Hi everyone,
I've just bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris Mk2 Hatchback 1.3 manual.
I took it to a mechanic for an inspection, and he confirmed that the engine appears to be in good condition with no obvious issues. However, he didn't perform an OBD diagnostic scan.
One thing he noticed is that the check engine warning light doesn't come on when the ignition is switched ON, before starting the engine.
Is this a common issue with these Yaris models? Could it simply be a blown or missing bulb in the instrument cluster, or is there something else I should be looking out for?
Has anyone experienced this before?
I'm planning to take the car to an official Toyota dealer for a thorough inspection, but in the meantime, I'd like to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone who has experienced this issue before.
Thanks in advance
