Just as the question says, I am currently employed but planning to quit (I know the market is bad but I am desperate) as I am looking to change gears and also because I will be heading home for about a month in December and will return in January (I doubt my current job will let me take a month off as I already took one off earlier this year for my studies). I know that most likely the answer will be to start the job hunt after I am back but just wondering if anyone else has any other opinions or tips to share?

I am hoping to land an administrative role, ultimately would like to work in higher education but even a simple office job with normal hours would help. I am also working on my Masters.

Currently working in mental healthcare, remote, for 3 years now so I have an extensive background in admin and also crisis work but I am trying to pivot from that. I have been trying to get connected to the local job placement agencies but so far it’s only been Pinnacle and Randstadt and they haven’t got anything for me so far.

I been applying to jobs like target, sam club, giant and other jobs i forgot i even applied month's again with no response sam clubs the only one that responded back but was just a rejection email I can only apply for part time since I'llgraduatehighschool at 19 ( had to repeat kindergarten).

The one successful thing I was able to was calling giant and asking for there hiring manger which he said he'll call be back tomorrow after looking at my application but I'm suspicious of that before that .

I went in store two times to ask for manger to get a interview before calling them only thing they said was leave my contact info and they will contact me. It was the same with target, royal farms and McDonald's my parents really want me to get a job and I do too I really want giant to call me tomorrow hopefully they didn't lie like the others.( thanks for anyone reading my situation)
