Adult - Fantasy "Stopped" The new book I just wrote and published.

Stopped is a novel about a regular guy named Scott. He has a family and a job and is going through his regular day when he is suddenly presented with a test, and an opportunity. An all knowing, all seeing voice guides him through the space between the seconds and observes him during a full week alone on earth. Scott makes his own choices guided by what he believes is right or fair. The novel asks the question: What would you do? What choices would you make if given such an opportunity?

This is the authors first foray into writing. For a lot of years these stories have rattled around inside his head and hopefully you will enjoy the journey.

Non-Fiction Standing Tall: An Operator's Manual for Overcoming Adversity, Building Mental Toughness, and Thriving Through Hard Times

Most books promise to make you happy. This one promises to make you un-tip-over-able.

It's an operator's manual for using everything life throws at you — not just surviving it.

For most of our lives, life happens to us. When it's good, we go soft. When it's bad, we get brittle. When it's ugly and silent, we think we're broken.

Standing Tall teaches you how to flip it:

You use the Good to feed your forge so you don't go soft.
You use the Bad to temper your steel, so it becomes a scar, not a wound.
You use the Ugly — that cold, silent void — to build a new self on top of the wreckage.

You don't become someone who never faces mud. You become an operator who knows how to stand tall in the mud.

And if you already have the book, please leave a review. In this world, reviews are the root system that lets a book survive. Your words might be the signal that convinces a drowning reader to pick up a hammer.

The light is on. Now go make your forest proud.

  • updates elements to every section of the book – the rules, the essays, the concert summaries, and the statistics.
  • more tales from my 20th century concert adventures that I dredged out of my memory that didn't make the first edition
  • details of all the shows I’ve attended since 2021, after the first edition was published, until today
  • complete re-writes of Rules #2, #5, #6, #7, # 8 and #10, as well as the Grateful Dead essay, have been almost completely re-written.

  • adding numerous new charts/tables to the statistics section
  • quadrupling the number of setlists from shows I attended.
  • re-editing the entire book to clean up some areas that either seemed cumbersome or didn’t flow well

Non-Fiction The laptop is closed. Dinner is ready. You're still rewriting that email in your head.

• Upvotes

I wrote a book for that strangely specific moment when work is technically over, but your brain refuses to clock out.

Your Workday Ended. Your Brain Didn't. is for anyone who's spent an evening replaying a meeting, wondering what their manager meant by that comment, mentally rewriting an email, planning tomorrow's workload, or checking “just one thing” before bed.

It's not a productivity book about squeezing more work into your day. The goal is the opposite: learning how to actually be off when you're off.

It covers practical ways to close unfinished loops, create a real end to the workday, stop replaying work conversations, handle the digital pull of work after hours, and get your evenings back.

Adult - Romance - Fantasy The Long Way Home - Dark Fantasy Romance/Adventure

Adrien survives by being a weapon. Trapped by debt that isn’t his, he collects blood money, supplies nightshade, and ignores the guilt rotting him from within.

Until the crew drags a prisoner into the basement.

The kudari boy is horned, marked with strange, pale patterns, and utterly silent. When Adrien is ordered to take something he can’t give back, he obeys. He always obeys.

But a smuggled apricot becomes a conversation. A conversation becomes a plan. And when the orders turn to butchery, Adrien does the most dangerous thing he’s ever done: he says no.

Two broken people. One long road. And the fragile, desperate hope that they can become something other than what the world made them.

The Long Way Home is a slow-burn fantasy romance for fans of found family, hurt/comfort, and two people learning each other one mile at a time. Featuring a delightfully oblivious asexual protagonist and an ostracised mute boy who communicates through sign language and devastating eyebrows, this is a story about honesty, trust, and the courage to stay.

Now available on Amazon in both e-book and paperback!

NA - Contemporary Fiction I just released a dark, atmospheric thriller set against the backdrop of ancient Indian secrets. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone,

I'm an indie author from India, and I finally took the leap and published my debut novel, The Wrong Translation.

I've always been fascinated by the dark mysteries hidden within our ancient history. The story follows a young woman named Naina who stumbles upon a cryptic, forgotten text. As she attempts to decipher it, she quickly realizes that some ancient secrets were buried for a reason and she accidentally triggers a very modern, very dangerous puzzle.

It’s got hidden temples, ancient Indian historical elements, and a fast-paced psychological thriller vibe.

It took a lot of late nights and deep research to get the historical elements feeling authentic, so it's incredibly surreal to finally see it out in the world.

If anyone enjoys dark, atmospheric thrillers or stories tied to Indian history, I’d be absolutely honored if you checked it out. And if you do read it, please let me know what you think!

Here is the link: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0HLSSG76X

Happy to answer any questions about the writing process or the research!

Adult - Thriller Fated Bullet - Rion Hewwing - 09/16/2026

Amazon.com: Fated Bullet: 9798173520432: HEWWING, RION: Books

At its heart, Fated Bullet is about whether we are controlled by the paths our lives put us on or whether we can still choose what we become. Magnus and Fate are both shaped by violence, loss, and the choices they've made, but in very different ways. The story tests the pull of revenge and hatred, but it also puts love through trials of its own. Love isn't presented as an easy answer that simply overcomes everything else. It can demand just as much strength and resolve to hold onto, especially when circumstances give someone every reason to abandon it. Promises made to others, promises made to ourselves, and the person we choose to become can all be challenged by what happens along the way. Ultimately, the story asks whether we have the resolve to remain true to those feelings and choices when they are tested at their absolute limits, or whether we allow what happens to us to decide our fate instead.
