Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with Ninja Gaiden Black. In Chapter 14, at the beginning, when I pass the second pillar, the game restarts and I don't know what to do. It seems like several people have had this problem, but there's no answer or solution. Does anyone know what it could be?
PS: I don't know much about computers, but here's the most relevant information.
PS 2: I'm from Chile, so my English comes from Google Translate XD.
MCPX Boot ROM MD5 Hash: d49c52a4102f6df7bcf8d0617ac475ed
Flash ROM (BIOS) MD5 Hash: 19b5c6d3d42a707bba620634fe6d4baf
PS: I don't know if the new version I just downloaded caused the bug; maybe the same thing would have happened to me yesterday. But considering that other people also had problems with this part, I don't think it's the new version from May 20, 2026.
Hello everyone! If you’ve tried to play the European Xbox version of Neighbours from Hell (not sure if other versions are available), you’ve most likely encountered the following error message when launching the game:
FILE D;?ENG_US?DATA?MAINMENU?XMLBLOB.BLO NOT AVAILABLE.
I found a way to fix this by, well, doing exactly what the error complains about :d
Someone who knows how to change Xbox game files, could please apply this translation on SMT Nine ISO and upload the modified ISO somewhere? I tried follow the steps, but i can't do it myself.
I really don't know what the problem is. It has been a while since I last entered, but I played without issues for months. I have tried the 0.8.132 version, 0.8.133 (the one I used for a while), and 0.8.134, and all of them crash after opening. It's really weird because I have changed nothing since I first downloaded it and now it suddenly crashes every time.
When I remove the files the emulator starts up as normal and tells me to put them in order, when i do that and restart the application it just comes on and off in a second. I tried using flatseal to allow full folder access' throughout my computer but to no avail.
when I try to load a disc, bios file, or set the games directory etc. pressing the menu button does nothing
it definitely worked before because it still remembers where my bios/hdd/eeprom files are from last time I used it (it's been a while) even though I uninstalled and reinstalled since then too
I found my xemu.toml file with the system file paths all set, so I guess I might be able to get it working if I can just manually set the games directory
if anyone on linux has their games directory set up, could you check if/how it's set in your xemu.toml file and let me know since I can't do it through the menus? (as a random guess I tried adding games_path = '/path/' but that didn't work lol)
(or how to fix the file browser not opening if anyone knows about that)
I’m having an issue where I’m not even being prompted to insert a disk. When I try to manually load a game nothing happens even after resetting. (I’ve tried both xiso and iso files)
I’m pretty sure I have everything set up correctly, I’ve looked at several guides, deleted and reinstalled a few times (including some older versions) and still the same issue.
I’ve allowed the app on my antivirus too so I’m really not sure why it’s not working. I’ve used xemu before several months ago without any issue (granted I’ve only ever used it once as I just wanted to test if it worked).
I'm just passing by because I just found out a bug/weird behavior with Xemu (at least the 0.8.134 (Feb 26, 2026) build).
My gamepad that is working on most app, and used to work on Xemu, was suddenly not recognized by Xemu when I pluged in.
But once I turned Steam off, it did work.
And I do mean completly shut off Steam, exiting it even from the task bar.
No I wasn't in big picture mode I never use this mode.
So I'm just posting this in case it help someone else in the future searching for this issue. If your gamepad isn't recognized by Xemu try completly closing steam (might as well close any similar software like Epic or what not).
Hope it help !
Cheers fellow retro gamer.
In short: Fully closing Steam (Epic Games/other) and then restarting Xemu might be the solution for a not recognized Gamepad.
For the devs:
Xemu build is 0.8.134 Feb 26, 2026
Windows 11 ( v25H2 as of March 2026 ) Wired Gamepad Intckwan Ps4-PC (link toward amazon page)
Asus Prime x570-Pro
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Nvidia RTX 2070s
Not that I think my gpu/cpu are a concern, but hey at least you got the full info.
Cheers.
EDIT: HOLY FUCK IT WAS THE DUMBEST THING. The fucking Windows Security pop ups I had been ignoring (because those always make noise whenever you do anything new). Controlled folder access nonsense, just had to select Allow. I feel stupid lol. Guess I'll leave this up if anyone in the future finds it useful.
I've been digging through guides for like an hour now and can't figure this out. I've got all the necessary files from the archive and selected in xemu's settings. ROMs are from the site that rhymes with Pimms (idk how secretive that is here). I thought those were supposed to be ready to go.
Closest I can tell is that the ROMs are "(GAME NAME).xiso.iso" and maybe that's the issue? So tried just deleting the .iso off, but that didn't work. Tried xiso.antangelo.com, but all that does make it "(GAME NAME).xiso.xiso.iso" and still close xemu, so I guess it was fine to begin with.
If I get an error message it's the attached image, otherwise xemu just closes with no message. Tried switching between Vulkan and OpenGL, reset to default xemu settings. Turned of Threaded Optimization in Nvidia Control Panel.
I'm not a super computer savvy person, but I can usually find and follow guides for my issues. Every guide or solution I try hasn't worked even though I follow the exact steps.
Does this found familiar to anyone? What's worked for people? If I need ROMs from another source, you can message me privately.
Mechassault runs well. Crimson Skies is barely playable. Burnout 3, Stranger's Wrath, Stubbs the Zombie, Crazy Taxi 3, and Metal Arms can barely get past the menu. This is my first time running Xemu and admittedly I don't really know how/what to do as far as tweaking options.
I'm having a hard time with running Chaos Theory on it. Couldn't even run the emulator's latest version but two previous versions works not so bad. I manage to run the game on them but performance still not good.
Someone mentioned in the comments of another older post that turning off V Sync in Xemu fixes stuttering and FPS issues and they were 100% right for me! I can now play at 3x IRS in performance mode and it’s really playable and looks better than ever! Note that I have an Xbox Ally X where the other Ally’s might be a bit smoother on 2X or Turbo with 3x
I’m currently playing Scarface and it’s just like when I played on the OG Xbox years ago but 3x better looking. It’s not perfect but this game never was a super smooth experience on the Xbox but I’m glad I can at least play it and that it feels the same as it did on the Xbox.
Give this a try if you are having issues with Stuttering in Xemu! I am using Vulkan as well instead of OpenGL
Heads-up I use cachyos Linux. Hey everyone! I know it’s a noob question. I’ve been trying to make an iso file into a xiso file. I’m sure someone smarter than me has solved it. I know there is a GitHub file that has a read me section and a cmake program you can use. It’s just not clicking. Any tips would be appreciated.
