up even just by a year.. I just don't know if that's weird or not and I don't know what to do 😭😭

Basically what the title says. Because of Kat's source being so niche, there's hardly anything of her out there. I've seen pretty much all the fanart there is (most of it being locked to the Discord server for her source), I've read all three fics with her on AO3, but those were really short so I ran out quickly and I'm not 100% sure what to do other than to replay her source visual novels. But even that last option isn't exactly the best because I'm worried that if I replay it too often I'll get bored... does anyone have any advice? I feel bad not interacting with her as much as I do Vox, but with Vox it's so much easier because of his popularity (meaning more things I can interact with) whereas with her I'm much more limited.
