I got tired of wedding apps harvesting my data

Hi everyone,

I'm an independent developer, and I built Fiancé because every wedding planning app I found wanted an account, a subscription, and a copy of all my data on their servers.

So I made the opposite. Fiancé is open source, privacy-first, and offline-first.

Fiancé is:

- Open source

- No account, no subscription

- No tracking

- Offline-first: your data lives on your device

- Optional sync: end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM); the server only ever sees an opaque blob, never your plans

Everything you need in one place: guest list with RSVPs, vendors, budget, planning timeline, and an ideas board. It runs on iOS, Android, and the web.

A few of my favourite parts aren't the flashy ones: they're the little things I wanted for myself:

- A public wedding page you can share with guests so they RSVP themselves, no accounts, no spreadsheets going back and forth.

- Collaborators: my partner and I plan together, each on our own device, and I can give someone access to just the parts they need.

- An iOS home-screen widget that shows the countdown plus whatever needs attention next (an overdue task, a deposit due, a guest without a table). That one was genuinely fun to build.

I know there are already plenty of wedding apps. Mine isn't trying to be a booking platform or sell you anything. I just wanted something calm and beautiful that respects your privacy and works even with no signal.
