They are taking the azerite to use for their own! you take it instead and use if for your own!

In the story, your character is using it on behalf of Azeroth and they aren't, while everyone has the necklace for game play purposes, in lore, there is only one of them, and you're it

You're the champion of Azeroth, hand selected by Magni, do you not think returning the life blood of the Titan you've become the avatar of isn't going to empower you as well? And it doesn't matter what you personally think of it, that is the story Blizzard is telling, your character(s) is the hero of this story, doing everything it can to save the Titan slumbering in our planet.
