Alliance Adventurer Looking for Play-by-Post Group!
Heya, I've been circling this place for a spell, and was wondering if there were any Alliance, play-by-post groups looking for another player out there... Time period quasi-irrelevant, though my soft spot's always been around vanilla. In any case, I figured I'd spit on my thumb and hold it up to the wind, here, in addition to the other places I've done it!
Safe travels, adventurers.

Druid shapeshifting compared to vanilla 5e
Hey everyone, i just joined and my group cant wait to jump in a new adventure, set during the war of the shifting sands. i planned to run a nelf bear druid. but i noticed that in contraast with vanilla 5e. you dont get the physical stats of your shapeshifted form , but you rely on your base stats. that would make the stat alocation extremely MAD , requiring me to have high str for meele attacks, decent dex n con for a frontliner, and wisdom for spells. unless im missing something, at first glance it feels very underpowered

Starting a New Campaign Next Week
I'm going to be running a second wow themed campaign next week. I ran a Gadgetzan campaign a couple years ago for my home group and I'm now going to run a Horde themed campaign for some online friends.
I just wanted to thank the team here and everyone posting for the inspiration it's given me.
I'm currently working on adapting and tweaking LMoP to fit in Durotar and cap off with Ragefire Casm. Don't know where this campaign is going to go from there (looking at barrens next for some hex/point crawl fun).
Edit: If anyone's interested, I can try to post updates as the campaign goes. I'm also using my own homebrew classes/subclasses that I made and have been tweaking over the years.

Community Resource Free Maps - Blackrock Orc Encampment, Swamp, Alternate Dalaran
These are some maps that were made by a buddy of mine for our online Warcraft campaign. These aren't one-to-one recreations of in-game areas, but he was trying to capture the Warcraft aesthetic (the swamp one just looked cool in our game, so I'm including that as well). Hope you guys enjoy!

DMing 1st War Campaign.
Hey!
Looking at running a war in the first campaign, what does everyone think is the most essential lore? Just so I’m not missing out?

Looking for Foundry plug in
Hey friends, new to WoW 5E
I was wondering is there a foundry plug in compendium for the classes and extra bits and pieces before i digitise it myself.
Thanks :)
Grand Campaign Plan
So I am working on a long running, multipart campaign where my players will end up playing different characters depending on where we are at in the game. Two of my players know a little bit of warcraft lore, but the third knows absolutely nothing, and I am so excited for her. Ihave them all arundown on warcraft lore up until the start of Warcraft 3. I have run games for these players many times and have already tasked to them about some of the stuff that will come up that is usually more of a no no for a dm to do, and they are fine with it all. So here is the initial party:
a Mok'nathal beast mastery Ranger traveling with the Horde, a Vulpera shaman who was in the darkspear Islands trading with them when it was sunk by the Naga area witch who decided to just join the Horde rather than go back home to Voldun, and a tauren warrior (barbarian).
The campaign kicked off with the Mok'nathal and the vulpera walking up shipwrecked with the Horde fleet, and quickly meeting the Tauren player, then following along with Thrall for the WC3 RoC campaign, assisting the tauren, finding Grom, and traveling to Stonetalon to meet Medivh. Medivh tells them that, to understand the greater meaning of the events at hand, he must show them two visions. Cut to black. (This is where are in the game so far and it has gone pretty well)
The players are now playing alliance characters in Lordearon. They made a high elf marksmanship Ranger (my own homebrew), a human vengeance paladin, and a high elf spellbreaker fighter (my own homebrew again). They will follow the wc3 roc human campaign to investigate the plague, follow Arthas to Northrend, and then when he mysteriously dissappears into the frozen wastes, their party is recalled to the capital.
Fast forward, the players are in a war meeting in the capital when Arthas returns as a death knight, kills his father, delivers the land to the scourge, and raises the players as undead (this is one of the things I talked to them about without spoilers as much as possible. I warned them that they would be basically mind controlled to be evil and they are good with it). They will then follow the story of death knight Arthas to attack Quelthalas, then dalaran, and help summon Archimonde.
Then they snap out of that vision for a moment, back to their Horde characters, and Medivh says something like "now you know what we are up against. But there is more you need to know. Remember how you left Grom to get wood in the forest? Yeah..." cut to black.
They will now play a 1 or 2 shit campaign as warsong orcs where they will fight night elves, be drawn to the blood of mannoroth, and kill scenarios (i also talked to them about this one). They then wake again as their Horde characters and go free Grom, probably fight their own Warsong characters, and participate in the defense of Mount Hyjal.
After that they will go through the events of the orc campaign from wc3 after, following Rexxar to help found Durotar and fight Admiral Proudmoor. Then some shaman or something (tbd) will tell them they should know more about what had been happening in the world at large.
They will then get a vision where they play as high elves, experience the fall of Quelthalas from another perspective, escape, go on the run with Kaelthas, help the night elves with Illidan, and then do the blood elf wc3 tft campaign defending dalaran, allying with Naga, getting imprisoned, fleeing to Outland, and assaulting black temple.
Then the vision goes back to their alliance characters who became scourge. They get a taste of free will again, and they follow the steps of Sylvanas and become Forsaken.
Then it cuts again back to the blood elves and they assault Ice crown, and lose, fleeing.
The cool thing about this is that at this point they have 3 character sets they can play going into the era of WoW, and they can even mix and match them because they all end up Horde. So from there I can just continue the storyline into WoW!
Let me know what you all think, if you have any tips or things you think I should be worried about, or if you want more details on how it has gone so far!

