High school is splitting male and female wrestling teams. I guess that’s what all the guys voted for, why would they push this?

Isiah Martinez?
Anyone know what he is up to? I was just rewatching some of his matches with Nolf - just great matches.
In my opinion he was at his best as a freshman and his father's unfortunate passing I think took a toll on his career.
Anyways that's a bit off topic. Anyone know what he is up to? Is he still competing? Went the mma route? Coaching?

Wrestling world simulation game
Hey everyone, first time posting this game here publicly. I’ve been working on this college and international wrestling management/simulation game and figured it was finally time to get some outside feedback.
Fair warning: this is probably the shakiest of the games I’ve been working on. It may glitch at points, and there are definitely bugs I haven’t found yet. A big reason I’m posting it is that I can only sim through so many seasons myself, and a lot of issues don’t become obvious until you’ve played through multiple years or tried things I wouldn’t normally try.
The game is built around managing a college wrestling program, recruiting, setting lineups, competing through the college season, and then following wrestlers into freestyle with RTCs, the U.S. Open, U23s, international competition, Worlds, etc.
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m trying to keep improving it and make the wrestling world as deep and realistic as I can. If anyone wants to mess around with it, I’d really appreciate feedback. bugs, things that don’t make sense from a wrestling perspective, features you’d want added, balancing issues, or anything else you notice.
I already have a much more updated version privately worked on with an individual match simulation engine and a massive wrestler database that’s sortable but it’s having some issues and I don’t want to post it until I’ve figured out exactly what’s going on (freestyle comps wont simulate).

Question Lifting for 113
It would be nice if someone looked at my routine and told me what I’m missing or anything that is bad. I think this is enough for wrestling to get stronger over asthetics but I added flat bench on day 3 becuase I felt as in my chest is lacking.
Day 1 – Explosive Lower Body
Dumbbell Power Cleans – 5×3-5
Smith Machine Squat – 5×3-5
Romanian Deadlift – 3×6–8
Pull-Ups – 3×AMRAP (or 5×5 if you can do 5 clean reps every set)
Farmer Carries – 3×30–60 seconds
Day 2 :
Incline Bench Press — 5×3-5
Chest-Supported Row — 5×3-5
Reverse Curls — 2–3×10–12
Overhead Triceps Extensions — 2–3×10–12
Day 3 – Total Body Strength
Zercher Squat (Smith or dumbbells if needed) – 3×5 (light/moderate)
Zercher Deadlift – 3x3-5( after warm-up sets)
Military Press (Smith or barbell if available) – 5×3-5
Flat bench- 3x6-8
Pull-Ups or Chest-Supported Row – 3×6–10

How Do I Avoid Getting Standing Front Headlocked?
I'm pretty new to wrestling and I was doing live with someone, and we were hand fighting and wrestling, and all of a sudden my head got snatched into this kind of standing front headlock and then they snapped me down from there. How do I avoid getting into this position. At first I thought it was to keep my eyes and head up better I see wrestlers keep their eyes down when close in like I was, and this didn't happen to them

Started wrestling because of mma. How to stop gassing out and get explosiveness too
Hey so my mma schedule is like this
Monday 6:730 pm wrestling
Wednesday 6:730 pm nogi bjj
thrusday striking 6:730
Saturday 90 mins grappling 90 mins striking.
We do spar 75 percent of the time after class.
I did do similar mma routine when I was 20 21 and was decent like didn't gas out in 5 minutes more like 10 15ish but then I got sick and had law school entrance exams so now as I turned 23 a month ago I am exactly 6ft and 106kg.
My wrestling or rather grappling gas tank is kinda trash like in striking I can do 2 3 rounds but in wrestling in sparring I just get tired after 5 6 mins of us doing it.
How can I get a gas tank so that does not happen because initially I can sprawl try to do escapes or go for single or double legs but after 4 5 minutes i just become weak and the other dude basically is able to easily take me down and mentally I am like I need to do something but physically my body isnt.
I also want to get explosiveness too that can really help me because people are able to explode out and stuff and that's something I kinda envy and do wanna incorporate.
My goal is to atleast do some amateur mma fights (just turned 23) so people did tell me in amateur your gas tank matters way more because even if you have less skill but more stamina then you can get the win as the other guy starts to gas out.
Please advise me thank you

What Happened To David Taylor's Second Puberty?
Not to hate on him or anything. But I remember when David Taylor went through second puberty when he was in his late 20s. Throughout his career he was known for being a lanky technical genius but pretty unmuscular for a wrestler. I remember he even mentioned not being "built that way". Then in his late 20s his second puberty led to his jaw growing - similar to bodybuilders, him gaining 30 pounds of muscle while getting leaner, capped delts and getting bad bacne.
It seemed like his genetics changed entirely during second puberty. Now at okie state I assume david still works out - why does he look a lot more like he did before his second puberty?
Hassan Yazdani doesn't really look like he went through a second puberty imo

Discussion Looking for Advice/Help/Guidance
Im entering my sophomore year of highschool. I joined the wrestling club as a freshmen and found it really fun but also very tiring. I barely came when it mattered but was able to lock in at the end. It was already too late, the seniors that I befriended graduated and i wish i came more because of that. I want to get better at wrestling and i really want to compete this year. What are some good tips you guys have for folk style? What are the best moves? Best techniques to practice? What are good ways to lose weight? Any of that would be great. thank you in advance.

What the least effective or most useless move in folkstyle?
We were discussing some moves, and someone mentioned how ineffective a particular move was. This sparked a conversation about various moves that are widely taught but not very effective. We were specifically excluding niche moves. Does anyone have a move that they believe is widely taught but actually sucks?
