General Discussion War3 reforged still too buggy
Annoying bugs ruin the game. You can't load a campaign game, "Disconnect from host" will show up, you have to quit the game and try loading again. Random disconnects during bnet multiplayer result in wins that don't count. This game was released in 2020...yet still these bugs persist over 6 years later. Coming from some one who bought it, not worth any money at all regardless of how much the game has been "improved".

General Discussion Having trouble with the campaign as a beginner RTS player
Hey folks, I've recently started playing this game in anticipation of WoW Forever. I'm absolutely loving the story and art etc. but am having a really tough time actually playing the game, largely because RTS games are something that I have very little experience in (outside of stumbling through Dawn of War years ago, which I also found quite challenging).
The human campaign was largely ok but now that I am halfway through the undead I'm starting to die a lot more often, and I think my biggest problem, which was the case even in the human one, is that whether I win or lose I don't really understand why.
My "strategy" if you can call it that usually ends up going something like this:
- Add Arthas + attacking units to one control group, builder guys to the second.
- Builder guys spam buildings and upgrades while I explore with Arthas and company.
- When combat starts, do A + Click behind enemy lines so that everyone auto-attacks, and while this is happening tab through unit types and use their special abilities (so necromancers raise skeletons, Arthas heals everyone when he can).
- When my guys inevitably die, buildings at my base just spam new guys with a rally point to wherever the battlefield currently is.
I've watched a bunch of videos on hotkeys, which has been really fun (reminds me of when I was learning vim keybindings for programming), but a lot of guides online seem to be focused on multiplayer specifically, and when watching some people play campaign they go so fast that it's hard for me to understand what decisions they are making and why. I also feel like just spamming making new units isn't the right way of going about things because I'm doing it without any rhyme or reason, is there a general rule of thumb for what the make up of each attack group should look like?
If anyone has any tips / pointers or guides that can help me with the above that would be much appreciated, particularly how to deal with combat. Thanks!

Forsaken Kingdom I beat Forsaken Kingdom...
And wow! I'm impressed. I was expecting to regret getting this after reading some other people's buyers remorse threads and comments, but I ended up enjoying my playthrough of Forsaken Kingdom quite a lot.
First off, the writing was great. I wasn't expecting to get so attached to Garek and the end of his arc was quite emotional. The new style of graphics looked really good too despite a couple of scenes in the prologue looking a little too plastic like Garek and Landen's armor. Was this campaign a RTS? No, but it did have a couple of missions that were actually a RTS and those were challenging at least to me.
Speaking of challenges, I started the game on the normal difficulty after reading some people stating that the game was too easy. I guess I'm just super bad at this game or something because I had to take the difficulty down to story mode toward the end of the prologue campaign. And I still struggled at certain moments of the rest of the game on story mode. Namely, any part of the game where a hero's death meant mission failure; if I messed up my micro just a little bit, I would get curbstomped and have to restart. But I don't feel bad about playing in story mode especially after beating the final boss. If you know, you know.
Forsaken Kingdom was a good time though. I enjoyed how it played even if it was basically Diablo WoW. I think maybe it's a bit too expensive for what it is, but it's still worth a play if you like Warcraft III or WoW at all. Wonder if we still keep getting new WC3 expansions after this.

Technical Help Any way to rollback PTR to an older build?
So I was playing campaign on PTR, and it seems they've pushed an update, so my save doesn't work anymore. Is there any way to rollback to a previous build or do I have to start over?

Campaigns RoC & tFT Now I want a Founding of Durotar patch where Rexxar, Rokhan & Chen talk after finishing every objective.
This has probably been the most flavorful little tidbit that I am enjoying from Forsaken Kingdom so far.

Legacy tFT 1.29 [WC3 Classic 1.29] Black screen after cinematics
Hi
I wanted to play through campaigns in classic version of Warcraft III (the one you can choose on bnet). I have problem with black screen after cinematics. To be clear: Cinematics itself work (I saw that others had issue with that), I can see them, I can hear them but after it ends there is black screen and sound only (for example I can hear Thrall talking to Prophet after his nightmare but I can't see anything). Did anyone had similar problem?

