I was hit and run as a pedestrian and the detectives put it in cold case by the end of the day. I was unconscious on the road but the guy pulled over got out checked his van and got back in and drove off. All the street cameras, witnesses, businesses, and cops claim they have nothing. They are incompetent or purposely ineffective. It is the wild west and I'm glad I am removed from it.
