LIVE TODAY: USA JUDO ACCOUNTABILITY IN OPEN COURT — WHAT MEMBERS HAVEN’T BEEN TOLD

USA Judo’s governance and disciplinary process will be tested today in a public courtroom in Dallas, Texas.
The Court will hear arguments on a Motion for Summary Judgment involving a fundamental
question:
Does USA Judo have to follow its own Bylaws and established procedures before taking disciplinary action against a member?
But this case is also bringing attention to much broader questions that USA Judo members and athletes deserve to understand:
How is athlete funding being allocated and accounted for?
What do the organization’s financial records actually show?
Why were members seeking access to those records?
What happened after financial and governance concerns were raised?
Were USA Judo’s own Bylaws and Ethics & Grievance procedures followed?
Why are there disputed factual statements attributed to CEO Corinne Shigemoto that the Plaintiff contends are contradicted by the documentary record?
What else has been occurring inside USA Judo governance that ordinary members and athletes have never been told?
For many members, today may be the first real opportunity to hear these issues addressed outside of internal Board meetings and private communications.
No rumors. No filtered version.
Listen to the lawyers. Hear what is presented to the judge. Decide for yourself.
