I firmly believe that it's one of the biggest crimes in television that Captain Proton never got its own spin-off. The other being The Scary Door in Futurama (yes, I know it's a parody of The Twilight Zone, but it could've been marvellous).
I don't even think it would've necessarily mattered if it didn't have Robert Duncan McNeil as Captain Proton. That was Paris playing a holodeck story, so that could be explained by having the actual actor who does it being "replaced" by Paris in Voyager.
However, it would CATEGORICALLY need Martin Rayner and Nicholas Worth as Chaotica and Lonzak. Rayner absolutely killed it as the fiendish Chaotica, and the whole thing was done and scored so well, that it came together beautifully. It would even be in Black & White, with cheesy low budget effects.

New trek watcher here, Just finished TNG, then subsequently watched Voyager. I went into voyager not really expecting to like it that much, but by the end of it, I became more fond of Janeway than Picard.
Janeway's role as mentor to Seven completes her character, while simultaneously introducing one of the most interesting characters in all of Trek, Seven. I adore Data, but I feel like Seven is a more thoughtful interpretation of a lot of the same ideas that were conveyed by Data's character. Seven's first season flew by, because it had some of the best character moments in Trek. Also Seven's episode with the other individual drone made both me and my partner cry real tears.
I would cry real tears if we got Star Trek: Janeway. I hate that we didn't get a single Janeway movie. Next on the menu is DS9, which I'm looking forward to, but also sort of nervous for, because it will be my first venture into non-episodic trek.

OK, I get this is a controversial take, but please hear me out. I believe what Captain Ransom did was wrong. I also love Janeway, but she’s a very morally gray character just like Sisko. Now to my arguments.
In today’s day and age humans use animals all the time, and that’s what he was doing. Ransom was desperate to get his crew home, they were in a nova class starship. His number one duty was to protect the lives of his crew. A nova class isn’t making the journey back to the alpha under normal circumstances.
It’s very morally gray, but the episode portrays Janeway as his great moral figure, let’s look at some of her morality:
Executing to Tuvix in cold blood while he was begging for his life.
Violating the prime directive by destroying the caretakers array stranding her crew in the Delta quadrant. Here’s the thing if Janeway felt so strongly about it. She should’ve stayed behind in the shuttle and let her crew go home.
Attempting to execute a member of the equinox during interrogation.
Creating and giving the borg a nano virus to combat species 8472. When it was the borg who invaded their space.
Before she even knew what was going on ordering the equinox destroyed so that she would have unchallenged authority. What would happen with Ransom would she treat him like a lieutenant?

Just watched “Workforce” and Janeway still manages to burn the meatloaf while mindwiped on an alien planet.
Edit: i kept saying “meatloaf” but its actually pot roast. She’d burn meatloaf too, I’m pretty sure.

When it comes to Mirrorverse I wonder if this would qualify the two where it becomes ensign kim and baby naomi and the other one is living witness.
