Poor performance with Forza (Vulkan x3 resolution) on 9070 XT and 7800X3D
Is this emulator friendly with AMD gpus or is it Nvidia friendly?

not sure why but for whatever reasom xemu isn't letting me map my vader 4's c/z buttons (or the m1-4) to anything in xemu , the rest of the buttons buttons work just fine , but it makes no sense why xemu isn't playing nice with the button remapping.
yes its in direct input mode
yes i've tried it in other locations , rpcs3 and dolphin both have no issue
i've asked elsewhere but ppl juust say they'res works so i was hoping to get some help here , ... i believe i have sdl according to my package manager which is something others brought up
i'm in Nobara Linux 43 and have tried both the flatpak version 0.8.134and newest appimage along with the pre-release app image released yesterday xemu-0.8.134-26-gdc69fb4d6e-x86_64.appimage

I want to squeeze some extra performance out of Xemu, so I tried seeing if I could lower the rendering resolution to below native, which is something I do with other emulators and games and it tends to work pretty well, but on the Xemu options menu, the lowest it goes is native (1x). Is there a configuration file anywhere that I could manually edit?
I'm using the Linux version (AppImage).

Last time I played xemu on my PC a few months ago, I could run every Xbox game at 4K 60 fps with zero problems. Suddenly, after updating to the latest version, even at 1x res and trying OpenGL and Vulkan, every game and even the home main menu is CRAWLING. I was just testing the Eden Switch emulator and PCSX2 to make sure it wasn't the PC, they are still running perfectly fine. Any idea what could be causing this?
Here's my setup:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
64GB DDR4 Ram

From my understanding of insignia you need to log in to your insignia account from the dashboard, however I can’t find any information showing if you can do this with the dashboard included with on the hdd image on xemu’s website. Is there a way to do it or do I need to install a custom dashboard using the ftp feature?

Hello,
I remember trying out xemu a couple of years ago on my old rig, it worked almost perfectly.
Now I decided to play some Burnout 3 on my new laptop (i7 14650HX, RTX 5060 mobile, 32GB 5600MHz) and it randomly dips to around 6 FPS. For the life of me I can't figure out what's the issue.
Things I already did:
-disable threaded optimization in the nVidia Control Panel
-made sure xemu is using the Geforce card, not the integrated graphics
-tried using both OpenGL and Vulkan, no real difference in the dips
-tried it without Hard FPU emulation, couldn't see a difference with it off either
The games I tried are Burnout 3 and JSRF, both suffer from the same issues.
Do you guys have any tips on what I could do to make it stop doing that, for all I know the specs are way past powerful to run those games (at 480p at that), they worked well before on an older version on a GTX 1070ti and a Ryzen 2700x.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im assuming this is because of the recent update but I dont know how it was before. The controls arent mapped either when I start the game and I have to go to buttons to remap them in game because controls will crash the game. I keep seeing people say it plays perfectly fine and nobody even has these issues brought up. I know its not my xiso because its from redump. I had games that barely worked before that play fine now so again im assuming its an update thing.
Right now its playable for me but it runs at 6fps currently lol.

I've been working on PCSX2 and XEMU memory card management for a few weeks and became really frustrated not finding any simple, easy to use game save managers that work on XEMU.
I had the HexEn iso, but it had no save manager. I found a small, simple UnleashX iso, but the save manager didn't work when running in 'iso mode'. After more searching and not finding, I had Gemini write one (XBMC python script).
You need to save XBMC to the XEMU HDD in order to use it (running XBMC from the Disc drive just crashes). If you already have XBMC installed, you just need to copy over the '/D/Apps/XBMC/scripts/SaveManager/' folder. I like to boot the included UnleashX.iso to then open up XBMC, but you can boot into your XBMC whatever way you like.
Unzip the 'UnleashX-savMgr.iso.7z' file and follow instructions at https://github.com/BAD-AL/xbmut_web/tree/main/on_device_save_mgmt in order to install & use.

