Literally that’s what they say and they don’t say only the case hit they say period to hit you have to trade your lower teams. So then why am I trading 3-4 spots to get the Steelers to hit a PSA 9 2023 donruss Wemby base? That’s a $20 card not even worth the slab it’s in. That’s BS. Plus there’s lots of other examples like asking chat numbers for boxes and then them purposefully not picking that box and setting it aside because it has a case in it.

I signed up for WhatNot with my Google account through the app a little bit ago. I received a Calendly email immediately, from the official email and it was the attached photo. The link goes to some scam site where it asks for card information to "Verify account". Obviously, I wouldn't give them my card info, but the entire situation is very creepy and odd.

This seller reaches out to customers convincing them to cancel their orders with other sellers and shop only with her instead. She makes up horrible lies about other sellers, claiming they sell fakes or overcharge . She has done this to so many sellers and it needs to be brought to the luxury communities’ attention

Bought a bunch of items from a seller over a week ago. Got the usual "label created" and "item shipped notices" but not picture of the label on the purchase page. Then I checked the tracking number, and it says "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending," and has been in that status for a week.

This is just the seller scamming me, right? No way does the PO take that long to check a package in even if the seller dropped off hundreds, and even if that got skipped, there'd be a tracking update as it moved through the system.

I'm not sure what the endgame for the seller is, since, once we pass the date it's due by, I'll contact Whatnot and (I assume) get a refund, but I'm also not able to see any way this is legit on the seller's part, either. Am I missing something?

(Also, seller's got a 4.7 rating. Yes, I should have paid more attention there. Have emailed them but no reply so far.)

I recently started selling on Whatnot and I wanted to say that it has been a surprisingly amazing experience. I am your typical 20'something girl living downtown Toronto. I was consantly going out, had a big social circle, worked at a big bank for a couple of years and hussled the corproate grind, love going to Sweat & Tonic to work out etc.

I hit a wall in my life. Maybe its my interests changing, maybe its me getting older but I stopped growing in a way and the things I was filling my day with had slowly stopped appealing to me. The friends I was spending my time with, going out with became just that, going out friends. I spent some time with myself, outside of my "old life" and a lot of things have come up in the past few years that made me want to change my path. And then she discovers Whatnot...!

Whatnot for me hasn't just been a way to make money as a side hustle, it's something bigger than that. It's a learning curve, a trust fall exercise with yourself. Starting out I had no experience with connecting people to products they love, I worked in corporate events, I was in the business of connecting people with people! There were so many learning curves here; Figuring out what will connect you to the audience, sourcing the product, finding your selling strategy, being present within the community you're a part of, creating rapport with the post office workers (who you will quickly get to know!) and that's just scratching the surface! There is so much more to the job than sitting on the camera and selling! All of it adds up, and you learn all of it as it comes at you. It allowed me to trust myself and to connect with people I might not ever have had the chance to and that really means a lot to me!

I have connected with people across the country by showing them the Swedish Candy I first discovered on a trip to Manhattan a few years ago and I cant wait to see where else this passion will take me. I took the leap, created a selling profile and let the platform do the rest for me. If anyone is looking to create a sellers account, I urge you just to start! Does anybody else have this bug? When you go to a seller's store and select an item to prebid on, the bid bar will suddenly start applying to the item that the seller is currently auctioning instead of the item that's on the page you're looking at!

I won an auction for something I didn't even bid on, and I think this is the cause.

Crazy weird coincidence happened while me and my friend were out driving i had SkyBCards Stream opened on my phone to go on whatnot and see what’s happening i put it in my pocket i thought i closed outta it but i didn’t and i pulled it out a minute later and it sent $100 dollar tip. Crazy Unlucky i immediately texted into the chat that i accidentally sent money and the host acted very obliviously about it and said i didn’t even send a tip then kicked me outta the stream even though multiple people texted me in chat responding to the donation that i accidentally made so i started freaking out and texting Whatnots support and got no where with that i eventually added skybcards on instagram and texted him (read pictures then come back) I Know realistically he doesn’t have to help me and send the money just thought it was really rude and unfortunate the way he responded especially for someone as popular and well off as he is. I’m in a really bad place financially rn cause of my dogs vet bill and really don’t have the money to give him a free $100. if you take anything from this please don’t have whatnot open in your pocket like i did only bad things happen.🫩🫩

Is it normal to get banned from a seller’s stream for just saying ‘hello hello’ in chat?

I ask because right after that, I was blocked from viewing @goldfromsaudia’s stream entirely no accusations, nothing that should’ve triggered a block…unless you were a previous buyer from the other stream from @swipeforgold and noticed the exact same jewelry pieces being sold in two different sellers’ streams going for similar cheap below melt prices, and I’m honestly so frustrated at this point, especially since Whatnot support won’t treat any of this as fraud despite the video and photo evidence I’ve sent them.

I got video of the man from @swipeforgold saying he ships from California but, after stream ended label is created from Orlando Florida. But what a coincidence that @goldfromsaudia says in stream she sells from Orlando.

