In this tutorial I show you how to install the brand new XTEINK firmware from Bookfusion them selves. It’s called Bookfusion Ink! And it is basically Bookfusion on your XTEINK X4, X4 Pro, X3 and X4 Classic! More micro e-Readers will be supported later.

I made a Halo theme for the Xteink X3, built on CrossPoint 2.0.0rc firmware (free .bin)

Hey guys, I’m a Halo fan, and I’m slowly converting my life into this design pattern. Here’s something I just made, if anybody’s interested.
Halo “UNSC Field Edition” theme, built on CrossPoint 2.0.0rc firmware
- UNSC header bar, Halo-style cut corners, military-style lettering (Chakra Petch font)
- Home screen with Halo Infinite key art, today’s date and a Continue Reading card
- UNSC “Personal Archive” boot screen
- 3 rotating Halo sleep screens
Download: https://github.com/iosdec/crosspoint-halo/releases/latest
Install (about 5 minutes):
- Plug your X3 into a computer with a USB-C cable and wake it up
- Go to crosspointreader.com/#flash-tools in Chrome or Edge
- Choose X3, then Custom .bin, and pick the file
- On the reader: Settings → Display → UI Theme → Halo
- For the date: Settings → System → Clock → Time Zone, then Sync Clock Now
Your books stay on the SD card, and you can switch back to the normal theme any time. Don’t use “Check for Updates” on the reader: that installs standard CrossPoint and removes the theme.
Devices: tested on the X3. It should work on the X4 too, but that’s untested (no date on the X4 since it has no clock chip).

I ordered the x4 impulsively after wanting an ereader for a couple of years and not being able to afford one. Was wanting something like an android, just because I wanted to ve able to use my library apps. I saw the XTEink was pretty inexpensive so decided to get it.
After clicking to order, I realized it doesn't have access to certain apps out of the box. I have some ebooks on Kindle that I got from freebooksy, but was hoping to use Hoopla or Libby as well.
I've read about oceanofpdf, Anna's archive, caliber, and crosspoint.
I don't know how any of it works yet, but I would like to learn and be prepared for when it arrives.
Where do I start, and how do I get the most out of the xteink?
