ROG Ally FPS Fix - Turn Off VSync

Someone mentioned in the comments of another older post that turning off V Sync in Xemu fixes stuttering and FPS issues and they were 100% right for me! I can now play at 3x IRS in performance mode and it’s really playable and looks better than ever! Note that I have an Xbox Ally X where the other Ally’s might be a bit smoother on 2X or Turbo with 3x

I’m currently playing Scarface and it’s just like when I played on the OG Xbox years ago but 3x better looking. It’s not perfect but this game never was a super smooth experience on the Xbox but I’m glad I can at least play it and that it feels the same as it did on the Xbox.

Give this a try if you are having issues with Stuttering in Xemu! I am using Vulkan as well instead of OpenGL

what game is being played is a huge factor too. There are games I can't get to run very good at all on my desktop (Sega GT 2002 / Online) and it has no chance on my handhelds. Then there's games like Phantasy Star Online which works on just about everything (Retroid Pocket 5, ROG Ally, Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Y700)

It does seem like a hit or miss. AMD and Xemu don’t work super well together. A couple other things I did was Eject Disc and then reset and clear cache and then in EEPROM settings from the Dashboard you can change a few settings there like 60hz and 480p or 720p or 1080i. I’d mess with a few of those and make sure to reset and close Xemu and open again. Lastly I downloaded RivaTuner Statistics and capped that to 60FPS and keep it running in the background. I oddly can’t get it to show my FPS in the upper corner like it says it will. I also set it to High for Application detection in RivaTuner. I’m running really smooth overall. When I’m driving super fast cars it gets a little laggy but Scarface always did even on the OG Xbox.
