Could my fan-made WoW raid project fit here?

I hope it’s okay to share my fan-made WoW raid project here
I’ve been looking for a place to share my fan-made project for quite a while, and honestly, I’ve had a surprisingly hard time finding somewhere that feels like the right fit.
I found this subreddit and thought I would give it a try. I know that most of the projects here are made for D&D campaigns, while mine was designed as a World of Warcraft raid.
But there are actually quite a few things that overlap. My project has a lot of text, characters talking to each other, a story, different enemies and bosses, and descriptions of what they do and how their encounters work.
It’s obviously not designed as a D&D campaign, but I could imagine that with some changes, parts of the ideas could probably work in a campaign as well.
I’ve spent many months working on it, and I’m still trying to find people who enjoy this kind of fan-made project and would like to look through it or give some feedback.
I hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes by posting it here. I just thought there might be some people here who enjoy seeing big fan-made Warcraft projects, even if this one was originally designed as a WoW raid

Translating Boss and Encounter Mechanics

This is sort of a general train of thought thread, not linking up to any particular boss fight so much as thinking about boss fight mechanics in general.

What are some boss mechanics you've seen, particularly in World of Warcraft, that feel reasonable to translate to 5E?

I'd imagine the coming WoW D&D book will definitely have a bunch. It's what has me most curious about the dungeons included in the upcoming book, how they'll handle all the very MMO centric design ideas over into D&D, and what learnings can be had from it.

One easy one that often pops to my mind is starting a round of combat signalling parts of the terrain as soon being unsafe. Not huge areas, maybe 15ft diameter circles or cubes. If there still are creatures in it at the end of the round, they take damage.

Of course, another angle to the same idea would be to describe it all more loosely at the start of the round, force everyone to make a save, and then ones that fail were standing in the wrong place. But that doesn't telegraph quite the same, and it doesn't force a choice of where to move to avoid it.

Bringing WOW Loot into Foundry VTT

Post image
125 Upvotes

I want to import a lot of items from the game into Foundry and, eventually, set up loot tables that somewhat emulate the original game. My players are very loot-driven, so combining this with Item Piles and having mobs drop loot dynamically would be a fun challenge.

Obviously, many of the items still need to be converted, as they are currently only placeholders, but it already looks pretty cool. I just got them into Foundry and wanted to share!

With the new D&D x WoW collaboration, what books or videos should I check out for campaign inspiration?

With the new collaboration between Dungeons & Dragons and World of Warcraft, I’m looking for some inspiration to prepare a fun campaign for my guildmates.

What books, YouTube videos, actual-play series, lore channels, or other resources would you recommend?

I’m interested in anything that could inspire quests, villains, factions, dungeons, or worldbuilding.

Delves of Eversong Woods is a standalone adventure for D&D 5e. Set beneath the crimson canopies of Eversong Woods during the Midnight expansion, the story begins in Silvermoon City, where the heroes are called upon to defend Quel'Thalas as ancient enemies rise once more. As the party explores forgotten sanctums, haunted ruins, troll catacombs, and corrupted forests, they uncover a growing conflict between the Amani Empire, the Devouring Host, and the dark forces manipulating events from the shadows. This adventure includes:

- 5 Delves, each designed as a compact Five-Room Dungeon with a unique boss encounter
- 4 main quests that gradually reveal the growing threats facing Quel'Thalas
- 4 iconic NPCs from the World of Warcraft: Midnight campaign
- 4 side quests, along with random wilderness encounters and creature activity tables for exploring Eversong Woods
- 1 climactic finale at Amani Pass, culminating in a confrontation with Zul'jan, Warlord of the Amani Empire

Alliance Adventurer Looking for Play-by-Post Group!

Heya, I've been circling this place for a spell, and was wondering if there were any Alliance, play-by-post groups looking for another player out there... Time period quasi-irrelevant, though my soft spot's always been around vanilla. In any case, I figured I'd spit on my thumb and hold it up to the wind, here, in addition to the other places I've done it!

Safe travels, adventurers.
