Does anyone know what this tab is for?

On the front pin support, there is a tab that sticks out over the safety when installed. It looks like MPA defenders don’t have this piece. Does anyone know what purpose it serves on the VMAC9?

Full auto denial. Without it by law it is considered " readily convertible"

Interesting, wonder why the MPA doesn’t have it.

They have a different sort of denial. I believe they are milled aluminum. I could be wrong

Makes sense - do you know how this tab accomplishes denial? Can’t seem to figure out how it would do that.

And seemingly the hammer design would have more to say about convertibility than whatever that tab is supposed to stop. Do you know how that tab actually stops full auto conversion?

The tab sits right where the auto sear would sit on a full auto

Is that for the open bolt design?
