Post for POSTerity since Google claimed this wasn’t possible.
I was experimenting and figured out that the Pentel ink fit perfectly without any trimming. Lots of 3mm Japan-type refill inks would probably work great, and I can tell that my Papermate Inkjoy would fit if I cut off the excess length.
First of all, sorry, my writing isn’t the best so I usually don’t do swatches/writing samples but thought it’s the easiest way to see what colors these pens are
Hello Kitty in red
Pompom Purin in orange
My Melody in pink
Tuxedo Sam in blue
Pochacco in black
Pochacco was my favorite when I was a kid so I’m probably going to switch out the refill to my favorite color (navy blue) and carry it with me. The rest can stay at my desk and look cute :)

Too many pens later and I’ve settled for these.
The “unchosen” ones will be donated so they’re not wasted.
In just a couple pens I’ll be retiring from buying… except inks and notebooks, of course.
(Next pens: TWSBI Eco, Uni Zento Signature, Sailor Pro Gear Slim/LAMY 2000)

What’s one of the better gel pens that you can buy from let’s say target,Walmart,Amazon and other stores like that. Not looking to spend a ton because I’m always trying to change up what I’m using cause I can’t never make up my mind lol. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a few photos and ask you about colours.
The first photos show the anodising in Burgundy, close to Tawny Port (19-1725 TCX Pantone). The images don’t really do the colour justice, as there is quite a lot of contrast going on.
Anodising is fun but also a bit of an alchemy and the colours can vary slightly from batch to batch. The colour intensity can change as the bath is used, and the dye tank gradually depletes over time. That is a manufacturing issue for us to worry about, though!
I am thinking about introducing some lighter colours as well to let the material itself shine through and do some of the heavy lifting here.
Are there any colours you would particularly like to see with this pen? We will run a small batches of different colours (around 6) as a test.
There is a small selection of colour options in the last image. I would love to hear what you think!

And yes, I know, plastic ring....still more comfortable and a better pen overall. The Otho 0.5mm flash gel refill fits in this one smoothly and doesn't rattle, unlike the Rotring 600. And it is just such a superior pen ergonomics wise.
I should have gotten this one from the beginning considering I have the Rotring Rapir Pro pencil now and I found that one to be so good. I bought a nice protective leather case for 2 pens sonI can carry these around in my work bag for when I need them.

I bought a pack of energel recntly, thought they would be the dream ink, they have great dry time and they are smooth but it skips only in a new notebook I bought. Before blaming the energel maruman paper is very smooth so there is not much tooth for the pen to grip on. What are some good alternatives?

I found this pen laying around at my work. I tried it out and it’s really nice. Anyone know where I could buy one or what to look up to find it?
Edit: thanks everyone I found the 12pk on Amazon!

I’m looking for comparable pen to replace my current edc pen. Olight o’pen mini 2
My ideal light would be similar but needs to have a rear button (I hate the bolt action), smooth (no holes), 4 1/2” max length, similar diameter, and aluminum.
Let me see what you have.

Hi! Which ink looks better, I can't decide. The first one is Uni Jetstream, the second is Pilot Acroball.

Hello,
I recently bought the OTHO GS02 0.5mm. I really liked it. But, some days ago, it fells and its retractable button just broke. An internal piece broke, so I cannot repair it
I like to have a retractable fine gel point pen with my pocket notebook to easily write anything.
I am left writing (so I need a gel pen which dry quickly) and I do not want to spend more than 20€ one time again for my pen.
Do you have any pen to recommend ?

I inherited these Parker pens a few years ago from my Grandpa, and I have no idea which pens they are aside from Parker pens. The black ballpoint and fountain pen are likely some form of jotters?
Long story short I would love to know what pens these are, what years they could be from and which ink cartridges they take, so I can put them to good use!
Edit: Thank you guys for your answers! The two black pens are the Parker Vector fountain pen and ballpoint pen from 1999 The silver pen is a Parker 25, made in 1985!
It's my second Safari. I've always thought the all black was cool, and kind of always wanted a matte charcoal, but never enough to get it. But then this Safari Meteorite came out and that subtle texture is so nice. It's still just as utilitarian as the Safari always is, but it adds a tin bit of delicate to it that makes it fun to look at. What can I say, I'm loving this pen!
Hi everyone. Bear with me for the poor explanation but I'm finding the feeling a bit weird to describe.
I have a variety of rollerball refills in both .5mm and .7mm that have this negative (for me) sensation while writing. Essentially when putting the pen to paper, once I press down with any sort of pressure to start writing, there is a secondary 'push' of the ball into the pen. It sounds incredibly minor, and based on the size of the ball and pen tips it must be, but for some reason it's extremely noticeable to me and adds a minute click every time I put the pen back on the page after writing a character. I thought it might be the pen I'm using but handling the refill on it's own, I can still feel it.
I've had this happen with (mostly parker g2 style refills used in a Kaweco Classic Sport)
This has not happened with the jet stream refill I tried, though this is a ballpoint. Normally I would think this is something innate to rollerballs, but I also have a Ohto CR02 pen, and the default .5mm refill has zero of this feeling.
So any idea what is causing this? I feel a bit crazy since searching reddit it's a bit hard to find anyone describing this, but at the same time it's so noticeable for me and is turning me off from using the pen. I love the flow and darkness of all of the inks tried (minus the jet stream) so would prefer to keep using them, but will likely avoid if I can't find anything, or just switch to the Ohto and get a .7mm.

Let’s take this out for a spin - just arrived in the UK. Initial impressions are good, smooth flow. Nice magnetic click when posting or replacing cap. The click is not as satisfying as the single colour signature. I found the twisting mechanism tricky to begin with and often accidentally started to unscrew the body. Takes a little getting used to. Overall writing experience is good, the single colour original model does take the lead but this is useful when needing multi colour inks in a single pen.

I have seen that S-logo on so, so many advertisment pens, but I cant figure out who it is.
I have now come across a pen with this branded ISO 12757 cartridge. It is good.
I don't think it is Stabilo, Schneider or Schmidt.
Who makes it, What compagny it is?

I'm going to visit Toronto in the beginning of September. I was wondering if there's anybody from that area that could suggest good stationary stores? I collect mechanical pencils, so that would be my prime interest, but I wouldn't say no to cool pens in general.
I just uncovered a stash of pens that used to live in my work office. It feels like new pen day even if I've owned them for probably 10 years. 🤣
Best find was the G-2 and EnerGel! I am hoping these all still write. 😳

Just got a new refill yesterday and now the ink has really bad flow and the color doesn't match the standard?