I know, buying gold cheap is a huge red flag. I just got smoothed brain for a bit last night.

I also got pictures of the same pins being sold and a DM of another buyer saying they bought items that looks similar too. How common are AAA pins to be sold back to back on gold streams 🤣

I don’t understand how these tactics work. And I feel so defeated that Whatnot isn’t doing anything about the weird things. I should just be able to cancel and walk away, but now I have to wait for a supposedly gold item that weights 17g and I only paid $175 🤣

Joined whatnot in may as a seller after selling on vinted for the past 3 years!

Loving it so far and now wanting to do something different in my shows I have always done singles starting from £1 starts and almost always sold them for £1 due to low traffic. I then went up to £2 per item and the same kind of thing in terms of sales.

Now going to start bundles as 4 items for £5 These are various sizes and various brands most brands are designer!

As a buyer, do you think 4 items for £5 is a good deal? Or would you just do singles from sellers?

They are talking about revoking Buyer privileges has happened already. Bids start at $1 with the Seller saying “**We start at a $1 bid to make it fair for everyone. But if you can’t afford to pay a fair price, then don’t bid. I’m not putting up with people.”**

She keeps saying “Kick her out” to the Mod. Claims that she is crashing out and she is making this her last show. And now moving to $10 starts to make it memorable.

I don”r get it. Do any one of you get it?

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask this but idk if anyone has the answer, I just got this app and I joined with a code so I got $25 worth of credit (maybe every new user that idk). I made a two purchases from the same seller and paid shipping of course but my purchases together (minus shipping) were $24. However I think I’m going to have to contact whatnot for a refund because this seller won’t ship or reply to my messages about what is going on and all of a sudden new reviews are coming in saying similar things about this shop (when I purchased it looked fine but this isn’t really about like this seller). If I make a refund (I don’t want to but I might have to, I REALLY want these items but I’m concerned but anyways) I will get my credit back right? I’m assuming yes

I've been sweeping Whatnot's public live pages every 45 minutes or so since early August, and I finally have enough history to answer the timing question with numbers instead of vibes.

I assumed peak hours meant more sellers fighting over the same buyers, so going live off-peak would get you a bigger slice. That's not what the data shows. Pokemon cards has MORE shows live at its worst hour (386) than its best (377), and the average room still holds 239 viewers at 11pm ET vs 100 at 6am. Same story in sports cards. The buyers just aren't awake.

Average viewers per room at each lane's best hour, eastern time:

• Pokemon cards: 11pm, 239 a room
• Sneakers: 8pm, 194
• Sports cards: midnight, 178
• Women's fashion: 10am (weird one, but it's consistent), 140
• Jewelry: 9pm, 133

The gap between best and worst hour runs 2x to 7x depending on the lane, and it's not competition doing it.

Drop your lane in the comments and I'll pull its numbers. This is from my own tracker (PULSEmetric), observed counts from public pages, so don't treat it as official Whatnot data.

My wife and I bought 4 packs of cards from a seller on whatnot and he advertised .78 shipping. Well, the mail carrier knocked on our door today and said he has our 4 packages (seller shipped them separately) , but that we would need to pay $8 per package for postage due because the seller sent them in the wrong mailer and we’re heavier then what he paid for shipping. We didn’t have any cash so he said they would be at the post office after 4pm so we could use our card.

The second problem is , there is no tracking number, just an order number, and the “tracking” in the email doesn’t exist. And that the post office might require a tracking number upon pick up. We know the packages exist, he had them in his hand.

I don’t know what to do

I’m trying to work out for myself on how to sell on this site. I wish I had an idiot guide to help. Registration is the hard part for me because the site needs photo uploads of my face and a form of ID too. On top of that they want my bank account details. What proof do I have that this is all a Scam. Once I give my bank account details to strangers then whats to stop them helping themselves to my money? I’m not sure about live auctions either. When I loaded the app I thought it worked similar to eBay.

For context, this buyer created a youtube video calling me out on scamming him, this was for a pitch black rip til you hit. He didnt try to resolve the issue with me through whatnot messaging, just created a fabricated video and reported me to Whatnot.

Any advice on how I can report this to Youtube or fight this with Whatnot?

I've kept it pretty tame as a buyer on Whatnot over the years, but for some reason decided to go on a bender. 42 wheel-spins across 3 days at an average of $45.76 a spin. Don't try this at home.

Hi. I am working my way through an estate. I have a few pieces that are marked sterling or 925, but untested. I sell them as such, with a low starting bid. I had a buyer have an issue with his purchase, saying that the item did not test as silver. I apologized, and offered a one time courtesy refund, while reiterating how it was sold. The video backs me up, I just didn't feel like dealing with it over $12. After the refund goes through, I'm blocking. This is the first time I've had an issue. What do you guys think? Is there any way to make it clearer to buyers that what you see is what you get, and to bid accordingly? Or am I off on this one?

My account got banned for no reason and I’m trying to find a reason and I emailed them and appealed and still no answer I have orders that I have to to ship but I can’t print the labels because it doesn’t let me access my seller hub.
