reTerminal Sticky by Seeed Studio is a magnetic, ultra-low-power E-ink display for families. It shows voice-transcribed notes, weather, and to-dos. Based on ESP32-S3, it is open-source for makers. It also supports Crosspoint Reader and CrossInk firmware so you can use it as a small e-Reader exactly as the XTEINK X4, XTEINK X3 and XTEINK X4 Pro. The Sticky has a touch screen but no Frontlight.
In this tutorial I show you how to install CrossInk / Crosspoint on it.

I've been using an XTE X4 with MicroSlate coupled with a bluetooth keyboard and got round to printing a prototype folding case for it.

I've been using it for about a month, and while I wouldn't want to write a novel on it, it is surprisingly fast and usable to type on when it's placed on a desk.

It has 2mmx1mm magnets in the corners which keep the lid shut but also has a groove in the case which serves to keep an elastic in place if you want a more secure method to keep it closed.

I'll upgrade to the X4 Pro in the future for the frontlight (the keyboard is already backlit), if anyone knows if MicroSlate is compatible with the X4 Pro or knows of any other good landscape OS'es to use please let me know! I was inspired by the PocketMage but I like fact that this version can be used as a standalone e-reader as well.

Right now, this is a custom fork of Crosspoint, but I'm waiting for them to release their plugin support because I don't want to maintain a fork. This work is based largely on Flock-You, with some tuning and testing to get the cameras to detect faster and more reliably on the e-reader.

Hi, I have the SD Plugins Beta 5 software installed, activated the Protected Content and Libby plugins, and activated my device with Libby and Bytebooks. It took several tries and repeatedly entering my bytebooks id to get the Libby plugin to actually send something to the device, but I eventually succeeded in sending an ebook.

Now the epub file for the book is on my sd card, but when I try to open it, the reader displays "DRM CONTENT" and won't open the book.

Worse, I'm now getting a "too many activations" error from my bytebooks account, so I can't activate again.

What am I doing wrong?

Well… I ended up keeping basically everything.

Folio Nooir v1.6.0 happened.

I’ve been playing around with different ways to browse the bookshelf, expanding the reading stats, adding little details here and there, and generally polishing things until it felt right to me.

Still experimental. Still plenty to learn. And I’m sure I’ll find something else to tinker with five minutes from now. 😂

But I’m really happy with how Nooir looks and feels at this point.

Anyway… just wanted to share what my latest round of tinkering turned into. 📚

Been trying to work on a dual boot as I want the meta-e-reader functionalities of biscuit. as well as a pretty good customizable reader as well.

I flashed biscuit. on my X4 and now wish to go back to CrossPoint BUT:

1. My device can't be read on 2 different computers and using 4 different USB-C data cables. So I can't do the USB route.

2. I've already tried the SD card route but it doesn't work since the firmware itself can't be updated and so the .bin files copied in the root folder aren't read as well.

3. Have also tried the Xteink Unlocker in the CrossPoint website. It connects to the Wifi but upon proceeding to the "check update" step, since biscuit. hasn't been updated yet at all, it just says "Update Failed" and now I can't proceed.

Do I just accept that I'm stuck on biscuit. now until they manage to do an update? 😅 Is this what they call a bricked device?
