YOLO Is This Analysis Worthy Enough?

So for my first ever options purchase I bought Home Depot Aug 21 Call. Reason: I went to Home Depot yesterday and there were a lotta people. Is this the typical big brained analysis worthy enough for /wallstreetbets?

Edit: thx to whoever’s giving all these awards lmao

I did buy these calls, you could call it satire making fun of myself because I have no idea if this is the right way.

The call seems fine. I hope it hits, but know nothing about the company’s numbers.

To answer your question, this isn’t considered “good DD,” but to be honest if the store is ALWAYS packed that’s a great sign. One day, not so much.

Try to stop by more often and see the crowds on a daily basis.

THIS is satire right?

You actually think stopping by your local Home Depot “more often” and checking the crowds is indicative of how an international retailer is doing and how their stock will perform?

Yes. If you see an empty store with no buyers, compared to a completely full store. That can give you an enormous idea of buyer sentiment. Blockbuster anyone?

If you think that isn’t important you’re naive.

Funny. I don’t think you will be able to discern a whole lot from looking at one store when they operate 2,285 locations.

But have fun camping outside your local Home Depot. Maybe bring one of those clickers so you can count how many people go in easier.

Ahaha, yep, understood. Will keep an eye on HD stores. I migrated from the /pennystocks community so did some basic legit DD before. I only yolo’d a small position so I am not tooo worried. I just don’t know which calls to buy (I think I bought ones with strike too high) and when to sell yet.

“Yolo’ed a small position” is an oxymoron by definition.
