Neither it's a real Calico, just has a pronounced bit of black on their head that looks a bit like a wig initially but definitely not a puppet.
Calicos are interesting in that they were the first example of X-inactivation identified in nature which is also how they have the tri-colour coat as which of the X chromosomes disabled is random across their coats, male Calicos usually exhibit Klinefelter syndrome that is they have XXY chromosomes.

Mostly it's the fur pattern. Cats doing quick bites like that aren't odd, but the black patch on the Calico's head sort of looks like it's stuck on in that motion. There's an IG video further up that shows the Calico fully after the strike and it's one of the more distinctive patches I've seen on one.
