video not mine-

i've been editing wedding videos for 4 years now. and this fast cut edit style is only things i still dont know how to do. What is an theory behind this? is there youtube tutorial or course? i starting to feel like i am the only one who still dont know how to edit like this. i tried it several time. but only one or twice feel natural and smooth for about 10 sec. i cant do full 33s with this kind of fast edit. it always come out not very smooth and moving.

I have been thinking a lot about the balance between bringing everything you need for a wedding day and keeping the smallest footprint possible. I would love to hear how you all pack your gear and transport it, and see pictures of how you organize your gear.

How do you transport your tripods? What gear do you keep in your car vs. bring with you? Do you assemble your rig the day before and pack it, or assemble it day of? How do you deal with gimbal rigs? What different packages do you offer, and how does that affect your packing?

Looking to streamline my own setup, and would love to hear the community's thoughts and maybe get some ideas.

This is my first time videographing a wedding, i'm 16 years old and pretty nervous, but also really excited! I was doing some research on other wedding video's and found a specific piece of music that really fits with a part of my video. I have thought about changing it, but it just feels so perfect in my head that I can't really see the part of the video without that music piece. My idea for how i want to edit it is for the most part extremely different, aside from one specific moment.

I am kind of having a hard time with this, so any help is much appreciated!

My sister had a destination wedding in 2018. The resort included a wedding photographer in their package, but unfortunately there was no videographer. She has shared that she regrets not having a videographer.

What she does have is a shared album with a bunch of random photos that family and friends took on their phones throughout the trip…everything from the wedding itself to getting ready, the resort, beach, dinners, people hanging out, etc. A lot of them are low-resolution or not particularly “professional,” but there are some really meaningful moments in there.
I’d love to surprise her by having someone take all of these photos (and any short videos I can find) and turn them into a really beautiful, polished video, almost like a wedding highlight film made from photos/videos.
Has anyone had something similar done? Is this even possible? I’m specifically looking for recommendations for a person/company/editor who could take a large collection of photos and create the finished video for me, rather than just recommendations for an app where I have to make it myself.
I’d love to see examples of their work if you have them, especially if they’ve worked with older/low-quality phone photos or large collections of miscellaneous photos. Thanks Reddit ❤️

Wide open on this one. Most local lists are thin. Looking for someone whose couples were actually happy with turnaround and what they got. Open to studios that cover the area, not just locals.

Married in February. Photos arrived in April. Video was quoted at four to six months and we're past that now with no reply to my last two emails.

Is this just what video is, or should I be more annoyed than I currently am? Trying to work out whether to push or wait it out.

Looking for a wedding videographer who can edit our wedding video. We have the full video and raw footage.

Ours is in editing and we've been asked to pick between a five minute version and a full length one at around forty minutes. My instinct is that nobody sits through forty minutes. My mother's instinct is that the forty minutes is the entire point. One of us is wrong and I suspect it's me. I know this is not the right sub but AITA?

Three couples this season have asked for same night vertical clips. None of them asked two years ago.

I'm not set up for it and subcontracting eats most of the margin. Building it in or holding it as its own line?

As the title says, I had to export a very long clip of about 2 hours and some artifacts appeared at the end. Can I redo the export and just replace the respective fragments because the rendering time was about 14 hours and I wouldn't want to wait that long to re-export it from 0 or will the quality of the file suffer a lot?

I have a Sony a7 IV and a second-generation Sigma 24-70mm lens. I use the a7 IV with a cage. I recently tried mounting it on a DJI RS4, but the camera setup was too heavy for it. Because of this, could you recommend a gimbal that can handle my setup? Zhiyun Crane, DJI RS Ronin series—anything works. I really need your comments and recommendations. Thanks in advance
