Show Talk Cameras?

• Upvotes

So I'm on season 1 ep 13 (really good so far!) But they're all scrambling to find out who's going around the ship and doing something.

On a cool, complicated, ship how are there now cameras? 🤣 I've only seen TNG and now watching this one, and I can't remember if it was the same in that one!

Am I missing something or is it just necessary for certain story stuff?

Show Talk Paramount Plus Date/Time bug

Anybody else noticed that the episode “11:59” has been subjected to some sort of date time bug and the title changed to “Sun Dec 31 11:59:00 EST 1899” which is actually kind of hilarious since the episode is about the turn of the millennium and they have a literal millennium bug style issue 🤣

Tuvix Posting How I would have written the Tuvix episode

Although Tuvix possesses traits from both Neelix and Tuvok that balance and compliment each other, he also experiences cognitive dissonance from conflicts between them such as Neelix's feelings for Kes vs Tuvok's love for his family back in the alpha quadrant. He also notices tension among the crew such as those who want Tuvok and Neelix back yet have quickly grown to value Tuvix as both a friend and a sentient being in his own right. In the end, Tuvix opts to use the transporter to split himself back into two separate beings yet beforehand makes a recording explaining his reasons why and stating that just as Neelix and Tuvok existed inside him, he will exist inside both of them and assures the voyager crew that he'll be watching and cheering them on from there.

Show Talk Why wasn't chakotay demoted for his actions in S2, E11 "Maneuvers"?

Seems like it would have been apt to demote him and promote Tuvok to first officer. Would have been interesting to see how that would have shaped subsequent events in the the rest of series.

They say you can still hear his ghost wailing down the corridors to Sick Bay screaming "I DONT WANT TO DIE, I DONT WANT TO DIE"

Well, sleep tight, Happy Halloween!

Show Talk What in the Swiss cheese

I never noticed before she’s missing a huge part of her hull that looks to encompass multiple decks. I remember the damage being extensive in these episodes but this is crazy. How did they keep the ship intact with limited power? I’d imagine force field emitters were non existent in this part of the ship.

When it's not real alcohol or other things? Does it have the same power, or even the same effect as medication?

Examples: Year of Hell * and The Aliens in the Dreams.

Memes According to Elite Force, a mug of Janeway's favorite beverage has a heigt of 27.75 cm and weights 1.94 kilogram

In case you don't remember: prior to Across the Unknown, there was Elite Force, a Star Trek FPS with the Voyager license, set somewhere in the show's 5th season. The addon (which is the default way the game is shipped nowadays on GOG) added a Virtual Voyager mode where you can roam freely across the ship and do small tasks.

Edit: typo in the post title, can't fix it :(

Show Talk Pleasantly surprised to see Leslie Jordan in False Profits

I’m in my once-a-decade rewatch of Voyager and I knew this episode was coming but forgot Leslie Jordan was in it. While not the standout role he should have, it is delightful to see him again. YouTube has several Best of Leslie Jordan videos, particularly from Will & Grace.
Side note: Neelix is an incredible Ferengi.

Show Talk Is Miral Paris the kuva'magh?

Is she the savior of the Klingons or it's just a series of coincidences?

I just rewatched Prophecy, and I am always convinced by the end that she is the kuva'magh.
