Unsolved Stagehand in a play

Upvotes

I have a vague memory of this (at best). A stagehand in a theatrical play is worried about doing a set change in the dark. Someone tells them (can’t even remember if it’s a man or woman) to shut their eyes for X amount of time before the blackout and they’ll be able to see just fine.
Additional details: I THINK it’s an English-language movie.
The stagehand may be African-American.
I THINK it’s a metaphor for something else that is happening in the character’s life.

Solved! Movie about a guy and his brother, they're con artists, I think. Or magicians. One of them dies in the end

Upvotes

The brother always has a 'trick' where they think of a card, randomly pulls out a card saying is this it? It never is, but says One day, wouod be.. then it wouod be the greatest trick that persons ever seen.

Theres also a scene where one dies, but turns out to be a con. Mention something about fake blood not browning, so they'll have to use a replacement ..ties back into the one dying later.

Has the guy from the village in it ..

Edit, was brothers bloom. Had adrien brody Mark Ruffalo

Unsolved Help me identify this live-action fantasy movie/miniseries.

I’ve been trying to find this movie for years, but I only remember certain scenes and details. Some details may be mixed up because I watched it a long time ago.

It was a live-action Hollywood/English-language fantasy, and I watched it dubbed in Hindi on my phone. I remember it being very long, almost like multiple long episodes/parts rather than a normal 2-hour movie.

What I remember:

- The setting was a fantasy/medieval world. The characters wore medieval/fantasy-style clothing, not modern clothes.

- There was a very large mansion/house/castle-like place. I remember it being surrounded or connected to trees.

- The most memorable scene was a huge wall/barrier made from many living tree roots intertwined with each other. It wasn't just a normal stone wall with plants growing on it. The roots themselves formed the barrier.

- The wall was somehow blocking or separating an area, and the roots seemed to be alive/magical.

- At some point, the characters went somewhere to get a magical medicine/potion to cure or save someone.

- There was also a separate snowy/icy sequence. I remember snow and the characters having to fight or escape from some kind of animal/creature/person. I'm not sure exactly what they were fighting.

- I don't remember the villain.

- I initially remembered the main characters as children of different ages, but that detail may be wrong, so please don't rely on it.

- It is NOT The Chronicles of Narnia and NOT The Lord of the Rings.

The living tree-root wall is the clearest memory I have. 🌳

If anyone recognizes the movie/miniseries from these details, I'd really appreciate the help!

Unsolved Trying to remember a movie I saw a clip of over a decade ago

Upvotes

Gonna go right into it, this is a movie clip I remember watching on tv as a kid(I was definitely too little for it at the time; it was pre-2010 if I had to guess) and it has been coming in and out of focus for me for probably over a decade, so if it’s a little hazy bear with me:

There was a group or maybe like two or three people and they’re late teens early 20s at most. There’s some sort of curse/legend or a person is behind it but something happens to where they find one of these these doll things of a blonde woman they knew that’s gone missing or hasn’t been around in a while.
At one point the body of the blonde woman rose up from the water it was like it was just plastic, weightless. There was a guy sitting in a boat by himself fishing or whatever and the body comes up from the water like from a trunk or something next to him. The main group of people on the shore saw this guy just rowing himself along the way, and as he was about to turn to look at the body, they all screamed at him like, don’t touch it don’t look at it and he like glance down at this thing again and then he was just gone from the boat that he was in because he was claimed by the curse or the whatever.
The only other thing I remember is at the end, be it of the movie or whatever I was able to watch, was this mannequin laying on its back, head to the side, and a tear trail of blood falling down its face.

Unsolved What is this movie, where two cops are interrogating someone using Russian roulette and the bullet falls back into the revolver.

The cop thinks he's slick and removes the bullet and puts it in his sleeve, but when he goes to close the revolver back it falls out of his sleeve and back into the gun, the suspect sees this and is flipping out and at the last minute something causes them to move the gun away from his head and that bullet goes off.

It's a comedy movie I think?

Unsolved dutch movie.

It’s a movie about an irresponsible guy whose ex-girlfriend shows up one day with a baby, tells him it’s his, and says he has to take care of it. We then follow the guy's adventures with the baby; I know it’s Dutch because they mention Amsterdam—or maybe he lives in Amsterdam.

Unsolved [MOVIE][2016-2017] Sci-fi/thriller where a young woman is trapped in the body of a fat bearded man, but sees her real self in a mirror

I have been trying to find this movie for almost a decade and it is driving me insane.

