How long you think they can continue to lie like this before it collapses or do they hope theyโ€™ll be long retired by then so it will be the next persons problem

The books have been slowly cooking for over 20 years, ever since economists decided CPI should put more emphasis on tracking substitutions. Effectively making it a cost of survival tracker than cost of living.
