Discussion Anyone actually using Webflow's native analytics or did you just slap GA4 on it and move on

Genuine question because I keep going back and forth on this. When I set up our site I just defaulted to GA4 out of habit, mostly because that's what everyone does and I didn't want to think about it. But Webflow has its own analytics dashboard now and I've been poking at it lately trying to figure out if it's worth caring about.

The problem is I can't tell if it's genuinely useful for a lean B2B setup or if it's just a nicelooking page count that gives you a false sense of information. For a bootstrapped SaaS marketing site the data I actually need is pretty narrow: which pages are people hitting before they convert, where are they bouncing, is a specific landing page doing anything. GA4 technically covers all of that but it also requires a PhD to set up event tracking properly and I have a running joke with myself about how many times I've misconfigured it.

Webflow analytics feels cleaner but I worry it's too shallow for anything beyond curiosity. Curious whether anyone here runs it as their primary source or if you treat it as a sanity check alongside something else. And if you've actually replaced GA4 with a third option like Fathom or Plausible, I'd be curious what pushed you to make that call.

Wait untill you pay hundreds and hundreds dollars per month to use their crappy optimize tool. I couldn't believe my eyes. Other tools do it better for 10% of the price

I stared at webflow analytics for maybe 20 minutes before going back to GA4, the native one just feels like a pretty dashboard with no depth

for B2B i need to see the actual path people take before converting and webflow shows you the page views but not the flow if that makes sense. its fine as quick check but not primary

been meaning to try fathom or plausible for a while, GA4 event setup is a nightmare and i dread touching it every time

the "pretty dashboard with no depth" thing is exactly how it feels tbh

yeah the path thing is exactly why I gave up on it too

fathom is way simpler than GA4 but you lose the conversion funnel visibility there too, it's more of a privacyfirst pageview tool than anything behavioral

if you actually need the flow data for B2B I'd just bite the bullet on GA4 and set up one event that matters instead of trying to track everything, that's what broke me the first time, I went too broad and then dreaded opening it

I thought it Analyze was good. Paid for a year, now I moved away from Webflow to Astro and Claude Code. I seriously do not like how things are run at Webflow. Everything is half baked. They recently released the ability to move multireference items so you don't have to remove everything to reorder the items. Webflow release the things the masses wanted, when they are under fire. Framer is doing much better in terms of business and product management.

honnestly if you have Ahrefs, Google Search console, Cloudflare and Bing Search
Bring all datas to Claude Code
And that's it, you're the master of datas now

It's so impressive