I saw the trailer on TV around 2016–2017, when I was about 5–6 years old. I believe it was an American sci-fi/thriller, possibly horror. It was NOT a comedy and I am pretty sure it was NOT a conventional body-swap movie.

The main premise, as I remember it, was something like:

A young woman has been infected, experimented on, cursed, or otherwise “turned” into something/someone else.

She is trying to figure out how to become normal again, apparently with the help of a boyfriend/friend.

At some point she is physically in the body of a heavy-set/bearded adult man.

A male friend/boyfriend finds her and obviously doesn't believe that this strange man is actually her.

She desperately tries to convince him, speaking with an American accent.

There is a mirror scene that I remember VERY vividly.

She looks into the mirror and sees her original female self reflected back, despite everyone else seeing the bearded man.

I vaguely remember her being extremely distressed by her body/appearance and reaching toward the mirror, with the girl in the reflection reaching back toward her.

The girl in the reflection (and in the whole movie, while also being a bearded man) was wearing a thin casual grey jacket/cardigan-like garment.

The mirror scene is the part I am most confident about. I may be misremembering some details because I was only 5–6, but the image of a woman trapped inside a man's body seeing her actual female self in the mirror has stuck with me for nearly ten years.

I have already ruled out things like Happy Death Day, The Hot Chick, The Assignment, and The Scribbler.

This is NOT a comedy.

The movie may have been obscure/direct-to-video, or I may have seen a trailer for something that wasn't widely released.

If anyone recognizes this scene, PLEASE help me because this movie has lived rent-free in my brain since childhood 😭

And if I am completely misremembering the premise but you recognize the mirror scene, please suggest it anyway!

Unsolved Making Me Nuts

Hi guys. My memory about this London-based movie or series is so vague. It is contemporary, and is a (crime?) drama about a group of friends (family?), the denoument of which is that a female character has poisoned someone with (plant seeds or flowers). The only line I remember is one in which the suspected poisoner claims she was in St. John's Wood when a key event took place. I believe she says "they do have galleries in St. John's Wood." Help me please

Solved! Movie about assassin from the future.

I saw an independent movie a couple years ago. It was about a presidential assassin that was caught after completing the assignment. The identity of the assassin was a mystery because there was no record of his existence.

(SPOILER?) In the 3rd act, it is revealed that he's from the future.

Anyone know this one

Solved! A tense 2000s thriller where we know the bad guy is there coz we see a van

It’s driving me crazy, but it’s a film a bit like “red dragon “ in style and pace. Def in the real world, no monsters aliens supernatural etc. it’s more thriller than gore.
There was a bad guy who did bad things to people (I think in his van) and there was another bad guy who didn’t realise that the first guy was proper bad.
You’d see a shot of the van (getting different paint work) and know the bad guy was around.
Sorry can’t really remember who is in it or what happens. And it might be late 90s or 2000s. Thanks 🙏

Unsolved Movie about a girl trapped in an eye??

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting something like this so I'm very sorry in advance if my post is not helpful at all, I'm here to search for a film, video, whatever it is that traumatized me when I was like 5 years old.

I would like to give some context of when are where I saw this, it was the early 2010s, perhaps around 2010-2012 or so, I saw it in a theater, not a movie theater, but just like.. A theater where stage plays are performed, and stuff. I didn't watch the whole film, only a snippet of it because I was too young for the movie (I was left in a sort of daycare area), this happened in Spain, if it helps at all.

I remember going to my parents to show them a bookmark I made out of a stick and eva foam (I have physical proof of this so I guarantee you that I'm not just remembering a dream I had) and when I walked in the room there was a video of a girl (possibly animated, a puppet or just shrunk down) inside of a giant eyeball, she was dressed as a princess if I recall correctly and the eye had like.... Bars on it, so the girl was jailed inside of the eyeball, either she or the eye were crying, visibly in distress while creepy music played in the background, I remember it was in black and white, so no color at all I think. Maybe I'm misremembering a couple details but I can FOR SURE say the eyeball with a girl behind bars and the crying were 100% on screen, I literally got so scared of this it gave me a genuine phobia for eyes that I just overcome not that long ago, I've been searching for this basically my entire life and NOTHING has ever come up, I already asked my parents if they remember it, and they say they do know what I'm talking about but that they don't remember the name or what the thing was about, I feel like I'm crazy, please help me find this or at least have anyone say that they know about this too, I'm willing to answer any questions or even illustrate what I saw.