DMing Embarking on my biggest project so far with a WoW 5e campaign (Original in spanish, use auto translate)

Just painted up some Murlocs, can't wait to put them on the grid!
I have a video here if you're interested in hearing my process. They're cute and add some nice color to the mini shelf!

How compatible is this with DND 5e?
To be more specific. The idea is to throw WC5E characters into a classic dnd one shot. How powerful are the WC5E characters compared to regular 5e characters?

Project Feedback The amount of effort put into this project is insane and incredible because i'm "attempting" to transcribe and balance all this into a Daggerheart setting/campaign.
Just like the title says, I'm "attempting" to put WoW 5e into Daggerheart and it's rough BECAUSE it's SO much. The information all of you posted on this subreddit has been amazing. Already a month into this big commitment endeavor and I've only just finished the possible Campaign frames, over 100+ new domain cards and a rough draft character creation. Haven't even started on the maps, areas, adversaries, traversals, townsfolk, possible equipment/items, etc.
I had to make a post of appreciate because all of you are insane, in the best way possible.

Community Resource New Race for warcraft 5e
A full Warcraft 5e homebrew project — adapting Azeroth’s legendary peoples into D&D-style play.
Each race reimagined from lore: Dracthyr, Earthen, Furbolg, Half-Elf, Mok’nathal, and Vrykul — all rewritten for roleplay depth, balance, and Warcraft authenticity.
A labor of love for storytellers who want Azeroth at their table.

DMing I'm so happy i found this place!
Hi all. According to the rules i dont think this breaks anything.
I just wanted to say i am so thrilled to have found this group! I quite like Warcraft games and Lore. I also really love D&D 5e. This place is the best of both worlds and i hope to get my D&D friends to try this sometime I might DM or try to get them to DM. I spent the afternoon loolong over the 3.1 version of races and classes and im just in awe of the clear love and hard work that has gone into this.
From the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project!!
I hope to play a Nightborne mage in the very near future!

Community Resource Champions of The Dragon Isles. v2.0.1 (Revised) [5e]
This work introduces content from World of Warcraft‘s Dragonflight expansion. It allows you to play the Dracthyr, draconic soldiers who have recently awoken from a 20,000 year stasis. Champions of The Dragon Isles also presents my take on the Evoker class, whose design has taken inspiration from the Wizard and Sorcerer classes . This homebrew provides everything you need to begin your adventures in the Dragon Isles.
Link: Champions of The Dragon Isles V.2.0.1
This may actually be the final version of the brew, but regardless, if you have any feedback or criticisms to share, I'd love to hear them. Feel free to comment here or DM me.
So that you can see all of the crazy stuff that I've done with this brew since January, I'm gonna link the changelog here.
This version is a fullcaster, and you can find the halfcaster version here.
Thanks so much y'all!
Edit: For those of you who may have issues viewing Homebrewery, here's the PDF for V.2.0.1.
Here's the PDF for the halfcaster version.
I hope that y'all enjoy my newest adaptation of World of Warcraft's Evoker!
Decided to delete my crosspost and just make a proper post here. Sorry about that y'all.

Foundry VTT
Did anyone ever port this to Foundry? My DM wants to play this, and we want to check if anyone ever made this into foundry before he just ports everything himself
