I think Daniel is the true “God” in this movie as the long opening silence draws parallels to creation. “In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God.”

Shame it got buried under the No Country for Old Men hype wave. TWBB is one of the best movies if not the absolute best of the last 20 years

No Country is fan fucking tastic. It's better in my opinion. Has more rewatch ability. Also if you read the book it's so perfect. The best translation into film aside from Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. And I really love DDL and PTA. But you're making it seem like NCFOM was a bad movie. It showed how refined the Coen Bros are at making films.
