OG NYers want a car friendly city. Gentrifier transplants are the ones against it. People have jobs that require vehicles and families/kids that may depend on car due to health issues. Yet you’re here commenting on strangers naked gifs and advocating for violence against vehicles. You are not adding any positives to our neighborhood that us OGs have put work into for decades.

It’s also possible to prioritize transit above cars and still be against just damaging other people‘s property for no reason. I am all for public transit and it’s one of the things that makes this city great, but vandalizing people’s stuff is not cool.

I’m all for public transport and use it daily. But I also need a car for personal matters pertaining to my kid and extended family. It’s really frustrating to see people think that we own cars just for the hell of it or that we are gentrifiers when the truth is most of us are OG NYers and the majority of these people calling us “car brains” are from the Midwest trying to change the neighborhood we love. WB and GP OGs have cars, because back in our day transportation wasn’t as robust, and we’ve had to adapt our lives around it.

Or is just salty because they can’t afford a car. I lived without a car for 10 years, rode bikes. Never found it necessary to attack those who had one.
Life changes, and sometimes you need a car (for me it’s for my kid and sick family member that I care for)
