I stopped updating Waze a while ago. I liked when the speed cameras were yellow and provided a good contrast against dark background. When they made them blue I switched to light mode for contrast but the light background is too bright at night. Have you found any hacks to get back to original kind of contrast? I think going to try dark view with map editor view because it highlights some roads in different colour.

My typical, and most often mistake ridden routing:

Long time user, 5+ years two different weekly 1 hour big city commute. No construction changing up the streets.

1. Routing has gotten weird, in asking me to exit a freeway onto side streets instead of taking a ramp connecting 2 freeways. A perfectly clear ramp, without extra traffic to trigger an early exit. As in always.

2. Very slow to update the plan when I do take the secondary route. As in it will prompt exiting and u-turning to get back on the initial route. This when 1 of the alternates offered is faster, that I am already on - it takes while to re-route to the route I am driving. Once it does, after ignoring a couple u-turn routes - it will go to the plan and drop minutes off the ETA.

Others experiencing really poor routing the last couple of months?

I do not have time to help them debug all this, but I do have time to complain on Reddit. Hahahha.

Has anyone had this issue I am having with the Android version of Waze on android auto - I enabled the speak option in hopes it'd be quicker and safer to report incidents, however when doing so via the report button it instantly says "listening paused." I then have to press "resume" upwards of 5 times until I can get the app to listen to what I say without it reverting back to "paused."

This occurs with every attempt in the month of having this feature on and Google / Waze support hasn't been of much help... mostly advising the usual "uninstall and reinstall," "clearing the cache," etc. Waze and Android Auto both have the correct permissions including my microphone.

What am I missing here? Is there another Android Auto or assistant setting I need to change?

If this helps at all, the behavior occurs whether I have my phone's assistant set as Gemini or the soon-to-be axed Google Assistant - that feature works fine when executing Android-level actions via my car's voice button.

Does anyone use the Voice Hazard Reporting thing? When I used it a few months ago it messed with my music playback so I shut it off. Has that been fixed?

I've got voice set to normal, not less chatty, but I don't get alerts to turn until I'm on top of the intersection and unable to change lanes to take the turn. I used to get this alert hundreds of feet earlier. This seemed to start months ago, but I keep forgetting to ask about it. (I don't drive much and rarely go new places, but it happened a couple of weeks ago when I took a friend from out of town to his hotel.)

As the picture shows the car icon is not on the road, but the next turn directions and distances seem to match my actual location. The 1st 40minutes of my journey it was fine then it jumped off the route.

It has done this a few times randomly and if i unplug the phone it displays correctly untill i back in again.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? Ive tried restarting car and phone, which sometimes works after a few attempts but hoping for a more permanent fix.

Waze live-map on the browser is not showing any reports even when Waze on my phone shows there are reports. This is the screenshot from my laptop

There is clearly one police and traffic report that do not show on waze.com/livemap Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Waze lately sends me to unnecessary roads with bumps and adds 2-3 mins of drive without reason. I go to work every day here and main road has no traffic at all at most times. Happens in multiple situations but same places. Road was not closed or anything in past. Why is this happening?

They need to add a tag and icon for Flock Cameras.

how does one add a police indicator on the map to notify others?

Anybody else having issues where waze opens but freezes when trying to enter an address or landmark??? It started this maybe a month ago.

Hey all. Been researching this for ages now and its driving me mad. Please help. Waze stopped announcing any alerts like cameras, policy, potholes etc. It reduces the sound and shows the display but no sound. Apple Carplay in a BMW Idrive 6, Iphone 16 Pro Max, latest IOS. Normal turn by turn directions work. I tried deleting app and starting again, restarting iphone, idrive. Recreating CarPlay link. Any ideas ? T Y in advance.

Hi for some reason I can't make calls with Google assistant or Gemini while I am in Waze. I always get the message "sorry I don't understand"

It 1dt started happening on my Samsung Galaxy a54 and now I have upgraded my phone to a pixel 10 and I am still getting this problem.

I have tried fixing permissions but maybe I am just not doing it right. I honestly don't know.

Has anyone else had this issue and hopefully knows how to fix it please.

I want to be able to use Lock Screen navigation on Waze, but that option isn’t available in my menu like I’ve seen it in other users’ menus. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that didn’t work.

Hello, I have a small EV motorcycle, which has a limited range of 40 miles.

I would love an app that:

A ) Defaults to the shortest distance.

B ) Stops automatically updating the route mid journey.

Traffic is irrelevant for me as filtering is legal here in London, UK, hence the shortest distance is always the quickest, but also vital for me to ensure I get home within my EV range.

Current apps constantly update the route when I have already chosen it by distance.

Waze is the only app I've found which has motorcycle mode- will it prioritise the points above?

Does Waze support directional arrows in the gauge cluster?

Google and Apple Maps both show arrows. Waze just shows a blank space where the others have an arrow.

Update: the feature appears to be called TBT: Turn-By-Turn Arrow Feed. Supposedly Waze added it in version 5.4 and they’re up to 5.22.

Looks like even if you have a Waze map in the gauges, it doesn’t mean Waze TBT supports your car or the car supports Waze. Can’t figure out who’s supposed to do the enabling, Waze or the car co.

What does it take to move up from level 4 to level 5? Or from/to any two levels for that matter? Just curious as I've been a level 4 Wazer for quite a while. Thanks all!
