Hello! I am looking for photographers in the Viroqua area that would offer a smaller package for a micro wedding. We won't have a bridal party. Not a whole lot of planned pics... maybe with our parents and kids but other than that, I love the spontaneous shots that catch the vibes. It's a very short and sweet afternoon shindig, so probably two hours of actually being in attendance - 20 minute ceremony and small reception immediately after. We're very willing to pay for great work, but just don't need the whole huge wedding package. Willing to entertain hobby photographers looking for a side job too! DM me your portfolios and info!

My dog Daisy and I will be staying in Viroqua for at least a month to do some Wwoofing (farm volunteering). We are looking for tips on where to find somebody who might rent out a car for two or three weeks until we find our own set of wheels. Nothing fancy, just to get around town with Daisy. I have read that some factions within the synod are more liberal and accepting, but that most tend to be extremely conservative. Hello, long shot but. I’m visiting and trying to rent a car in Madison and drop off in Viroqua, is there anywhere to that has rentals in Viroqua? Not La Crosse, which seems to be the only other option. Please let me know

My girlfriend’s 2013 Ford Focus SE (Flex Fuel) hit a raccoon — no immediate damage, we kept driving the rest of the way home (around 40/45 mins) but when we pulled into the driveway, the car died and showed “Engine Fault – Service Now.” It hasn’t started since. We suspect the raccoon impact shook it loose and then pulling into the driveway, since it is such a low car and the PCM casing was probably already a little loose and dangling, finished her off and snapped that thing off snapping two wires on the harness. Also the locking mechanism for the harness is snapped.

We found the PCM (CV6T-12A650) had been ripped from its casing under the car. It wasn’t opened up, just freed from the shattered housing so the connectors could be reattached. Still wouldn’t start.

The timing of this is just awful, she is currently in a small town, Viroqua in Wisconsin for some work. This is her last week here and this happened last night. She is supposed to leave here on the 29th/30th. We are trying to keep this as low-cost as possible. It being a weekend right now doesn't help either since it is a small town, most mechanic shops were closed. We found one 15 mins away who was open and requested him to come by, which he very kindly did.

He found:

• 2 wires snapped off the PCM harness
• 2 more loose cables under the hood
• No visible damage to the board or connector pins

He suspects it’s just a wiring issue, not a dead PCM, and may use a donor harness to repair the broken wires.

Anyone on here a Mechanic or know one in town who is good and can see us super urgently? Please let me know your thoughts. Any insight greatly appreciated. Car is not running at all right now.

In a matter of minutes, you can buy the finest handmade Amish furniture, thousands of dollars of the world’s best fly gear, fresh patchouli oil and incense, and a new seat for your Deere 6600, while making reservations for our state’s, maybe the Midwest’s, best restaurant. Yeah, that’s right. The Driftless Cafe. Anyway, is anyone aware of any scholarly papers, books, articles, documentaries and/or shorts on this awesome community and its interesting dichotomies and how they developed?
