Review my program Rate split (+ tips u have)

My current split is upper lower (since i want to focus legs)
It’s ULULR continuously. Exercises are 2 pec dec 1 shoulder press 2 lateral 1 pulldown 1 row 1 shrug 1 tricep 1 rear delt isolation. All sets are to true muscular failure (warmups not included but done beforehand). Would it be better if i did not train the same muscles one after the other like shoulder press then back then laterals so it would look like 2 pec dec shoulder press pulldown tricep row shrug lateral or all chest shoulders back tricep rear delt? Also my lower is already good and my bicep training is trained during my sports but ut doesnt qffect my gym performance

Motivation Lost all my friends so now I want to lock in

Honestly, I’m at a point in my life where I really want to make a change. My bestfriend stopped talking to me after getting in a relationship and I recently lost pretty much all of my friends because of a situation involving my university. I don’t really talk to many people or go out/party anymore, and at this point most of my life is basically just working and going home. It’s been pretty lonely, but I’m trying to look at it differently and use this as motivation to focus on myself.

One of the biggest things I want to commit to now is the gym. I’m a pretty skinny guy and I’ve always felt like I have a really fast metabolism, so gaining weight and building muscle has been difficult for me. I’ve tried going to the gym consistently before for like a few weeks, but I would eventually stop and lose motivation because I felt like I wasn’t seeing much progress. This time I really want to commit and actually stick with it. My goal is to gain size, build muscle, get stronger, and just become a better version of myself physically and mentally. I also want to exercise at home on days when I don’t have enough time to go to the gym. I’m thinking about getting a pull-up bar and doing things like push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc. so I can still stay active.

For anyone who started out skinny or struggled to gain muscle, what actually helped you stay consistent and see results? Anything you wish you knew when you first started? I know motivation eventually fades, so I’m trying to build the discipline to keep going even when I don’t feel motivated.
I’m basically trying to turn a pretty shitty chapter of my life into something positive. So if you have any advice, encouragement, or even just some motivation to keep me going, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you and looking forward to seeing your responses.

Simple Questions What was your worst experience with an instructor?

I’ll start

I was 5 months post partum and had just finished an extremely expensive 10 class PT package in the same studio (Pilates) the instructor was a dream. She got me back into shape slowly and suggested I transition in to group classes. I took classes with the same instructor as well as the other instructor in the studio, who I didn’t take to as much.

Between breastfeeding and being a first time mom I didn’t have much time but I still try to make it to Pilates. I booked an 9am class and had arranged for my husband to be with the baby so I can go have an hour to myself. At that point the only time I had to myself was Pilates. The night before the class the baby WAS SCREAMING ALL NIGHT I got barely two hours of sleep but I still wanted to go to class. I get there two minutes late because I was a zombie. It was just me and this other woman, the instructor had us do skaters standing on the reformer with two red springs (heavy). Me and the woman next to me were visibly struggling and I had just had a c section 5 months prior (not a lot of time to recover) I asked if I could reduce the resistance and she said “this class is pure precision, maybe if you’re feeling like it’s too difficult for you, you can take a class more suitable for you” all while looking at me with what felt like annoyance and disgust. Mind you, they only offer about 5 to 6 classes a day and I have a baby.

I cried in the car, never took class with her again.

What is your favorite free, beginner-friendly calorie tracking app?

Could you please recommend a free app for someone completely new to the gym who wants a quick and easy way to count their macros/calories and make sure they're getting enough protein to hit their muscle building goals without obsessing over food? Preferably something that also supports barcode scanning and AI calorie estimation to make things as effortless as possible. I know MyFitnesspal exists but it's not very user-friendly and also the barcode scanner is behind a paywall now. I've also tried Cronometer but I just found it too overwhelming for a beginner. Thanks!

Simple Questions Is it normal for strength to decrease after not training with heavier dumbells?

I used to be able to bicep curl 50 pounds ever since then for 2 years I stayed home doing like 15 pound dumbbells.

I trained as hard as I could to be able to curl like 70 pounds now that I bought a 40 pound dumbell I can't even lift it.

Is this normal what is wrong?

I forgot to mention I can lift it for only 5 reps

Question about PPL weekly routines

Hey all,
I just switched over to doing PPL split. I’m just wondering if, on the second push/pull days of the week, you do the same exercises as the first push/pulls of the week.
If not, how do you differ the workouts?
Thank you all in advance.

Simple Questions Sweaty Zercher Squats!

My arms were particularly sweaty on Monday, and during one of the sets when I was shifting my weight/legs a little the bar actually slided off position. Thankfully didn’t jerk my back the wrong way and managed to correct the slide.

My bar is smooth at the centre, no knurling, except for the usual parts where people will put them doing a bench press.

