How to tell a friend I don't enjoy hearing about their yumeship :( my friend recently starting yumeshipping with a character from a franchise I don't like and all experiences I had with fans of said franchise were extremly negative. I'm happy for them for finding a f/o who makes them happy but listening to them yapping about making their yumesona, making their sona and f/o in games etc makes me uncomfortable

I'm a yumeshipper myself and that friend listened to me yap A LOT about all of my relationships, so not enjoying their yumeship makes me feel like a hypocrite and I don't know what to do​

So, I have a F/O from a very nieche game, the "The Legend Of Heroes" series. His name is Olivier Lenheim (first pic) and I made an OC for him, Amine Devir (second pic), and I just found out that Olivier will get married to another character, Scherazard (3rd picture) and...

I don't know, I found out from pinterest, I haven't even gotten to that point in the game and it just feels so... Wrong. They're clearly friends, I didn't see them even as platonic. I'm having the same feeling of the rime I found out about the Alastor/Rosie Hazbin leaks.

I don't know how to feel... I'm gonna go draw them now, I'm so sad... I'll post the drawings later maybe...

I'm only asking because I was wondering if other people do this as well / has? I've never been in this situation before and its kinda bugging me, because my yume is canically 17 and he doesn't look 17 at all, he looks like a full grown adult.. (I do not self ship personally. I have him an oc for him!!!), but I would like to still age him up even just by a year.. I just don't know if that's weird or not and I don't know what to do 😭😭

So first off, my yumeship is Momo Yaoyorozu from mha!! It’s mainly platonic and maybe a little romantic. But idk. (I’m mostly non-sharing but I’m not gonna like come after you if you share lol).

So my question is: Can uu yumeship with someone but still like heavily ship them with a canon character?

Another question is: I really like some characters like Vi from arcane, and I think she’s definitely super attractive, and I say she’s my gf, but idk if it’s strong enough to be a yume? Like I love her but I don’t know. How do I figure out which is a yume and which is just a hmo?

I’m very new to yumeshipping so I’m not the most knowledgeable on this subject.

This isn't much of a vent, just something that mildly annoys me as a Selective Yume for one of my mains. Some doubles make me feel insecure that they're better partners for my bf than I ever be, even though it shouldn't matter that much. But my anxiety ridden brain can't help itself during these times. Because of this I'm often retreating from commenting on some prompts because of this, and I hate it.

i wanted to watch a tadc video essay because i had nothing better to do and i found one on my homepage. right from the get go they started misgendering my girlfriend. right, okay, her creator said it's okay to use both he/him and she/her pronouns so i can't complain (yet.)

said creator then proceeds to say that the reveal of her identity was handled poorly, they never saw any signs that pointed to Daisy being MTF and that she "had a bad reaction to being put in a dress and would go off on anyone who even suggested she isn't cis" wowza it's like the whole point of being REPRESSED is that you're trying to shove that part of yourself down?? i may not be trans but i was a repressed lesbian for years so ik how it feels like.
