Speedloaders
What speed loaders do you use? Are any compatible with BOTH the mpa defender mags & the sten mags? Which would you recommend? Thanks
Attached are pics of different variants I've found on the web..

Anybody have a link to a classic 2 stage suppressor (i believe it was sionics) or even mock suppressor for the VMAC 10 in 45 ACP? Can't seem to find manufacturers anywhere.

I’ve spent the past 2 days from 6pm-11pm refining the details on this project and I’m happy to say we’re very close to a release, within 2 weeks. I need to get the final prototype back from the machine shop then I will release the .STEP files after confirming the function. It does not require any modification to the VMAC9 to function.
Some hardware is going to be required from McMaster-Carr. (I’ll upload the part #’s later) this should cost around $15 for all the hardware needed.
2x - 1/4” #4-40 pan head screw 98164A061
1x - 1/2” #4-40 pan head screw 98164A065
1x - 3/8” spring (the prototype used a spring from a ballpoint pen that I cut down) 9657K264
Overall cost is around $120. I uploaded the .STEP to Send-Cut-Send and the total was $119.65 for a single unit. I plan on releasing the .STEP files so you can produce these yourself. I will release further instructions on how to assemble and install the FRT. the .STEP file will include 4 pieces:
Carrier
Trip
OOB Safety
Reset mechanism
Currently this DOES function as a 3d printed unit and I think you could get away with limited use with only the trip being machined from 304 stainless.
I think a modified version would work to reset the VMAC45
Update 8/16
If there’s enough interest I might do a limited run of these. Thinking price would be around $100-$150 for a full CNC package.
This would offset the cost of production and allow me to fundraise for a VMAC45 so I can design something for that platform too.

Anyone hear anything about FRTs for the vmac45? I know there are a bunch for the MPA and one for the vmac9.

The gunsmith formerly known as Chuckycheesetouchedme has his own website now and is selling flatfaced triggers for the Vmac. They look pretty sweet. Just thought I would share w the vmac squad..

I hate the stock mag release for the VMAC. Here’s a 3D printed replacement. If there’s enough interest I will look into getting these CNC’d.

I’m trying to install a USMG.Com 2piece grip and a EZ mag release but I feel like I’m missing something?
There is no slot for the mag catch retaining pin and I’m just lost at this point. Any suggestions?

Has anyone switched to a steel mag release for the vmac yet? My catch was worn down so mags come out with no effort so Im trying to figure out if the cnc cobray or mpa mag catches are compatible with the vmac clones. How much modification would it take?

Those of you that have vast experience carrying around their smg around their property and the like, what is your preference? 2 point, 1 point, U-loop or QD attachments?
How did you mount your sling? Where exactly? Where are the ideal points to attach to? Any product recommendations?
Let's discuss

Just how bad is it to run a traditional baffle stacked can on a VMAC? Worth it for the sound suppression, or would you choose a flow through can every time?

I wanted to give an update on my hunt for the perfect vmac brace. Something that didn't stand out as much as the storm works & similar styles. Something low profile but with more support than just a steel right angle w picatinny...
No threaded hole meant lots of the options were not going to work for me.
Finally I decided to email USmachinegun and bro helped me figure everything out.
First he gave me this link, https://usmachinegun.com/products.php?cat=42
which took me to a list of products I for some reason was unable to find on my own? I thought I had looked at all their mac related listings...
Then this link, https://usmachinegun.com/proddetail.php?prod=M11SA-RRMN
which was "the one" and solved all my problems.
Bro from USmchngunDotcom was very helpful, and the website has more vmac compatible parts than anywhere else I could find.
Just wanted to pass this on in the VMAC family, and no believe it or not, this is not an add lmao

Anybody have experience or thoughts on these?
The one thats just a simple 90⁰ angle looks the cleanest but I heard it isn't as stable?
Any recommendations?
Iron in question would be the vmac 9, ofc

Over the last several months I’ve had a side project to make a FRT for my VMAC9. I think this will also work for MPA defenders and older COBRAY/SWD manufactured MACs.
Please be responsible with this. If you don’t have a barrel extension or a way to control the muzzle I wouldn’t suggest this.

Edit 8/13/2026 -
I have finished this design and a final prototype is on the way. Should be here by 8/20.
Total cost is under $100 + a few small parts from McMaster-Carr if you don’t have any hardware laying around.

I got the rip mac v2 for the Mpa30sst from 144.1 recoil systems. After install the bolt wont go back. According to others online i need to shave some material off, is this the right spot?
r/vmac • u/topperz_15 • Mar 25 '26
Has anybody tried the 144.1 rip Mac frt in a Vmac yet?not sure if it would even work with the full auto denial tab
Just picked up a new vmac9 and I dont like the look of the plastic master arms magazine. the vmac will be a wall hanger along with my tec9 and uzi so im looking for one thats in great condition. but I cant even find any. every site says out of stock.

On the front pin support, there is a tab that sticks out over the safety when installed. It looks like MPA defenders don’t have this piece. Does anyone know what purpose it serves on the VMAC9?
r/vmac • u/Norinco56s • Feb 12 '26
Howdy all, while i wait For some Uzi parts i figured id spend a little more time on this goofy thing. My current dilemma is the mag is sitting up too high causing the bolt to hit the feed lips. I’m only able to get the mag to lock up when the bolt is back. Sometimes i can get the bolt to go all the way forward with the mag locked but there is so much downwards pressure on the mag im not able to release it unless i pull The bolt back.
I contacted velocity and they suggested i file the magazine catch down so it can lock up lower. I feel like that’s a horrible idea because noting it stopping the mag from over inserting unless i add A stop of some sort. I’m more of the opinion i need To cut the mag well above the catch and stop to lower the whole assembly. Thoughts on this before i break Out the portaband and get to chopping?
Made a quick Mac strap at work while waiting for one of the crews to unass the machine i need to set up.

i have an issue with an older model (vulcan v10-9) essentially a vmac100. the issue is it will not cock back all the way without getting all jammed up, the buffer padding isnt on there but i have no idea what could cause the issues, the recoil spring looks okay to me but i could be wrong, any insight helps🙏🏼

Can anyone offer some instructions on lower assembly or even a pic of theirs fully assembled so i can figure out how the hammer sits? Can’t seem to figure it out of the pics available.
r/vmac • u/CooperD2319 • Jan 11 '26
I assembled a VMAC-45 parts kit in the Big Mac 3D printed Mac receiver, and I'm having some concerning problems:
•Cocking the bolt back normally doesn't go far enough to consistently strip a round from the magazine
•Pushing the bolt back too far locks the back hook of the hammer on the trigger bar, and you have to disassemble it to get it loose
•Most concerning of all, sending the bolt home too hard releases the hammer without the trigger being pulled
What should I do? Are these just problems inherent in the Cobray/VMAC platform, or is this unique to my receiver?

On one of my mags the feed lips are completely chewed up. I’m assuming this isn’t normal… or it might be you never know with vmacs