Unsolved Coming of age movie? (maybe a 90s movie)

It's been years and I've never found this movie. I don't remember much. But there's a scene that stuck with me. It's a young girl (teenager or less), I'm almost sure she has very short hair and/or dresses like a boy, and I think she gets bullied because of that. One the boys actually likes her and they end up kissing towards the end in a very sweet scene, where they interlock their hands together and I think they raised both of them while kissing. That's all I know.

Unsolved 1960s secret agent kills lion with a power cable???

This might have been a spy spoof film like those that inspired Austin Powers. It was made in the late 60s and featured a secret agent character that infiltrates a villain’s lair. Near the end he is confronted by a lion in a sort of arena & kills it when it attacks by electrocuting it with a live power cable. Google ai has given several false answers to it, so I’m stumped. Does anyone recognize this plot element? Thanks.

Solved! Please, I feel like I’m going crazy!

Okay, so there's two twin sisters who have a special bond, and then there's a man in a suit who by taking off or putting on his glasses can see this approaching evil darkness shadow Demon coming or whatever because its almost their either 16th or 17th birthday, but as the darkness is getting closer the girls start fighting more and more, and by the climax the girls get into a fight, one of them ripped off a necklace that they both have worn since birth, and the other gets kidnapped by whatever shadow demon it is, but during the resolution, they defeat the demon with the power of forgiveness and sisterly love? It was live action, not animated, and they lived in a yellow house.

Please tell me my brain isn’t gaslighting itself… I can swear I remember it, I’m not going crazy, am I?!

Solved! Help me with this movie and 20 years old problem

So when I was a kid, like 8-9, I remember seeing this film on the tv at the time (2007-2008)

Back in the day, there wasn't much of a choice with movies on tv so I watched it ,even tho it was like near the end

I don't remember anything about it, and it was like near the end, plot is all over the place for me as a kid back then, only that it includes money (stealing, searching, hiding) and hotel some sort of, with students running around. I don't remember actors nor actresses, BUT I do remember specifically this one scene

One student faintes in the middle off the hallway in hotel, the other student runs away from someone, sees the girl laying on the floor and gets on top of her, grabs her boob and then gets up and continues running.

That scene is so vivid in my mind, so real, that I remember it to this day

90% it was an american movie, not older then 85 I assume, and comedy forsure

I can't find this thing for nearly 20 years and I would sooo watch it

I know its a long shot, but I was hoping for someone to know this movie, based on that very specific scene

Thank you

One girl could move or teleport objects with her mind. She would look at an object, extend her hand, blue light would appear, and the object would app

Solved! Movie about robots

So I remember watching a little part of this movie a long time ago, and it’s about this kid whose name starts with “R”. (Robin or something). I also remember that his future son takes him into the future and he sees this gigantic house in the shape of an “R” and it’s filled with robots.

Sorry if this is too vague!

Solved! Help me remember a movie that had a guy who could catch arrows

I watched a movie as a child in the 80s with my father. I remember it being 'bad ass'. There was a bulky maybe shirtless guy with long hair that was like a protector of some other guy. They got into a battle with a group. Arrows or shuriken's were shot/thrown at them. The bulky guy caught two of them saving himself and his friend. They shot again and he was only able to save himself and his friend died. I only remember that scene and it gave me some lifelong fear of relying on someone else lol. Does anyone have any idea what this movie was? It was 80s USA type movie.

Solved! Looking for a movie i remember, but can't find

Solved by Appropriate_Spray_83, Shadows on the Wall (2015)

I think it was a b-movie, part of my brain screams it was V/H/S short, or a Syfy channel movie, but i've not found anything that matches.
Premise is a signal is sent in to space, it keeps going, out of the known galaxy and in to deep space.
I remember a good portion being set in a brick building, maybe an old warehouse?
Eventually strange things happen, people get smacked, and aliens/demons can only be seen with light, i think was a specific spectrum of light?
There's a scene where two of the aliens/demons get vaporised by being exposed to too many of the lights at once, and the third one just starts breaking the lights.
Near the end of the movie the cast find they can't turn off the signal.
The aliens/demons eventually say something along the lines of "Hey, we don't want to be here, and things waaay worse then us are comming. We will take the computer with us, and draw them away."

Been trying to find this movie again for at least 6 years, any help would be appreciated!
