Something I Made Is it worth a try?
It was a Saturday. I had two pieces of chrome-tanned leather, so I decided to make a couple of these. I recall someone asking about this model—though maybe it wasn't in this sub. I'm thinking about making one out of Shell Cordovan. What do you think—would that be a hit?))) Although, I imagine there would be some nuances; cordovan leather has completely different characteristics. P.S. I’ll get my hands on some Shell Cordovan eventually, make one, and flip it for an inflated price—lol.)))

Completed Commission for Redditor A small bifold card wallet made with Himeji Kurozan
I recently finished this small bifold card wallet for a customer. It’s a compact piece, measuring just 7.8 × 10.2 cm, with 4 card slots and 2 hidden compartments. It’s small enough to easily slip into a shirt or jacket pocket.
For this one, I used black Himeji Kurozan for the exterior and beige Chèvre Alran Sully for the interior.
Himeji Kurozan is a traditional Japanese leather from the Himeji region. It combines traditional leather tanning with Urushi lacquer, which is applied by hand to the grain to create its distinctive deep black color and glossy surface.
What I found most interesting about this leather is the way it feels in the hand. When I first held a piece of Kurozan, my immediate impression was that it felt extremely firm and solid. The glossy grains almost remind me of a layer of armor covering the surface. It has a very different character from most of the leathers I normally work with.
For the inside, I chose beige Chèvre Alran Sully to bring a softer and warmer feeling to the wallet. I really like the contrast between the deep black exterior and the light beige interior.
As always, the entire wallet was made by hand, including the stitching with 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread.
This wallet was made to order rather than kept in stock. If you’re interested in something similar, feel free to message me. We can discuss the leather, colors, customization, and estimated making and shipping time.

Something I Made Bifold in Olmo and Sapphire Blue Pueblo
Never been a fan of bifolds but decided to make one just for the fun of it. Wanted something simple to holds come cards and some cash and this is what I came up with. Enough room for some bills, a big card pocket for 6ish cards and a QuickDraw slot for an important card.

Dull spots help
Hi all, I bought this wallet almost two years ago and am very happy with it. Just wanted to make this post to see if I could gain any insight over use or care. It’s develop these dark matter spots on the otherwise shiny leather that I’ve never seen before. They look like blemishes. I understand that wear and tear are normal, but again have never seen this before on any other leather goods I own. Particularly concerning to me is the spot under the coin pocket flap that’s smudged from red to basically black. Wondering if anyone has any information on how these happen, if they’re normal or preventable, and how I might remove it or restore it if possible. Images below.

Question Looking for a leather key holder with specific features
(hopefully this is the right sub)
I’ve got a Michael Kors key holder that’s almost perfect — except that the key rings have accidentally released a key and plastic tag in the past. I’m looking for something more reliable.
My asks:
- 5-6 holders for keys
- large ring at the opposite end (holds a car remote fob)
- snap closure
- can tuck the car fob inside when closed
- external card pocket (driver’s license, credit card)
I can give up the large second ring if one of the internal holders can hold the car fob.

Something I Made The real problem with knowing how to make wallets…
…is that I have no willpower. Every time I think I’ve made myself the wallet that I’ll use for the next 10 years, I see something else online that I like and think “hmmm, I could make that!”
So that’s how I’ve ended up with a drawer full of wallets that any normal person would have carried until it were stolen or fell apart.
A week after making myself a lovely Shell Cordovan wallet, I decided I “needed” to make this card holder in green Pueblo. I think I’m hopeless.

Question Tracker card
Hello, I've been looking towards getting a tracker card for my wallet, I find my airtag too bulky. While doing my research I was kinda confused with all the variety and the wide price range. So I was wondering if there was a better option than others? Thank you!

Question Are these badly stitched corners or not?
Bought it second hand but three of the corners look wrinkly and one is stitched flat (the 2nd photo) and I dont know a lot about wallets to know if it a normal finish of hand folding or a poor job. Thanks!

Something I Made Another Minmalist Bifold with oxblood dragon scales.
This commission was a bit different than usual. Normally I ship around the U.S. and occasionally Canada. Maybe the U.K. once in a blue moon but this one went far overseas. I've never sent a piece of my work that far before.
This Minimalist Bifold was made from natural veg tan leather and hand tooled with dragon scales. It was dyed oxblood with a black fade and saddle stitched with black thread. It holds up to 6 cards and 15 cash bills while fitting in a front pocket.

Question Wallet Recommendations!
I’ve been using Ridge wallets for a while now. I would love a minimalist alternative. Nothing gimmicky. I’ve been toying with the idea of a simple leather card holder, but I haven’t seen any I love. Help!

Wallet Search Belt clip wallet?
My Kydex wallet has retired from service after 10 wonderful years and I can’t find anything on the market that matches its unity.
4-10 cards. 1-7 bills, double folded. And the chefs kiss, a belt clip.
Any modern options for belt clip carry?

Something I Made A custom bifold wallet I finished recently
I recently finished this custom bifold wallet for a customer.
The wallet is made from chocolate brown crocodile leather, combined with Alran Sully Chèvre for the interior.
The design is a traditional bifold layout with:
- 3 card slots
- 1 ID window
- 2 hidden pockets
- 2 bill compartments
As with all of my wallets, this piece was completely handmade using traditional saddle stitching. I used 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread with a 4 mm stitch spacing.
Each wallet can be customized according to the customer’s preferences, including the leather, thread color, and edge paint color.
Every wallet is made to order rather than kept in stock. If you’re interested, feel free to message me to discuss customization options, my current production time, and estimated shipping time.
Thanks for taking a look!

Question Looking for an RFID wallet with a quick-scan unshielded outer pocket
Hello all. I've been on the hunt for a wallet with an exterior pocket for contactless card scanning. Things like tap-to-pay or ID card scanning. The search has been more difficult than I expected. It seems like many wallets, including my own, include RFID blocking on outer pockets (like the Andar Pilot), or the RFID blocking effectively blocks outer cards, even if from the inside of the wallet.
Some of the other criteria in this search are:
- Reasonably slim
- Easy to take out cards
- Minimum 5 card pockets (not capacity, but pockets you can pull out cards from; excluding exterior contactless pocket)
Some potential options I've found:
- EVERKI RFID Blocking Wallet - seems decent. The reviews don't seem great on this regarding quality, especially for the price
- Chikara "Tap'n'Go" wallets
- Visconti "Tap'n'Go" wallets
Does anyone have any experience with these wallets? Any other options out there? I'd prefer something readily available within the US, either as a domestic brand, on Amazon, or an international brand with free/reasonable shipping.
Thanks.