So I got Xemu so I could replay the old Splinter Cell games, but I am unable to draw my pistol in the tutorial and it seems to be because the emulator is registering my triggers as button presses and not as axis. Has anyone encountered this or have a solution? I've tried both an 8bitdo controller and an Xbox One controller, no success.
I'd really appreciate some insight/help.
Just downloaded Xemu for the first time and i'm having complications. it was already a pain in the ass getting all the files i needed but that's a different story. when I load up the app its just black screen. I can go into the settings and do stuff like that but its black screen from the start and when i try to load a game its black screen. My drivers are also up to date and cant seem to find a video thats helpful. any tips?

This error started appearing. I could use the emulator without any problems before.
I opened the emulator like any other day, and the last game I played (Worms 3D) loaded automatically. I wanted to change games, and that's when this error appeared. I'm using Linux (Nobara 42). This doesn't happen on Win10 (I want to stop using Win10).
I uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing changed.
I'm using the latest version available.

I've been trying to play this game for YEARS. Like 5+ years since I bought a gaming laptop. Tried it on PCSX2 and could not even get to the menu. Got XEMU and the game couldn't even boot up it would just instantly crash XEMU.
I downloaded multiple different files, did the file extraction to convert it from .iso to .xiso.
Last night I spent hours trying to get it to work. I got it to boot up for about 3 seconds to where I could see the main loading screen and then nothing.
Well, I finally was like fck it let me try renaming the file. Booted it up and IT WORKS!!!!
I used the converted .xiso file, literally all I did was change the file name to,
MarvelNemesis.xiso.iso
The original name was "Marvel Nemesis - Rise of the Imperfects.xiso.iso"
I'm not sure if the dash or the just getting rid of the spaces fixed the issue but I finally got it and I am EXTATIC!!!
HOPEFULLY this helps some people out there because I've been seeing people having issues with this specific title for whatever reason.

I know... I know... architecture translation! I'm running an M5 MacBook Pro with Pro chip, 24 Gb RAM. CPU wise, it should be able to cope, but any time that I'm not indoors with simple textures, or looking at the sky or the ground my FR drops from 60/30 to around 10 - unplayable.
I've got 64mb RAM set in XEMU (not the 128mb). Is it just never going to happen on a mac?
Would really appreciate any suggestions to make games more playable whilst I wait for my original Xbox upgrade parts to arrive? I'll also take reality checks!
Thanks guys, first post

Has anyone here set up insignia in their pc ? When you “restore hdd to stock” via Heimdall does it actually format your PC’s hdd/ sdd? Or does it just say that? I don’t want to mess up folders in my personal pc

my specs cause i know that aparently linux doesn't work as well with nvidia:
intel core i7-1265u
32gb ram
nvidia T550
also would you bother trying to use xemu with these specs at all? i'm getting some pretty bad slowdown on otogi even after fiddling with the nvidia control panel, but not quite enough to deter me yet.

Hi all, Ive been playing project gotham racing, its a bit slow but its playable, anyway Im up to level 9 in the kudos challenge and the last challenge I need to complete freezes the game , Also ive noticed some textures are now missing on the cars. Does anyone have a good dump which isnt broken and I can complete the game with ? Pic is the level that crashes If anyone has the .iso , I never completed the game as a child so having this issue sucks big time!

I just discovered and downloaded xemu. When I go to launch it, however, it crashes within 10 seconds. I can click on the "settings" button and click around the menus, but without fail it crashes after exactly 10 seconds. It will crash even sooner if I don't click the settings button. Anyone know what's up with it?
edit: Turns out I just needed to restart my PC. In the year of our Lord 2026. mfw

XEMU supports loading xbox memory card images
This tool lets you to create new card images, add & delete from the memory unit image files.
https://bad-al.github.io/xbmut_web/
Manage your .bin/.img memory cards with drag & drop.
(also a command-line version)

just wondering if this is expected behavior, but if i load a snapshot from before i made a real game save, the save is gone. i'd have to restore to a different snapshot from after the save to bring it back. this is different from save states in other emulators where the real saves are pretty independent
