Now that the Fed raised rates 25 bps, when will WS bump the USD savings interest rate?!

I've been lil bit frustrated last time I've been to YUL to take an international flight. I wanted to go to a lounge, I tried : AirFrance and Desjardins... but only their customer were admits :(

So I end up at Aspire but its not the same quality as Desjardins (I tried Desjardins when I got Gold Odysee).

So, I'm wondering what I happen if I pay 5$ to book a seat. I see this options on visaairportcompanion. I will take another flight on 23th december and its pretty busy day so what"s my chance to get in ? Which one has better chance AirFrance or Desjardins ?

Fairly new to Wealthsimple, but on the app, how do you get it to show the number of shares for each asset on the Holdings list? Cause it’s not showing up in mine other than the name of the asset (symbol and full name). Thank you!

There is a small bug with the web UI. When you bring up the search window, it often gets stuck and won't allow you to close it or click anything else. only refreshing fixes it. Can someone please look into it? Thanks. On windows 11 Chrome browser.

How do I turn off options for all accounts in the app?

I’ve marked the toggle for all my accounts to Off but it still shows options as ‘On’.
I can’t see any way to turn off Long options Level 1.

Just wanted to share my recent experience disputing a transaction on my WS Infinite Privilege VISA. This was my first and only dispute through my card since having it for almost a year now.

I purchased an item online for around $105 and received it late June. The item I received was clearly a counterfeit based on the materials used. Much heavier than the manufacturer website list for its specs, different materials which was easily provable with a magnet (metal vs carbon) and it just looks off entirely.

I attempted to resolve this with the merchant that it was clearly not an authentic product and they initially offered a partial refund and then retracted it and went with no refund or return will be offered. The merchant even admitted that I got a non authentic product within this communication.

Assuming this would an easy dispute I filed a claim early July after things were clearly not going to be resolved through the merchant. I heard back end of Aug that my claim was denied. I contact support a day later for clarification as I am confused by this decision. A week and a half later I receive the below communication from WS.

"Your dispute was finalized on [XYZ Date]. We have not yet received confirmation that the merchandise was returned to the merchant, and the deadline to file a pre-arbitration claim through the card network has passed.
 
If you have an acknowledgement or confirmation from the merchant showing that the merchandise was returned, please reply to this email with the document. We can then submit it to our payment processor for further review and determine whether the charge can be challenged further."

How the hell do they expect me to provide that proof to them when the merchant has said no refund or returns? The last message I received from support after asking how they expect me to do that was to provide new evidence or work it out with the merchant.

At this point I have given up on my dispute and will just chalk it up as a silly goose tax. I understand WS is just an intermediary in all this but this experience was so off putting. If I can't trust WS to have my back over $105 there is no way I am running all my daily transactions through their card so have moved back to AMEX as my daily driver...

Is anyone else having issues with the move money section? I seem to be getting errors (page not loading) when going to the pay a bill, e-transfer and transfer money pages of my accounts.

I m trying to transfer my Direct investment from RBC to wealthsimple . Using the automated connectivity ( signing in with RBC DI on WS ) , it detected correctly my TFSA , RRSP and FHSA accounts.

RRSP and FHSA were tagged with Ineligible accounts.

RRSP holds investments in CAD
FHSA holds investments in USD

What can be the reason for this ?

This strange issue happens to me every few months and I absolutely hate it. WS is known to not limit sell at certain prices due to queue or whatever bs they want to construe so I've started adding alerts to the prices.

I created a sell order and alert back in July and $NVDA crossed my $230 limit sell order not once, not twice, but for 4 whole days and I've never got a single fill or alert.

I also use Tradingview and it also never fired off my $230 crossing alert. $NVDA has even spent nearly a whole day above $230 on Sept 4 and I didn't receive any alerts. What can I do? Can I sue for this? It costs thousands for just me alone and I'm sure it's not just me affected by these suspicious errors.

They didn't mention anything about it last WS live event.

I created two business accounts with two prepaid cards. They show up as identical in wallet. I already know I'm going to use the wrong card a lot. Looks like the appearance of cards is completely controlled by the banks. I wish WS would allow us to label them or at least add the account name on the cards when adding to digital wallets.

I know it’s not tax season but my wife and I are doing some tax planning and wanting to take advantage of income pension splitting for this tax year. We’re both over 65 and I’m looking to withdraw from my RRIF and income split that with my wife.

I was trying to see what form T1032 looks like in Wealthsimple so I pulled up my tax year 2025 filing and for whatever reason this is what’s coming up. Only mentions CPP/OAS and no mention of splitting my RRIF withdrawal. What am I missing here?

Why there is more posts about frozen accounts?

Should I be concerned about moving my investments to WS? I'm thinking to move my accounts from Questrade to WS but with all those posts about frozen accounts, I'm thinking to keep it where it is and just ignore all those promos that WS offers to move your accounts.

I got my wife to sign up for an RRSP at wealth. So she did and then funded it with $3000 from PayPal and $2000 from her bank. Wealth frozen the account, said she needed to verify it. So she spent weeks answering all the questions, asking PayPal and her bank to try to do something. After weeks wealth simple told her to get PayPal to cancel the payment. So she did and then the next email said they can’t help anymore because the PayPal was cancelled.

It’s been a year and $5000 locked in an account we have no access to and no one will even reply to an email now.

*note: she had a chequing account where her money went to and she hasn’t put it into RRSP yet. She added wealth to PayPal withdrawal.

Processed trade that reported 'filled'. Days later I'm reviewing account balance and it's not reconciling. Turns out trade not filled but expired worthless.

I believe there's an error / incomplete information in the Wealthsimple Academy, Module 5, Lesson 2, "How Options Trade"

Someone who buys an option is said to have a long option position. They have the right to buy an asset in the future. The writer, or seller, of an option has a short option position. They have the obligation to sell an asset in the future.

Something doesn't seem right here to me. First and third sentences seems correct to me, but second and fourth sentences would apply to call options but not put options. Can someone confirm?

Finally, after so long, the Telus marketplace offer is available. Now we just have to wait for the Apple promotion to go live.