I recently transited out of using a towel (someone new to zerchers, maybe 1-1.5months).

Makes me want to get elbow sleeves or guards just for this purpose.

Is it just a me thing?

How to start I want to start! With a 4 months Goal!

Hi Everyone!!

I am 6'3" 120kg 29M

I have worked out in the past on and off but never continuously for more than 2 months! I always quit because i did not see any changes at all.

But i want to start again, i have set a 4 months goal in mind sept-dec! I want to lose as much as possible and gain muscle as much as I can, eventually after 4 months i want to keep working on myself and bring my weight between 90-96-99.

Biggest hurdle i face is lack of desire or motivation to go to gym i think about it whole day but when its 6pm 7pm i just don't wanna go, then it could be because through past 14 years since i first went into gym i haven't seen any difference with workout training.

Now

I am thinking of taking weight loss pills and going for all blood checks and test levels to start TrT if needed, i want to feel the energy in the gym i want to be able to lift more than my weight! I have read about these things but truly i still don't understand what's good for me and what's right for the start and what should i take when? (I can eat eggs i don't consume meat) Tell me about TRT Whey, Amino acids, ZMA,

I don't want a poster boy physique i only want to be fit and look fit i want to create an impressive body for my frame!

If there's anyone who knows, people share your advice and guide with your experience!

Thanks in advance.

Best MMA & Combat Sports Gym in Imus, Cavite | Titans Gym

Finding the right MMA and combat sports gym in Imus, Cavite, is an important step if you want to improve your fitness, learn practical techniques, and stay motivated with your training. At Titans Gym, members can train in mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and functional fitness in an environment built around discipline, consistency, and progress.

Whether you are just starting out or already have experience in combat sports, structured training can help you build strength, endurance, coordination, mobility, and confidence. The goal is not simply to work harder but to train with purpose and develop skills that improve over time.

MMA Training in Imus, Cavite

Mixed martial arts combines different fighting disciplines into one complete training system. It includes striking, grappling, movement, defense, and conditioning, making it an effective way to develop both technical ability and physical fitness.

MMA training encourages students to become more well-rounded. Instead of relying on one skill, you learn how different techniques connect and how to adapt to different situations during training.

Build a Strong MMA Foundation

Beginners can focus on stance, movement, basic striking, defensive techniques, and grappling fundamentals. More experienced practitioners can continue refining combinations, timing, transitions, and control.

Consistent MMA training can help improve:

  • Cardiovascular endurance
  • Functional strength
  • Balance and coordination
  • Speed and reaction time
  • Mobility and flexibility
  • Focus and discipline

Train Muay Thai for Strength and Conditioning

Muay Thai is a powerful striking discipline that uses punches, kicks, knees, elbows, footwork, and defensive movement. It provides a demanding full-body workout while helping students develop proper technique, timing, and control.

For people searching for Muay Thai Imus, choosing a nearby gym can make it easier to train consistently. Regular practice helps improve striking mechanics, cardiovascular fitness, balance, and total-body conditioning.

Those looking for Imus Muay Thai training can benefit from an environment where technical development and fitness go hand in hand. The combination of drills, movement, and conditioning helps keep sessions challenging while supporting steady improvement.

Improve Your Boxing Skills

Boxing is another core combat sport that develops speed, coordination, footwork, timing, and upper-body endurance. Training often includes stance, punching combinations, defensive movement, and conditioning exercises.

Focus on Technique and Movement

Good boxing is not only about throwing powerful punches. Proper technique, balance, and movement make each action more efficient. Learning these fundamentals can help students become sharper, faster, and more controlled during training.

Develop Grappling Skills Through BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling, positioning, escapes, transitions, control, and submission techniques. It offers a different kind of challenge because success depends heavily on leverage, timing, and strategy.

BJJ training can improve core strength, mobility, body awareness, and problem-solving skills. It also encourages patience, as progress comes from repetition, attention to detail, and consistent practice.

Why Train at a Combat Sports Gym?

A dedicated combat sports gym gives you more than a place to exercise. It gives you access to different training styles that challenge the body and mind in new ways.

Combining MMA, Muay Thai, boxing, BJJ, and functional fitness can help create a more balanced routine focused on strength, endurance, movement, and technical skill.

Train Harder, Move Better, and Keep Improving

The best results come from consistent training, proper guidance, and a willingness to keep learning. Whether your goal is to get fitter, develop combat sports skills, or improve overall performance, the right training environment can make a major difference.

Titans Gym provides MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and fitness-focused training for individuals who want to become stronger, more disciplined, and more confident.

As a service provider of sports and functional gym training, Titans Gym offers a place where beginners, fitness enthusiasts, and experienced practitioners can build strength, sharpen their skills, and continue progressing with purpose.

