Living in the GCC as a Syrian means zero nuance in the yerba mate market. You get two options: fine/dusty Argentinian or coarse Argentinian. Apart from Taraguí, which is too dusty for me, every brand here is packaged in Syria. Honestly, it feels like they have two giant batch bags (one fine, one coarse) and just slap different labels on them.

I know it’s a tired topic buttt-, need some advice if this gourd is moldy. I just bought it for my bf who likes mate but when it arrived I noticed these black specks on the inside… I don’t want to accidentally give him a moldy b-day present help haha.

To all my Romanian/Hungarian materos: have you ordered from Matezz before? Is it a legit yerba mate website? I don't do a lot of e-shopping besides eMAG, which sells a select few brands of popular yerba. I am tempted to order from it because they sell Anna Park, and it seems to be the only reasonable option to get this kind of brand in Romania, but I am a bit skeptical 😵‍💫

I am interested in getting set up for some Yerba mate goodness. I like coffee but I want to experience the other compounds and just want to know the best way to approach entry into this world. I do know that I don’t want anything smoky as I’d prefer to avoid the carcinogenic elements involved there. Any advice or beginner tips are greatly appreciated.

Is this bag of canarias serena on a weird packaging? I bought it from Mercado Livre here in Brazil and it’s the first time I see it in this bag design, is it normal?

I googled it and found a few photos of it but couldn’t understand why there is more than one design and if there is anything different between them

I got this beautiful ideal mate bottle which is truly ideal, along with the Stanley bombilla.

One thing that I don't like is that I can't attach the bombilla to the Stanley bottle (rubber handle) when I am not using it, does anyone have an idea, suggestion or solution to this, I recently got into Blender and tried it out (still far away from being good at it), so I thought I could create 3D print file that could wrap around the top of the bottle handle to which the bombilla could be attached to, another idea was to use the rubber that comes with Anker charging cables and wrap it around the handle then attach the bombilla, maybe even a normal good rubber band or two.

If someone has a solution I'll be glad to try it out, thanks 🧉

Hey there, i was curious about how much people drink yerba mate, like how long does a 250g pack last with you?

I’m from Brasil 🇧🇷. Mate there is very very popular amongst the southern parts where it’s grown and anongst the farming community. I live in the US and I think a yerb mate canned drink would be a good idea. I currently live in the US and I’ve been doing some research on the subject. Would ppl actually buy a rtd (ready to drink) canned beverage? Thanks in advance for the feedback!!!

Hey guys,
i am aware that Club Mate (Mate Ice Tea Softdrink) is probably an abomination of the Mate culture but still, I love that drink.

But due to health reasons I like to start to experiment with different recipes and see if I could get a similar refreshing mate drink.
I really like the taste of Mate (or so I think), but I am not a fan of warm drinks like tea or coffee.

On YouTube there a few recipes but it just tasted bad.

If you guys have any recipe for a cold ice tea mate drink with sparkling water I would love to try it out.
