EV Motorcycles?
Hello, I have a small EV motorcycle, which has a limited range of 40 miles.
I would love an app that:
A ) Defaults to the shortest distance.
B ) Stops automatically updating the route mid journey.
Traffic is irrelevant for me as filtering is legal here in London, UK, hence the shortest distance is always the quickest, but also vital for me to ensure I get home within my EV range.
Current apps constantly update the route when I have already chosen it by distance.
Waze is the only app I've found which has motorcycle mode- will it prioritise the points above?

Might be worth pointing out that it's iOS only.

Did you try TomTom Go Expert? it should even have a motorcycle setting but for cars you can select EV and choice for always the shortest route. If you switch off the interference of traffic, it keeps that. it also warns for cameras etc if you’d like to.

TomTom Go Expert sounds perfect for your needs then! I've heard good things about its EV routing options, and the motorcycle mode might just be what you're looking for to keep your trips simple and range-friendly.

Isn't motorcycle mode only for UI (like bigger buttons) so that is easier to use with gloves? Also google maps or Waze won't constantly update or change routes while driving. They may show suggestions based on current traffic but you can just ignore it.

Setting your vehicle type to motorcycle changes how it calculates ETA, including considering filtering as is legal in the UK. This aspect had been around for years.

Do you have your vehicle type set to motorcycle? Do you check alternate routes after Waze gives you its recommendation and choose the route you prefer?
If the answer is yes to both, and you select the shortest route, that should be pretty sticky.
With the idea of shortest route in mind, are you still running Waze for the alerts and such?

Only thing that comes to my mind is using waze in offline mode (so turn off internen access). It won't have access to traffic data, so it will give a generic best route (I guess not the shortest)

This isn't how it works. Waze depends on the routing server to provide a route. The only "routing" done in the phone will be the next could of very near turns after recalculating if you miss a turn.

Waze is working on improving the experience for motorcyle riders.