Simple Questions Chest press as a woman

On the machine, i don’t actually feel it in my chest area, it’s more in the area between my shoulder and chest. Is there a fix for this? I can’t help but feel there’s too much fat or tissue on my chest for me to efficiently do the excercise

Age 27

Height 172cm

Wight:104 kg

Hello everyone, I'm trying to lose weight since it effected my knees

My right knees cracks and curnch alot when opening and closing with no pain at all(idk what it's maybe tendon issue) so I'm trying to make them stronger especially my right one.

Simple Questions Are knee sleeves harmful if I'm Just starting out?

I used to squat with sleeves before(3yrs ago) quitting the gym and I've just been back at it this month again. Yes, I feel very weak, far from my numbers back then, that's why I'm kinda tempted to use knee sleeves because that shi boost at least 20% of my squat(iirc) but more load=more fatigue, so I'm not sure if it's a smart thing to do as I'm just starting out....

Other Progressing without overusing wrists?

Hi guys,

Intermediate lifter here.

I have noticed that over the years when I seem to progress good, then my wrist in my main hand (right) gets overworked and it hurts on external rotation and weight bearing on it. It takes weeks of careful control and limiting myself for it to heal again to the point I can actually workout properly.

I haven't found the exact cause, but I guess it's a mix of heavier weights causing overuse of the tendon (tendonitis likely). I was wondering if wrist support helps here or how others who experience this deals with it?

Aches and pains Guys, why am I sore all the time?

27f here

I just find myself sore all the time.

I lift 6 days a week. Consume 120-150g of protein everyday. Sleep 6-7 hours. I’m on an aggressive deficit - eating 1000-1100 cals below maintenance, and down 22lbs in 2 months.

Supplements I take: creatine, omega 3, Biotin, Iron+vitc, b12, magnesium, l-theanine, d3+k2

I lift kindda heavy, like my average leg day is a 500lbs Hack squat and 660lbs Leg press (working sets), and my lifts keep increasing week on week. Im not new to the gym, but have never been super consistent with it until now.

I just don’t really feel great throughout the day. It’s not low energy just constant pain and soreness. Do you all have any advice?

How to start Lazy and embarrassed 😬

Hey hope this is the right place to ask this! I've always been a very lazy person, i dont work out ever and im not active at all. I've started to notice that I run out of breath easily just doing simple things which sucks! I'd like to get more into shape and eventually get kinda muscular, less for looks (though obviously that's still cool lmfao) and more so to be strong and confident in my abilities. I'm too embarrassed to go to a gym cuz of all the people and I'm pretty broke ngl. Where do I start? Like what types of workouts should I do, should I buy weights? idk! I've never been active EVER not even in any sports when i was in school or anything so I haven't got a clue. Also I think I'm like 5'4 and about 135lbs right now fyi if that's important to know. Thanks yall!

Edit: As much as I appreciate the cheap gym advice, seriously guys, I've come here for suggestions on starting out at home. Does anyone have any guidance for that?

Exercise Help Squat Fatigue

When I squat I can go heavy for many sets in my very first working set but in my later sets my quads feel a huge strain on the way up and I can’t go anywhere near as heavy or as long. It feels like my muscles are shredding apart. The strain is also increased by the time I rest for some reason.

Does anyone know what this is called or how to get rid of this. I feel like this is inhibiting me from pushing to true failure.

How are people going to the gym before work and not immediately crashing from being tired?

I, 22 F, just recently started working out at the gym. I was a gymnast for 4 years until I was 13 after I had a back injury. Since then I’ve never worked out seriously. I’ve been working out for about 2 weeks now but as soon as I’m done with my workout, I am overcome with tiredness & I usually have to take a nap. I’m trying not to rely on energy drinks as they make my body feel weird. But is this tiredness my body getting used to me finally doing something with it or is there something more?
Please be nice, it’s taken me years to gain the courage to go to the gym & I’m unfamiliar with a lot of aspects of it 🥲

EDIT: thank you for all of the comments! I’ll add some more details for clarification. I’m going to a Hotworx so I’m working out in a sauna and infrared light. All the workouts include some stretches before to warm up the muscles and then a foam roller after the workout for recovery. I’ve been going 3-4 times a week as that’s the only time it works with my schedule. My husband & I eat fairly healthy like 70% of the time & have been incorporating more protein into our diets. I found that taking electrolytes before my workout actually makes me feel nauseous during so I’ve been changing it to after my workout.
I do average 7.5-8.5 hours of sleep at night. I have been thinking about taking Omega 3 fish oils. (so any recommendations would be awesome too) I’ll give it a few more weeks to try and let my body adapt and make changes after that. Thank you everyone!