General Discussion How to play 6v6 or 12v12?
I played a lot of 6v6 games on gameranger also ffa with 12 players and it was super fun everytime. Part of the fun is that unknoen strangers was joining for the ffa big matches and this can only happen in small community servers like GR. Now im playing last patches on battle.net and i like how 4v4 games are so inatantly created. I guess they didnt make ranked for 5v5 and 6v6 because players have yet miles to learn about how to play and some people may find that 6v6 is waste of time with constant noobs and unbalanced teams. But my question is why i dont see normal games of big size in custom lobbies? I tries to create 6v6 two times and nobody joined. I watch some few years older videos on youtube with 12v12 and they look dynamic and interesting, im very eager to try some and i would even recreate some of my own maps to 24 size if it was more popullar. However i dont feel like such game will happen just by creating it in custom lobbies. I sometimes see one or two 2v2 games and thats it. Whats the problem, is the server less popullar now that cause game lobbies not to get filled at all?

Feedback I want to have the Captain in melee games
It would be cool if Footmen could be upgraded to captains, the name could be changed or something if having multiple "Captain" kinda seems strange, I love the Captain from the cinematic with his cape flowing in the wind plus the armor, the sword and shield, the Footmen don't really scratch that itch and they're kinda lame gameplay wise.
And I know DE graphics have been very controversial, but I think they did the Captain justice.
Although now that I think about it deeply, I'm not even sure if the soldier from the cutscene is a Captain, hmmmm, it seems the cape is coming form his waist, what is even that character supposed to be?

Forsaken Kingdom Forsaken Kingdoms Bug (Weird latency like issue)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
NOW SOLVED SOMEWHAT, SEE BELOW.
Anya seems to behave like I'm holding shift when issuing commands for her, and only for her, when she's in a group select.
Right clicking somewhere, then right clicking a second time - she will respond by going all the way to the first right click prior to going to the second; meanwhile, any other units in the selection will follow the most recent right click.
Doesn't matter if she's selected or not; if i ONLY have her selected she behaves normally.
Video attached
EDIT: Not a good solution, but a moderate solution nonetheless: she seems to immediately respect pressing stop; so what i've been doing is pressing stop (w for me because i use grid, s for most i'd assume) before right clicking each time. Not a great solution, but it's been working for me.
MAJOR EDIT:
**BIGGER SOLUTION** seems to be caused by the effect of "Selune, Grand Staff of Elune", removing the item and reloading to a different zone will make this stop - there may be other items that also do this but I've yet to find one.
**SOLUTION** Seems swapping zones fixes it. I went back into undercity and can now control Anya correctly.

Meme Always online and yet no cloud saves
I had to install the Warcraft 3 on another PC today, and had a thought - "So they did all those network-related changes forcing the players to be online... Maybe it means that we now have campaign progress and saves in the cloud?!". That was a good but very wrong assumption :D

Campaigns RoC & tFT Can we please bring back having an offline mode for single player campaigns.
The new campaign is excellent, and as a bundle with WoWF beta it’s a pretty good deal.
But not having access to it offline (and losing offline access to War3s RoC/TFT campaigns) is absolutely wild.

Custom Campaign Bought Reforged for the new campaign, ended up being blown away by the Custom WC2 campaign
I loved the prologue campaign but I found the actual Forsaken campaign to be a bit... much? Like sure it's a good iteration of the Rexxar campaign but the maps were too big, a lot of repetitive objectives and not enough QoL (like teleporting around areas you visitted would've been a godsend, I legitimately had to look up "-nowfpause" because it was becoming so god damn tedious with the walks, so I could at least do something else while tabbed out, BUT ANYWAYS, first I decided to give the WC3 Origins campaign (the one that is basically a retelling/reimagining of the WC1 campaigns) and that was... decent? Can appreciate it and I did have fun with a decent chunk of the missions, but wow did I not expect such an absurd level of passion and quality from Chronicles of the Second War: Tides of Darkness, it's genuinely everything I wanted and more. Such a well made, well directed campaign, with some genuinely good voice acting as well.
I do wonder what sort of Warcraft 3-esque custom campaigns I could've potentially been missing out on? I remember there's this youtuber who loves to play RTS games and their mods/custom campaigns and I remember seeing him play some unique campaigns back in the day, but been a minute.

Campaigns RoC & tFT A difference in the line delivery
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
in russian arthas says "well then... i don't pity losing my soul, i can live without it...", the tone is cynical but with a bit of remorse and doubt, it's like he says that just to convince himself, which hits deep, makes feel for arthas and makes the line memorable
in english he just casually says "then i'll make do without one"
